The kitchen was spacious, modern and white, with marble floors and a marble breakfast bar with two white seats placed by the bar. It looked very well put together and incredibly expensive, but I couldn't help but compare it to my kitchen back at my old home with Ms.Reid.
My old kitchen may not have had the high ceilings, silver hanging lights and looked like something out of a catalogue, but it had the homely and lived in feeling about it. It looked like somewhere you could relax, bake and have fun in, instead of being scared of sitting on something and ruining it.
I wondered if Kavos ever sat in here to eat his meals, although imaging him doing something as domestic as eating and cooking seemed very weird to me.
"Feel free to use the fridge, it's just been stocked" He advised, taking a seat, watching me intensely as if I was going to suddenly disappear.
"Thank you" I smiled, giving him a grateful look before opening the fridge.
I pulled out some eggs, turkey slices and fruit before I got busy making breakfast while he told me where everything was. He didn't let me pour the oil into pan due to his concern of me burning myself, but apart from that he didn't say much.
I handed him his breakfast shyly, waiting for him to taste it and tell me what he thought. I desperately wanted to please him and the thought of him enjoying something I did for him made me feel giddy with excitement.
"Delicious. You're quite the cook aren't you, my little lamb?" Kavos purred, taking a bite of the omelette and turkey slice.
My eyes widened at the pet name and I felt myself get flustered, I suddenly felt very hot and uncomfortable as a warm feeling pooled at the pit of my stomach.
"I-I, uh, t-t-thanks" I stuttered out pathetically.
"No problem. Now, eat before your food gets cold while I explain the rules".
Once I was settled eating my breakfast , he began with his rules.
"You are never to be alone with another male unless it's me, Aztec or Chaos unless I give you direct permission myself. You are not to speak or look directly at another male, apart from those two and myself , without my permission and you are free to move around this house but never go outside without my permission. You are never to put yourself purposely in danger, no mater if you think you're helping because I will be furious at you and I'm sure you don't want that. Lastly, I don't want you wearing anything revealing at all which includes things like bikinis if you are planning on going swimming outside" Kavos explained, looking at me with a hard expression on his face.

"Okay" I nodded, looking at him from between my lashes.
"I-"
" 'Sup, losers?" Boomed Aztec, strolling into the kitchen with a big grin.
His honey blond hair was slicked in its ponytail, his green eyes twinkled and he wore a tight fitted velvet black suit with a large black cloak that was splattered in a red substance.
"What do you want ?" Demanded Kavos, giving him a dirty look.
"Just got back from a job with the demon royal family, had to take out a few witches that were causing trouble in their realm and you know how tricky those bitches can be. I smell food, what's on the menu ?" Replied Aztec with a shrug as he sat on the counter.
A black menacing flame appeared in my mates hand as he glared at Aztec, before saying " I'll burn your ugly face off if you don't get your ass from my counter, those costs more than your worth".
My jaw dropped and my head swivelled to Aztec to see what his reaction would be, my heart thumped in case it turned serious. Especially since Kavos looked like he meant every word he said.
"Stick and stones may break my bones bu-"
Aztecs song was cut off as a ball of black fire came hurling towards him, but he managed to duck in time and the fire burned a huge hole in the cupboard behind him .
"You're lucky. Watch Blue, I have work to do" Instructed Kavos, walking out the room as if he hasn't almost killed his best friend.
"Are you okay?" I asked, worriedly glancing at Aztec as he pouted.
"Yep, it's nothing that hasn't happened before. Your boyfriends an asshole, get used to it. Hey, can you make me some food?".
"Okay" I agreed.
While I busied myself making Aztec some breakfast, he told me about his trip to the Demon realm and how a normal witch had almost killed him until he managed to snap her wand and stab her in her 'third eye' with his sword.
"...And that's the problem with witches, even the normal ones, they aren't very strong or fast but they are ridiculously powerful. You wound them but they manage to heal them-self in seconds with the power of nature, but because I'm super awesome, they still can't beat me" Aztec finished as I gave him his breakfast.
"Aren't you worried that you could get killed? Witches are known to be crafty, she could have placed a curse on you without you knowing" I frowned, sitting down opposite him .
"Nope, I'm omnipotent. So, what do you want to do today ?" He asked, shovelling the food in his mouth.
