Recap: Xander's pov

"Sia, Sia you are going to be late on your first day" I heard my mother shouting

"What first day" I mumbled and slept again

Just then someone snatches the blanket from me and increases the fan speed

I groaned and whined

" Sia Katie Evans, If you don't come out of your bed in 5 sec, then I'm gonna destroy your favourite blanket" my mother threatened me at the top of her voice

Hearing this, I didn't took a sec to come out from my cozy and warm bed

" I'm up, I'm up" I told my mom

"Sia, you are not a child anymore, today is your first day at office, and you are going to be late" my mother said

I was still rubbing my eyes and mumbled " what office?? "

After few sec I remembered

" No no no, Today's my First day"

I started running here and there not knowing from where should I start

"Mum, why didn't you wake me before"

I accused her

She said " yes, as if you were listening, anyway just go and get dressed"

I ran to the washroom with my clothes

I don't have anything formal to wear,

Xander will surely scold me

I should have listened to my mother but I wanted to save some money so I didn't buy

"God Sia, You are so stupid" I cursed myself

Sighing and cursing I changed my clothes in jeans and sweater

Its October but I am feeling cold today,

Well not today, I always feel cold

Sia's Outfit

Its already 7:50, I have to reach there before 9, and I don't even know how to go Black Headquarters, Damn you Sia!

I should have searched about this yesterday only but my laziness didn't allowed me, now I can't even tell my family that I have no idea where I have to go

I went downstairs hurriedly, and after their bye, good-lucks and ofcourse have breakfast, I left

Opening my phone's map, I searched where exactly I have to go, I was shocked to see that the office is actually outside the city and its almost 120 km

My palms and feets started sweating, one of my many weird habits

I have never traveled this far, I tried to calm myself but it didn't help me at all

I searched Cab but the rent was like 300$, checking my wallet I only have 106$

So, I decided to take public bus, knowing it will take 2-3hours, but I didn't have any other option

Its was 8:30, when the bus started

Finally!

After lots of stop, Finally my stop came, they yelled Black Headquarters

Coming down, what I see was breathtaking, there were so many buildings and all of them were classier than before

I got confused which one is actually Black Industries, asking a guard I get to know that all of these are Black Industries

Black's Headquarter, Houston

The office was just amazing, there is no rush and only greenery

I went inside and felt so out of the class, these people are very classy and formal

The way they are smiling, talking , walking everything

Lobby or reception area

With slow strides I went to the receptionist area, a lady in late 20's said " yes, How may I help you?"

"I..umm...I am Sia Ev" I didn't completed my sentence before she interrupted me

"Oh Miss Evans, First day and this late, way to go Girl"

" Mr. Black is waiting for you from last 2 hours, now go fast" she said to me politely

She told me the way to Xander's cabin, its on the 66th floor which is also the top floor

On the scale of 10, I'm now 1000 times afraid and nervous of Xander

With sweating hands and anxious mind I went to the lift, where everyone was staring me like I'm some alien

After 15-20 more minutes I reached infront of his Cabin where it was written XANDER BLACK in block letters

I knocked

"Come in Miss Evans" he said, sensing his voice I knew that he is angry

I saw him sitting on his chair, I only looked down trying to form a sentence but failed

" You are late by almost 3 hours, didn't I told you that I hate late comers" he shouted more like roared

I flinched back at his tone

" That's why nobody hired you till now" he said sarcastically making joke of me

"I..umm..Soo..sorry S..sir" I said and didn't know how a drop of tear fall on the floor, I touched my cheeks to see I'm crying

'Why are you so weak Sia' I thought

I don't know what happen to Xander he suddenly stands and mumbled something like "motive...plans...shit" which I wasn't able to hear completely

He came towards me & Grabbing my arms he said " shhh its fine, Don't Cry"

I have no courage left while he started talking to me sweetly

"Come here" saying this he took me to the Couch in his Cabin and made me sit

" I shouldn't have reacted like that" he said softly

This time I looked at him and he started wiping tears from my cheeks

" Shhh...calm down Sia" I don't know how but I stopped crying and look at him without blinking

" Ok what happen, tell me now" he asked

I told him everything, he sighed and said "oh" after that he didn't spoke anything

I started standing but he pulled me and asked " what, where??"

" Y..you will fire me so i.. I'm leaving". I said

" Who said I'm firing you" he asked chuckling

"I was late so.." I said

" no, no not so soon, I won't fire you" he said

I smiled

" Ok let me tell yo.." he said only this just then his eyes landed on my clothes

I looked down and said " Sorry, I didn't ha..have formal" I was embarassed

"Hey, its fine , I also don't wear formals much, today I had to sign some deal, so I didn't had any other option, you can wear what you want, ok?" he said smiling and touching my cheeks

I then realised how handsome he is

Xander's outfit

"You can check me out later, first lets tell you about your work" he smirks and winked

I became red, and started looking here and there thats when I noticed his cabin, and it was just wow!

Xander's Cabin

He told me about my work, which is to see all the design reports and make corrections before giving it to him

I was confused that is this also a work but then I put the thought away and promised myself that I will work very hard

Apparently on the top floor only Xander and his P.A is allowed, now me also

His P.A, a very kind lady shows me my small cabin which I loved

I started doing work which was actually no work, just then Xander came saying "time for lunch"

I looked at the clock, its 1:30 pm.

"Come to my cabin" he said

" But Sir, I will eat lunch from the Cafeteria" I said

He stared at me for a minute making me nervous, then spoke

"You don't need to say Sir to me, and no, you're going to have lunch with me"

Saying this he left

While I just looked at him dumbly

I was standing at my place, thinking what happened, just then the office phone rings, I picked up

Before I spoke anything the voice came from other side

" How much time you need to walk, Miss Evans?"

"Ye.. yes, I'm coming " I said hurriedly and went to his cabin

Before even knocking the door,

"Come in" he said

I went and saw he has arranged the whole table

"Come fast, I'm way too hungry" he chuckled

Nervously I went and said

" All...all the other employees are eating in Cafeteria"

"So?" he asked looking up from the table

"Wh..why you asked me to have lunch with y...you?" I asked looking down

He made me look up by holding my chin and said huskily in my ears

" because I don't like them, I like you"

And then he came closer and kissed me just below my ears

Shivers ran down in my spine, I forgot to breathe

" before you start panicking, lets have Lunch, don't stress your little mind, ok" he said

I was flushed with what just happened

we had our lunch with very small talks here and there

Xander was asking so many questions about me and my family

But I never got a chance to ask him anything rather he didn't gave me chance

After lunch, I went to my cabin and this time I got some work

"Office's Over, Miss Evans" Xander said coming out of nowhere

I looked up and saw he's all ready to leave

I also packed my bag and started walking " Bye" I said to him

"What Bye, You're coming with me" he said casually

"B..but I can go" I tried to contradict him

" Look at the time, your house is way too far from here, you're coming with me" he ordered and started walking

"B... but " he looked at me with a challenging look which says try saying no to me

His one look and I started following him, like a cow.
