✦⋆· Imam Ali (as) said, "I have never seen faith in a certain decree [i.e.decree] more resembling than the doubt of the human being.

Every day he bids farewell to graves and goes to funeral processions, but he returns to the delusion of the world, and he does not relinquish desires and sins.

If the poor son of Adam did not have a single sin to deviate him and no reckoning to contemplate with than death that scatters his union, disunites his congregation, orphans his children then it would be a must for him to be cautious of what he is in with the greatest of exhaustion and hardship."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Every breath you take is a step towards death."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Death is near and our mutual company is short."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Death is never far for anyone."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When you have to depart from this world and meet death (eventually), then why do you wish delay? And why do you feel nervous about it?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ Al-Da'awat narrated from Hures Hamadani, "At the time of noon, I went to see Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (as).

Imam (as) asked, "What brought you here?"

I said, 'By Allah, I have affection towards you.'

Imam (as) said, "If you're honest then without a doubt you will see me during three times. When your soul reaches this place. Then with his hand he pointed towards his throat. And when passing the bridge of Siraat. And near the Pond of Abundance (Hawd al-Kawthar)."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "I am surprised at the one who sees that his lifespan and his breaths are decreasing every day, but still does not fear death."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When one is not safe from the invasion of death, not getting ready for is a weakness."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ Imam Ali (as) was following a funeral and as it was passing along a road, somebody laughed loudly (a sign of discourtesy and lack of manner).

Hearing this laugh, Imam (as) remarked, "Some people feel that death is meant for everybody except themselves or it is destined to others and not to themselves or those whom we see dying around us are only travelers going on a journey and will come back to us.

It is a sad sight to see that in one moment we commit them to earth and in the next we take hold of the things left by them as if we are going to remain permanently in this world after them.

The fact is that we forget sensible advice given to us and become victim of every calamity."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "O Servants of Allah! After the death, is more difficult for those who haven't been forgiven than the death itself.

O the grave, be afraid of its pressure, darkness and its loneliness."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Remember death and after the death, and never wish for death unless with a firm condition."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "After death, nothing will be useful for you except the good deeds that you have sent before. Thus, gain something for your Hereafter by doing deeds.

I advise you to have Tawqa (God-wariness). The Taqwa that is provision and shelter. The provision that will be sent to your Hereafter and the shelter that will keep you safe from Hellfire."

Taqwa: Taqwa is an Islamic term for being conscious and cognizant of God, of truth, "piety, fear of God." It is often found in the Quran.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○"Don't be like someone who doesn't work in doing good deeds yet has hopes for their Hereafter; is afraid of death but doesn't do anything before leaving this world."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ Imam (as)'s response to someone who asked what needs to be done when wanting to get ready for death?

"Performing your obligatory duties/Prayers, being away from Haram, and having a good personality.

When one follows all these rules. Then there's no fear for them if they're going towards death or death follows them.

By Allah, the son of Abu Talib doesn't fear going towards death or death following him."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "This world is not created for you to stay but its like a passage in which you gain good deeds for your Hereafter."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "People in this world are like travelers whose journey is going on though they are asleep. ( Life's journey is going on though men may not feel it )."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Remember death and the day of Judgement in which you'll come out of your graves and stand at the presence of Almighty Allah (swt), a lot, so that disasters become easy for you."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Make your lives excited for the blessings of Paradise, so that you'll love death and think of staying alive as an enemy."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The one who is ready for their journey, will be happy with a peaceful mind when the time arrives."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Prophet Muhammad (saw) advised us to bury our deceased among the righteous people because just like those who are alive, the deceased can also be bothered with having a bad neighbour."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "In this world gain good provision for your Hereafter (good deeds/actions) because in the day of Judgement with the help of that, you'll be able to hold yourselves."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "If anyone leaves good deeds after themselves behind and other people learn from it. They aren't dead. And anyone who's written a good teaching, their name will be said because of it."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Anyone who's been called wise/knowledgeable, but they aren't. Their face is of humans but their heart is of an animal.