The question threw me off because for the first time in my life, I didn't know because I had never been asked that question before.

I had a schedule that was set out for me since I was born; wake up, eat breakfast, have a shower, lessons with Margret, help Ms.Reid cook dinner, evening lessons with Margret, read one of my books and then bed.
I was used to following the pattern since I could remember and now I had so much free time in my life, it felt weird because I expected to be told what to do.
"I'm not sure" I replied, with a honest shrug.
Aztec got up, walked towards the cupboard , took out a bottle labelled 'Tequila' and a glass before sitting down and pouring himself some of the substance.
"Let's play a game, you ask me questions and for every question I have to take a shot" He suggested, taking a shot already.
"O-okay, but what's the aim of the game? Do I drink some too? What even is that?"
After taking three shots he said " Good. You're getting the hang of it, next question" .
12 questions later ,the bottle of Tequila was finished as Aztec decided that each question meant double shots and Aztec was waltzing around the room, dancing with me.
I giggled as he spun, dipped and twirled me around the room to the rhythm of his out of tune singing. He was singing very loudly, although his words were become slightly slurred, which I didn't understand but I was enjoying myself.
"Beawwwwtiful! Marwavleoussssss!" He slurred, clapping as I jumped and twirled around the kitchen .
Throwing my head back with laughter, I turned towards him but lost my balanced and slipped backwards which resulted in me whacking my head.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! Don't cry" Chanted Aztec, kneeling down next to me as my eyes began to fill up with tears.
My lip began to tremble violently, tears streamed down my eyes and my body began to shake but I managed to make my sobs as silent as possible as Aztec brought me into the living room.
He sat me down, checked my head before putting a plaster at the side of it and telling me not to worry. But how could I not when I had already disobeyed Kavos's rules?
I had put myself in danger and hurt myself, he was going to be furious with me and the thought made me cry even harder.
"What's wrong? Is your head still hurting, do you want me to call Kavos?"
"N-no! Please don't, he'll be mad at me. Promise me Aztec, promise you won't tell him" I begged.
"Oh god, I don't like all this secretive crap because he will kill me but fine. I'm surprised that you are up for lying because if he finds out that you lied, then he will be even more mad" .
Biting my lip, I sighed in defeat as I rubbed away the tears with my tissue because Aztec was right . If I didn't tell Kavos, he would be double mad at me and I deep down, I knew I wouldn't be able to lie to him anyway.
I had never lied before and the thought of doing it made me beyond nervous .
"You're right, you won't tell him that I thought about lying will you ?" I asked, guiltily.
"He won't have to because I already know" Rumbled Kavos, from the doorway.
Kavos was stood in his 7ft glory, with his arms crossed which made his muscles bulge menacingly as his purple eyes flashed with anger.
My heart thumped painfully and I felt a sea of self disgust wash over me at his expression, it hadn't even been a day and I had messed up.
"I didn't think that I needed to explain to you that lying or attempting to lie was against the rules, I thought you were intelligent enough to understand that lying is the ultimate sign of disrespect. You won't be punished as this was your first strike but any more of this behaviour, then you'll face the consequences. Aztec, get out " Kavos said, his voice clear with his irritation.
"Sorry kid" Mumbled Aztec before clicking his fingers and disappearing out the room.
Ashamed, I looked down as Kavos approached me as I expected him to continue to shout at me and when I felt his strong hands lift my chin up gently , I gasped in shock.
"How's your head?" He whispered, softly touching the plaster.
"I wasn't crying because of that, I didn't want you to be mad at me" I admitted shyly.
"I know you're very young and still learning but the thought of you feeling any sort of pain that isn't the good kind, makes me physically ache" He sighed, burying his nose in my neck .
"There's good pain?"
"You'd be surprised with how much pleasure pain can bring, I'll show you one day" He promised with a smirk .
Smiling, I couldn't help but throw my arms around his neck and hug him as feelings of gratefulness washed over me because I knew he had every right to be mad at me but he wasn't.
" I'd like that" I said innocently, although I didn't exactly know what he was talking about.
But I knew that no matter what he said, I would believe him without a question of doubt. I belonged to him and I knew he would never put me in any sort of danger, he would look after and care for me as long as I abided by the rules that were in place for my own good.
And that's exactly what I intended to do.
