Brendon taps his foot, as he waits for Sarah to pick up.
Dallon was sitting next to him, on the couch, just working.
Brendon had decided to call Sarah after they went and got Brendon some clothes from his apartment.
"Hey, Bren!" Sarah says as she picks up.
"Hey, Sarah. How are you?" "I'm good. How about you?" "Uhh, I'm absolutely great. We just haven't talked in like, two days." "No, I wanted to give you and Dallon some space." "Sorry?"
Sarah laughs and Dallon glances at Brendon.
"Yeah, Nicole told me." "Seriously?" "Yes, I am. And I'm so happy for you." "Thank you so much." "Of course! You're my best friend, I want you to be happy!" "Ugh, I love you so much."
Sarah giggles softly.
"Don't say it too loud, Dallon might get jealous." "Oh, he's sitting right next to me, right now, actually. I could ask him if he's jealous, right now."
Dallon stops typing and just looks at Brendon with a slightly amused look.
Brendon looks back, smiling at his boyfriend.
"I don't think he is. Oh! I don't think you know this yet because Dallon and I haven't told anyone yet, but we're officially dating. He's my boyfriend now!" "Oh my god, congrats, Bren!" "Thank you!" "You know, we should celebrate this! How about we go and get a bottle of wine, at our favorite bar?"
Brendon stays silent for a few seconds. He really wanted to go out for drinks with Sarah tonight, but he was going on a date with Dallon, tonight.
"I have a date with Dallon, tonight..." "Oh, okay. We could go tomorrow? And Dallon should come along! He's got something to celebrate too." "Yeah, I'll ask him, okay?" "Sure!" "I'll talk text you then, okay?" "Yeah. I'll see ya!"

Brendon ends the call and puts his phone away before he pokes Dallon's cheek and makes his boyfriend look at him.
"Daaaall." "Yeah?" "Sarah wants to go out for drinks with us tomorrow. We have this tradition where we go and get a bottle of wine when we've got something to celebrate. And she specifically told me you should come along too."
Dallon smiles and chuckles a little.
"I'll come along." "Yes, thank you!" "Of course." "I can't wait for our date tonight." "Me neither. I'm sorry I'm not paying that much attention to you, right now... I just really need to get this work done."
Brendon just kisses Dallon's cheek and smiles at him.
"Don't feel bad, Dall. You need to work, I get that. I'll get us lunch, okay? I want to go for a walk and I know this really nice coffee place that sells the most amazing sandwiches." "If you wanna go for a walk, I would love to try one of those sandwiches." "Yeah, I'll get us some."
Brendon gets up and puts his shoes on before he walks into the hall and gets his jacket.
"Anything in particular that you would like, or that you don't want?" "Uhh, just no olives, I don't like olives." "Alright. No olives for you. got it. I'll be back soon, babe."
Brendon ruffles Dallon's hair and kisses his temple before he grabs his phone and wallet.
"Bye," Dallon says, the tone in his voice slightly absent. Brendon just chuckles, as he walks out the door.
When he gets outside, after taking the elevator, he just takes a deep breath and starts walking down the street, looking around.
He just puts some music on his earphones and just starts walking towards the coffee shop.

He just hums along to his music softly and before he knows it, he gets to the shop.
He walks in and sees that there's a short line. He just waits for his turn and looks at his phone.
"Next customer, please!"
Brendon walks to the counter and smiles at the woman behind it.
"Hi, what can I do for you?"
Brendon orders two sandwiches and two large coffees and he waits for his order to be done before he walks back to Dallon's place.
The only thing he hadn't thought about taking a key with him, which meant that he couldn't get back into the apartment.
He calls Dallon, who takes a while to pick up.
"Hey, babe," he says and Brendon can hear him typing.
"Hi, would you be so kind as to let me in again?" "What?" "I don't have a key, so I can't get into the building again..." "Oh, yeah."
Brendon can hear Dallon get up and walk to the door, pushing the buzzer and letting him in.
"I'll get my housekeeper to make you your own key." "Thank you."
Brendon walks in and pushes the button for the elevator.
"I'm just gonna end the call because I'm just waiting for the elevator now." "Alright, honey."
Brendon ends the call and gets into the elevator and when he gets to Dallon's floor, the front door is already opened a little.
He walks in and closes the door behind him, walking into the living room, where Dallon was still working, now on a spreadsheet.
"I'm back." "Hey, love."
Dallon puts his laptop away and gets up, kissing Brendon slowly.
"I also brought some coffee, you look like you need it." "I'm just a little tired and stressed. I want to take care of this as soon as possible because then I can maybe try and teach you some piano?" "I'd love that. But don't work too hard, okay? I want you to be okay. Take a small break now because we're gonna have lunch." "Alright."
Dallon chuckles a little and Brendon just smiles at him.
"You're cute," Dallon mumbles and Brendon blushes a little.
"Well, I could say the same about you." "Oh, really?"
Brendon nods and smiles proudly.
"Yes. You are the cutest."

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
