✦⋆· said, "If you want Allah to enrich your wealth then give the alms-tax from it."
✦⋆· said,"Strengthen your capital by paying the alms-tax."
● "The zakat of power is equity."
● "The zakat of beauty is Chastity."
● "The zakat of prosperity is goodness to one's neighbours and maintaining relations with one's kin."
● "The zakat of health is exerting oneself in Allah's obedience."
● "The zakat of courage is fighting in the way of Allah."
● "He who pays the obligatory alms-tax at the end of Ramadan, Allah uses it to make up for any deficit in the alms-tax paid on his wealth."
● "For everything that you own there is Zakat, and Zakat of your body is fasting."
✦⋆· said, "The giving of the alms-tax never diminishes wealth."
✦⋆· said, "We found the following written in the book of the Prophet (saw): ...When the alms-tax is withheld, the earth withholds all its yield of plants, fruits and minerals."
● "He who refuses to pay the alms-tax, on the Day of Resurrection Allah will transform his wealth into a cobra with two venom glands that will coil itself around him and be told, 'Tighten your grip on him just as he was tight-fisted with you in the world.'
This is in accordance with Allah's verse in the Qur'an: "They will be collared with what they grudge..."
✦⋆· with regards to Allah's verse in the Qur'an: "Charities are only for the poor...", said, 'The poor man is he who does not beg from people [despite his poverty], the destitute lives in even harsher conditions than him, and the wretched one lives in the most straitened circumstances of all."
● "Verily upon everything is its zakat, and the zakat of knowledge is to teach it to those who are worthy of it."

● "Allah - exalted be His remembrance - has not obligated anything more difficult for this community than paying the alms-tax, and the downfall of the majority of people lies in [their failure to pay] it."
● "The prayer of one who does not give the alms-tax is void, and the alms-tax of the impious is void."
● "The alms-tax has been prescribed as a test for the rich and an aid to the poor. If people duly paid the alms-tax on their wealth, there would not remain a single poor or needy Muslim, and all would suffice themselves through what Allah has prescribed.
Verily people are only impoverished, needy, hungry and naked as a result of the sins of the wealthy."
● "Those who refuse to pay the alms-tax ask to be returned to the world at the time of death, as per Allah's verse in the Qur'an: "When death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord! Take me back, that I may act righteously in what I have left behind."
● "There are three types of people that are considered thieves: the one who refuses to pay the alms-tax, the one who spends his wife's dowry unlawfully, and the one who takes a loan with no intention to repay it."
● "He who refuses to pay [as meagre an amount as] a sixteen of a dirham in alms-tax may as well die a Jew or a Christian."
● "Good moral conduct is the zakat of bounties, intercession is the zakat of high status, ailments are the zakat of the body, amnesty is the zakat of victory, and all that you give out zakat on is protected from being snatched away from you."
● "Giving the alms-tax at the end of the month of Ramadan constitutes fasting just as sending blessings on the Prophet (saw) at the end of the prayer completes and constitutes the prayer. Verily the one who fasts and yet intentionally does not pay the alms-tax due, his fasting is invalid."

✦⋆· said, "Verily Allah has fixed the alms-tax as a provision for the poor and a proliferation of your wealth."
✦⋆· said, "When the alms-tax is not paid, livestock die as a result."
Know that whatever of a thing you acquire, a fifth of it is for Allah, for the Messenger, for the near relative, and the orphans and the needy and they way farer ..... (Quran 8:41)
1. Allah (swt).
2. His Messenger (saw).
3. The near relative of the Messenger (AhlulBayt (as).
4. Orphan.
5. needy.
6. the person who has fallen away from his home-town (and has no money to comeback to his own place.)
The portion of Allah (swt) goes to His Messenger (saw) to be spent for the path of Allah (swt).
After the Prophet (saw) passed away, and at the time of the first 11 Imams, the first 3 portions used to go to the Imam of AhlulBayt (as) to be spent in the path of Allah (swt).
Now that we have no access to Imam Mahdi (a.j), a religious scholar will receive the first three portions (which will be half of total Khums) who will spend it on behalf of Allah, His Messenger, and his AhlulBayt (as) in the path of Allah (like spending it on the theological schools or any other things that they feel necessary in religious matters).
Also, if the scholar does not have any source of income and all his effort is for the religion, he can only spend a portion of what he receives as Khums for his ordinary expenses which could provide him an average or below average lifestyle.
The scholar does not have to be the descendants of the Prophet (saw) to be entitled to receive Khums.
As for the last three portions, it doesn't go to a scholar.
It can be directly spent on the needy people who should be, of course, the descendants of the Prophet (saw).
that it is forbidden to give Zakat (another religious tax which both Shia and Sunnis pay) and charity to the descendants of the Prophet (saw).
Thus Zakat revenues and charities go to those needy who are not the descendants of the Prophet (saw), while half of the Khums goes to those needy people who are the descendants of the Prophet (saw).
One should also note that during the history of Islam till now, the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) were being prosecuted
every where and were deprived of their rights.
Also a minority among Muslims continue to pay Khums (i.e., only Shia follow this Sunnah of the Prophet). In other words, only 20% of all Muslims pay Khums which heavily decreases the amount of what the needy descendants of Prophet get from Khums (=20%"1/2"1/5=2%) when it is compared with the amount that needy people who are not the descendants of the Prophet (saw) get through Zakat from all Muslims (2.5%) plus all the charities which could be much more than 2.5%.
regarding people who unrightfuly spend Khums said,
"Whoever unrightfuly take over our property and consumes it, without a doubt has consumed fire and will enter Hell fire soon."
He also said, "When it is not right for anyone to unrightfuly take over someone else's property, then why is it okay for them to take ours?"
In another narration he said, "May the curse of Allah (swt) and all Angels be upon the one who unrightfuly considers our property halal and uses it."

Anyone on the Isle will say Lady Mira caused the Twenty Years' War. While they're at it, they'll call her a witch, a whore, or a heathen, maybe all three in the same breath. Soten is Mira's version of the story. Captive in a Northern village, Mira expects brutality from the rough climate and harsh Northerners. Instead, she discovers a land where people speak their thoughts out loud, where women are free to be with any they desire, and those who divine messages from the gods are listened to, not burnt at the stake. Mira's idyllic new life is threatened when she hears of her brother's growing army to the south; she doesn't need rescuing; she's far too attached to the life she's building (and the lighthearted raider who is quickly becoming a central part of it). Then she meets Arik, the enigmatic Norsern king, a man who has drastic plans for next season's raids, plans that involve the sister of a great southern commander. To Mira, this is a story about love. To the rest of the world, it is a story about war. Book II: KAKEN coming soon!
