During another dreaded Monday morning, Sebastian was in his office, in a rather foul mood.
He wanted to pull his hair out in frustration at the fact the Mia was unfazed by everything he did.
Sure, some of what he did was childish, such as telling her make his coffee repeatedly, even though the first cup she made was good. Or giving her last minute odd jobs, with little time in which to complete them.
However, Sebastian had no real experience in doing this kind of stuff. Most of these ideas were coming from Blake, hence the childishness, but he didn't have many ideas himself.
Except, today he did.
Mia knocked on Sebastian's door, after he had called her into his office through the intercom.
Every time that she had to enter his office, she had to mentally prepare herself. Having to constantly one-up your boss was exhausting, but she never knew what trick he may have up his sleeve and constantly had to be on guard with him.
She tried her best to keep herself together and keep her emotions in check, not letting him, his actions or his words get to her, no matter how hard he seemed to be trying to make her life miserable.
"Come in," Sebastian's gruff voice finally called out and Mia entered his office.
Unfortunately, after some weeks of beautiful sunshine, the weather was back to one of its' darker moods. The grey clouds loomed over and due to large glass wall in the Sebastian's office, it made seem like a darker place than it already was
Her eyes finally went to Sebastian, who was just seemed to be sitting at his desk and typing away on the keyboard in front of him.
Sebastian didn't look up to greet Mia, instead he kept his eyes on the monitor but carried on to think about what he had planned for her today.
Though she had no clue on what that was, he was sure that she would undoubtedly hate it and he loved that.
Mia closed the door behind her and walked further into the office, holding her tablet in one hand.
"Is there something you needed?" Mia asked and when Sebastian finally looked up to her, seemingly waiting for her to carry on, Mia realise what he wanted from her.
"Is there something you needed, Sir?" She 'corrected' herself.
Mia saw the faint trace of a smirk beginning to develop on his face as she repeated her words, now adding on the little Sir at the end.
Oh, how she wished she could just smack that smirk right off of his face.
"Well, I didn't call you here to waste time," he then snapped at her.
'Because making me repeat my question and add on that little word of superiority to satisfy your big ego, wasn't a waste of time?' Mia thought, but bit her tongue to avoid giving him the snappy response.
Sebastian could practically feel the burning anger of hers, seep through those brown eyes and it amused him.
If he were ever forced to give Mia any kind of praise, under some incredibly pressured circumstance or possibly alternative universe, then he could certainly commend Mia's patience. Over these last weeks, somehow, she never snapped. Snarky response he received, but never a full-blown rant.
He held her gaze for a moment longer, before turning back to his monitor.

"What's my schedule like for today?" He asked her, carrying on to type away.
Mia pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose and checked on her tablet.
"You have two conference calls today but apart from that, it's all clear," she then told him.
"Good," Sebastian nodded and then turned head to face her once again. "I don't need you to accompany me to those meetings."
"What about the minutes of the meeting?" She asked.
"I'll have it recorded and you can draw up the official papers later."
'This was odd,' she thought.
"As a matter of fact, I don't think I need you at all today," he said and Mia held back on a response.
She knew he was doing this to get a reaction out of her as always, but she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction.
"That's fine by me," Mia smiled back at him.
If he didn't need her, then that was great for her. She could happily be in her office and wouldn't have to see his face.
Sebastian saw that mocking smile of hers but knew at the end, he would have the last laugh.
"Although, I do have some work for you. Easy work," he told her.
Immediately, Mia knew that something was up.
Never in a million years, was he deliberately going to make her life easy. This had to be a trap, she was so sure of it.
"Easy work?" She asked him cautiously.
Sebastian almost wanted to laugh at the expression on her right now. He knew that she doubted him. 'She was a little smart at least.'
"I'm not cruel, Miss Sareen," he replied.
Mia suppressed a scoff.
"Of course not, sir," she said politely but the sarcasm in her voice was clear enough. "What kind of easy work did you have in mind?"
She wasn't suspicious of his plan. Mia already knew that it would be something difficult and trouble for her. It was just curiosity now, at how bad things were going to be.
Sebastian leaned back in chair, locking his fingers together. "It's just some admin work," he replied.
His words were almost too easygoing for Mia's liking, it only reaffirmed her thought that something was definitely up.
"You see, my father is an old school man. He had become used to tech and doing thing electronically now, but he still likes things in a hard copy," he told her.
"Okay?" Mia responded, confused at where this was going.
"There are some papers and I need you to digitalise them. You will have to scan and type those up, and then file the original papers. How you choose to file them, I'll leave up to you, but I want a key as to how you have done it" he instructed her.
Mia frowned, eyeing him suspiciously.
When Sebastian had said 'easy work', she really didn't think that he meant it. This task didn't actually sound so bad, which was what left her so confused. 'What was the catch?' she thought, since there always had to be one with Sebastian.
"That sounds...fine," Mia replied.