They don't know the path to guidance and salvation in order to go after it. And they don't know the path of misguidance in order to stay away from it. Thus, they're a dead amongst those who are alive."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Death for someone who is a slave of their desires and captured by their own whim/lust is a source of comfort; because the more they live and age, their sins increases more. And their crimes against themselves increases and grows bigger."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The Lier and the dead is similar because the superiority of the living to the deceased is that they're alive. Then, if you can't trust their words, they are not alive."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "More difficult than death is neediness towards the ineligible."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "More difficult than death is the thing that in order to be free from it, makes one wish for death."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "They'll see those who love this world, caring for the body of their deceaseds. But they consider the death of their hearts more important."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Death sticks to you closer than your shadow and has more control over you than yourselves."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "If anyone was supposed to find a ladder to climb or find a way to distance themselves from death, that person would be Prophet Sulaiman (as) who was ruling over Jinns and Humans and had a great position and the position of Prophethood.

However, since he received his sustenance completely and reached the end of his life.

The arrows of death flew towards him, and the houses became empty of him and without an owner and other people took over those possessions."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The times of this world, no matter how long, is still short and getting benefits from it, no matter how plenty, is still few."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ Imam Ali (as) in response to someone's question regarding some Ayahs of Holy Qur'an about taking the soul of humans explained,

"The status of Allah (swt), the Almighty is bigger and higher for him to personally do the work of taking humans souls, and the works of his Messengers and Angels is considered his work because they all work by the order of Allah (swt).

Therefore, anyone who obeyed Allah (swt) and followed his commands will have the Angels of mercy coming to them, as for those who were sinners and disobeyed Allah (swt), they will have the Angel of punishment coming to them.

Azrail (as), the Angel of death has assistants both from Angels of mercy and Angels of punishment who obey his orders and their work is his work and whatever they do will be related to Azrail (as).

And the work of Azrail is the work of Allah (swt), since Allah (swt) will take the souls, by the hands of whomever he wishes."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Allah (swt) will plan the works whichever way he wants.

From his creations, whomever he wants will be appointed to whatever work he wants them to do.

He will appoint Azrail (as) to whomever of his creation that he wants. And will send his Angels to any of his creation that he wants. The Angels that have been named will be sent to those whom he wants.

Allah (swt), the Almighty will plan the affairs whichever way he wants.

And anyone with any knowledge and wisdom can't describe and explain it to all of the people, because some people aren't strong in understanding contents, and some other are weak.

Also, receiving and withstanding some of the knowledge is easy and some of the other ones aren't easy for people to take in. Except special Servants of Allah (swt), because Allah makes the carrying of such knowledge easy for them and will help them in the path of understanding those knowledge and wisdom.

But for you it's enough to know that it's Allah (swt) who gives life and takes the life. And will take the souls by the hands of Angels or anyone else that he wants."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "O people! you become the administrate of yourself and whatever you want people to do with your wealth and possession, do it yourself now."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Every house and place have a door, and the door of Hereafter is death."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The grave of human beings calls out every day: I am the foreign house, I am the soil house, I am the horror house, I am the worm and ant house!"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When a human passes away, people will say, what did they left after themselves? and the Angels will say, what did they sent beforehand for themselves?"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Forgetting death is the result of your heart becoming rusty." (The many sins being committed causes humans to forget their death).

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The time where all the pleasures ends forever and only the bad effects of sins will be left! Remember this always."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Anyone who remembers death a lot will have their interest in the world lessened."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The deceased knows the person who's washing their corpse. They can see people that are carrying them to their grave and the moment they're put inside their grave, two Angels will come inside their grave and ask them questions."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Visit the decease's grave, they will become happy by seeing you."

✦⋆· Imam Hassan (as) in response to a man who said,

'Why do we find death unpleasant and dislike it?'

Imam (as) said, "Its because you ruined your Hereafter and built your world, and you don't want to be transferred from a well built place to a place that's ruined."

━━━━••••°•❈•°•••••━━━━

✦⋆· Imam Hussain (as) on his way to Karbala said,"To me, death is nothing but happiness, and living under tyrants nothing but living in suffering and sorrow ."

