Oh man it's been a while since I've submitted one of these! You guys may know me as Bree, if you remember me at all from my two milestones in the first book of these, but this is a very good milestone this time.

I've recently come to terms with my gender, and have changed my name and pronouns. I now go by the name Adrien along with they/them pronouns. So the other night, I decided to post about it on my snapchat, asking everyone to use my new name. I was terrified honestly. I had to run to my room and almost cried, and I was just about to delete the post when I got a reply to it. I hesitated, but opened it anyways, expecting a bad reaction, but it was a simple, "Okay!".

Then the replies started rolling in. "For sure!" "Just changed your contact name!" "I'm so glad you know yourself better now!" "Ha, sorry about the screenshot but I won't remember how to spell it otherwise!"

I was crying of happiness and relief. I haven't had a single bad reaction. Next week I will be talking to my teachers about it, along with announcing to my friends who I don't have on snapchat.

The only problem, yet again, is my parents. I have heard them say that a trans person doesn't count if they haven't had the full surgery, and that makes me wonder what they will think about my gender, or even my sexuality. But I guess that can wait. If anyone disagrees with my life, they can deal with it, or just not talk to me anymore.