Sebastian held back on a smile of his own, not letting his amusement show through.
"Where are these papers?" She then asked.

"Come, I'll show you," he said.
He then stood up from his seat and buttoned his suit, beginning to walk around his desk, whilst a bewildered Mia just stood there.
When he reached the door to his office, Sebastian held it open and gestured for Mia to walk through first.
Again, Mia eyed him wearingly. He was being too nice, which to her, meant he had something big planned. She knew that it was trouble, when she saw the corner of his lips twitch. He was holding back a smile.
As they walked, Mia kept wondering where he was taking her. She expected him to just take a file out of his desk or tell her where the papers were, instead he was taking her to a whole room altogether. Something wasn't right.
Eventually, Sebastian led Mia to one of the rooms on the floor. He knew all too well what was going to be through those doors, but for Mia it was about to be an absolute shock.
Mia inclined her head to look up at Sebastian, who had just stopped in front of a door.
"The papers are just through these door," he told her.
Her brows furrowed together as she looked at Sebastian. There was barely an expression on his face now, not giving away anything.
Finally, Sebastian opened the door and Mia's eyes widened instantly.
"All of this!?" She exclaimed.
Inside the room, were boxes upon boxes, piled up high and containing papers of all sorts. A couple of filing cabinets were also in the room, but most likely those weren't filed properly. The room itself was damp and dusty vibe, and definitely hadn't been occupied by anyone. how could they, with all space being taken up by stacks of papers.
'When was this room last opened?' Mia thought as he eyes took everything.
Sebastian held back on his laughter looking at Mia. Her face was contorted into an expression that contained both shock and horror, along with disgust.
He nearly lost it when she took off her glasses, wiped the the lens with her sleeve and then placed it back on. It was as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing and had to double check.
"Excuse the mess. We use this room as a kind of storage space, hence the messiness," Sebastian explained.
"You want me to file all of these?" Mia asked, carefully treading inside the room which looked like a tornado had just ploughed through it.
"...and type them up," Sebastian added.
He watched her movement, as she paced carefully, trying to avoid stepping on the loose papers on the ground.
Mia then turned around to face Sebastian once again and saw the mirthful smile on his face.
'He's such a prick,' she thought. She could tell that he was thoroughly enjoying this very much.
"How long do I have to sort through all of this?" She asked him.
"I'm a fair man-" Sebastian replied and Mia bit back on snarky response on that. The room she currently stood in, was evident of his 'fairness'. "-You have a week," he then continued.
"A week for all of this!? That's not enough time," she shouted, not caring if she was overheard by the other staff.
He had to have been hit on the head at some point in his life, to think that a week was enough time to get through all of this.
"It has to be a week," Sebastian told her and she look at him exasperatedly. "This room is going to be converted into something else, so we need everything in order by then," he informed her.
Mia looked around the room once more, knowing the deadline he was giving her was too short.
"I'll need more time," she stated.
"But you have none," he retorted.
The way that she looked around the room with dread and pure disdain, caused a cold smirk to appear on Sebastian's face.
"You can always quit if this is too much for you," he offered.
'Oh you absolute, loathsome, incorrigible, bastard,' Mia cursed him in her mind, whilst glaring at him. She couldn't exactly say those words, since it would give him reason to fire her, but hoped the anger in her eyes said it all.
This was all his game, his so-called 'easy work' that he'd mentioned. She knew it was all a trap and was stupid enough to think, he actually meant it. Of course he wouldn't, that arrogant git.
Mia reminded herself that she couldn't let Sebastian win and she couldn't back down either. Not now. No matter how impossible the task seemed.
"I'll do it," she replied.
Sebastian wasn't surprised, in fact he wanted her to accept it and he knew she would.
'The best part will come at the end of the week,' he thought, if she managed to stick around for that long.
"Good," he then nodded.
Just as he was about to turn and walk away from the room, Mia's voice calling out for him, stopped him in his steps.
"Wait," she said and he looked back in her direction.
"What?" He asked.
"What about assisting you? I can't assist you and at the same time, complete all of this within a week," she asked.
Sebastian shrugged lazily, lifting one shoulder. "You'll just have to work on your time management skill then, won't you?"
This was the icing on the cake, having her work both jobs, and the cherry on top would come later in the week
.
"But-" Mia was about to protest, until Sebastian cuts her off.
"Miss Sareen, my Dad hired you to assist me and you will continue to do that. This work is also essential to the business, hence you'll need to do that too. I don't care how you do both, but I expect it done to a high standard."
Mia sighed. "But I can't exactly-"
"Yes, you can and you will. If you want to keep this job and be paid at the end of the month, then I suggest you figure out a way."
Mia looked down at the papers on the floor and wondered how was she meant to get through all of this.
Sebastian finally smiled, looking at her standing there with an almost lost expression on her face.
"I told you I was going to make you regret coming here, Mia," Sebastian said and then walked away, leaving Mia to the dusty old room.