━━━━••••°•❈•°•••••━━━━

✦⋆· Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as), when asked about death said, "For a believer, it is like taking off dirty clothes, undoing shackles and heavy chains, and changing into the finest and most scented of clothes. It is the happiest of stations and the most comforting of abodes. As for the disbeliever, it is like taking off fine clothes, transferring from comfortable abodes, and changing into the dirtiest and roughest of clothes, the most terrifying of stations and the greatest of punishments."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When it became difficult for Hussain bin Ali bin Abi Talib (as), his companions looked at him and saw that he felt opposite to them, since the companions had gone pale, and their bodies were shaking and their hearts beating.

However, Imam Hussain (as) and some of his other special companions weren't pale and their bodies were calm.

Thus, those companions looked at each other and said, 'Look, he doesn't fear death!'

Imam Hussain (as) said to them, 'Be patient, O great companions! since death is not more than a bridge that will move you away from pains and misery towards Paradise and its endless blessings.

Is there anyone from amongst you who doesn't like to go from a prison to a palace?!'

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The grave of human beings is either a garden from the gardens of Paradise or a pit from the pits of Hell."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ It's been narrated that someone asked Imam (as) 'what is the best death?'

Imam (as) replied, "Its the one in which humans leave their buildings, houses, and palaces."

They asked, "What does it mean?"

Imam (as) replied, "They do repentance from their sins, and spend time doing good deeds, and meet Allah the most merciful and benevolent while they're in this state.

The long path and far travel, and the magnificence of the place we're going to enter!"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "The most difficult times for human beings are at three times: When they see the Angel of death, when they rise from their grave in Judgement day, and when they stand before their Creator, Almighty Allah (swt), then, they either go to Paradise or Hell."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When the Angel Israfil, blows in his trumpet, all the creatures will die, and a deadly silence will fill the entire universe. Then Allah (swt) will ask the Angel of death Azrail, 'O Azrail, who are left?'

Azrail will respond, 'You, My Creator who is immortal, the Archangels: Jibrail, Mikail, Israfil and Myself.'

Allah will command Azrail to take the souls of those Archangels.

Then Allah will ask again. 'Who is left?'

Azrail will respond, 'Your weak & poor Servant, myself, Azrail.'

At that moment, Allah (swt) will address Azrail and say, 'Die, Azrail!'

Then Azrail will scream in a way that if people were alive and heard it, they would've lost their lives because of it.

When Azrail tastes the bitterness of death, he'll say, 'If I knew death was this bitter and difficult, then I would've shown more tolerance towards faithful Servants of Allah.

Then Allah will address the universe and say, "O World! Where are your kings & their children? Where are the Oppressors & their children? Where are the gathers of wealth who didn't pay their obligatory rights? To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? No one will respond! Then Allah (swt) will say, To Allah, the One, the Prevailing."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Whenever you're attending the burial ceremony and walking behind the deceased. Think as if you are the one on the shoulders and as if you want Allah (swt) to bring you back to earth, so you work like someone who is alive and do good deeds, because the world in the eyes of wise people is like a shadow."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Where are those people who had longer lifespan than yours, and much bigger and longer wishes than yours?!"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Believers go through any misfortunes and die through different types of death. However, they never try taking their own life and committing suicide."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "When any of you is in the state of passing away, help them to say, Shahadah (declaration of belief in the oneness of God) La ilaha illa Allah, and the Wilayat of Ahlulbayt (as)."

He'll say, 'let me return to the world so I can tell my family of what I'm seeing.' But they'll tell him, 'It's not possible.'

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "A Believer doesn't feel it when they're exiting this world, and this is for those who are patient and have sympathy towards their fellow Muslims and take care of them."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Take with you plenty of baggages and equipment because the travel is far and lengthy."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Amir al-Mu'minin was helping with the burial of a deceased and when they put the body inside the place.

The family of the deceased, screamed and cried. Imam (as) asked,'Why are you crying?' By Allah (swt) if they were to see what their deceased saw, without a doubt, it would make them forget crying. By Allah (swt) death would come back to them many times until it leaves no one behind."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Whoever wants Allah (swt) to make the difficulties of death become easy for them, should be helpful and kind towards their family/relatives and parents. If they do this, Allah (swt) will remove the difficulties of death for them and they'll never become needy in their life."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

●○ "Its proper for those who are the family of the deceased to let the fellow Muslim brothers of him know of his death so they attend the burial ceremony and pray for his body. With this, they'll gain rewards and its a Istighfar for the deceased as well."
