Last night had been so different from anything I had ever imagined , so much better than anything I had ever imagined. I had no doubt that it would have been good , Kavos and I were made for each other so it only made sense for us to be able to connect on such a deep level physically . But last night ? It was on a whole different level .

Shaking my head and closing my eyes, I tried to let go of the flashback that came to me as my stomach flooded with butterflies. I felt so at peace and happy with myself and my relationship, yesterday had been everything I could have ever dreamed of. Frowning, I turned over and realised the bed was completely empty and Kavos was nowhere to be seen. Missing him and wanting find him , I slipped out of bed and pulled on one of his t-shirts and left the room when the smell of food assulted my nostrils.

I walked towards the staircase and noticed that the whole thing had been decorated and transformed with gloriously gorgeous flowers that were different shades of pinks entwined onto the banister , the steps covered in white exquisite petals with flickering honey smelling candles on the sides.

It was a beautiful sight .

And standing at the end of the staircase was Kavos , his brows furrowed in concentration but his eyes fiercely determined. I couldn't help but admire how gorgeous he looked donned in a tight white shirt and form fitting black trousers.

"Kavos? What's going on?" I asked curiously with a half grin as I made my way delicately down the stairs , careful not to mess up the decorations.

"When I first found out that I was destined to have a mate I was furious , I saw it as a pathetic attempt by the Gods to tame me and make me grateful to them. Not only that , I saw it as weakness so I sent you away until I really decided what I wanted to do with you . I would lurk in the shadow and watch you sometimes , letting out a rare smile or laugh as I saw your face flash up with happiness as you baked or learnt something new but I didn't know you yet . Even when I bought you here I was determined to keep my distance from you and not create a bond but it was impossible, you have such a pureness about you that I didn't want to soil.

You're everything I'm not ; loving , kind , beautiful and everything that is right in the world . "Kavos" I breathed out shakily , my eyes tearing up .

Taking a deep breath, he got on his knees and opened a black box that contained a silver ring with a purple stone that was the same colour as his eyes that's were currently boring into my own.

"Blue, will you do me the honouring of making me the happiest man in the world ?"

"Y-yes! Of course !" I choked out.

As soon as he stood up , I threw myself into his loving embrace , tears streaming down my face as I felt so full of love and hope . The decorations , the speech , the music ; it had all been so perfect and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Kavos.

"Oh and happy 18th birthday" He said with a grin , kissing me lightly on the lips .

My eyes widened at his words , 18th birthday ? It had been a whole year already? With everything going on with Aztec , the war and other little things , I had completely lost track of time and I hadn't even realised it was my birthday. But it made me feel warm inside to know that Kavos had remembered.

"I can't believe I didn't remember" I murmured softly as he slipped the ring onto my finger.

"I can't believe you would think I'd forget" He teased "Come on , I have a surprise for you".

The kitchen was filled with more flowers and a spread of my favourite fruits and foods from pancakes, toast, scrambled eggs , turkey slices , croissants , cinnamon rolls and apple juice. And standing in the middle of it was my favourite green eyed ponytailed soul collector- Aztec .

"Aztec!" I exclaimed , throwing myself at him and hugging him tightly.

He didn't look as worn out as he did last time I seen him but I noticed he had lost a light bit of weight and his green eyes were still void of their usual teasing sparkle .

"Happy birthday Blue! How are you?"

"Upset with your for disappearing" I frowned and whacked him on the arm as hard as possible "If you do that again I'll get Kavos to kill you myself , I was worried sick!"

"You should be thanking me , you two managed to build up so much sexual tension whilst I was gone that you finally did it. I've never seen Kavos so relaxed , he even almost smiled when he saw me! Pussy really is powerful" Aztec scoffed, waving me away .

"How did you know?" I squeaked out , feeling embarrassed at his crude words.

"I can basically smell his scent all over you and in yo-"

"That's enough!" Kavos barked, shooting Aztec a vicious glare .

"You should have sucked his dick, he's clearly still cranky" Aztec whispered to me.

"Behave!" I giggled, poking him in the ribs .

After breakfast Aztec handed me my present which turned out to be a picture of him signed ' To my number one fan , love Aztec x ' and accused me of being ungrateful when I pointed out that it wasn't a real gift and most definitely something I didn't want . However, he also got me an expensive camera and photo album book as I had mentioned a few weeks ago that I wanted to get into photography .

"Thank you Aztec, that was really thoughtful" I smiled , squeezing his hand .

"I know" He said , squeezing my hand back and making me roll my eyes .

"Now for my present"Kavos said , a grin on his face .

"But you've already proposed to me! I thought that was my gift"

"That was more of a selfish gift so I could have you as mine officially and in the eyes of the law but I've transferred about 12 million into your bank account as I want you to pick us out a home . There's about 10 different ones that I think you'd like , you can view them today and buy whatever you want and we can re decorate it from scratch . Aztec will go with you as I have meetings but if you need anymore money then please don't hesitate to ask" Kavos replied with a causal shrug .

12 million ????

Was in my account ? I didn't even know what to say .

"Oh sure , you have 12 million to give her but when I ask for a small pay rise it's all don't be ridiculous Aztec"

"Because you wanted a pay rise of 50,000 as well as benefits of an all incisive paid for holiday once a month ! You barely even do any work for me anymore , you're basically a glorified babysitter for Blue !" Kavos snapped.

"Hey!" Both Aztec and I exclaimed .

"I'm 18, I don't need a babysitter!" I said feeling annoyed .

"You was the one that demoted me so don't go moaning about I don't work as much"

"I demoted you because you created a fight club with people who owned me debts and made the winner not have to pay up !"

"Boyyyy, you make one fight club and all of a sudden your deemed unprofessional" Aztec said, his voice laced with disbelief as he threw his hands up in exasperation.

Kavos's purple eyes flashed dangerously and I quickly defused the situation before he lost his patience before going upstairs and getting ready to go house hunting . I was excited to finally have a place of our own , somewhere that I could do up from scratch and make perfect, it'd be an amazing project in the past time.

All the houses were unbelievably grand and unique in their own way but there was just something missing , I couldn't put my fingers on exactly what it was but nothing had jumped out at me. That was until we was on the 9th house in the fairy realm and I immediately knew this would be it.

It was almost as big as the current house Kavos and I lived in but instead of looking like a daunting castle that wasn't homely , it had a nice warm and cosy feeling to it that made me picture a family living here.

It came with five bedrooms , six bathrooms , a huge garden like forest that Thunder could roam around in and a huge kitchen and pantry where I knew I would spend a good potion of my time cooking and baking.

"This is it , this is the house" I breathed as we came out of the grand library.

"It's beautiful, I'm sure you guys will love it" Aztec nodded.

"You too, this is for all three of us Aztec"

"No Blue, this is a new chapter for only you and Kavos. This is a fresh start and a new beginning, I have to get myself together and become more independent so I'm gonna stay at you guys's old house when you move out until I find somewhere of my own that I like. I've met my mate and even if she" Aztec trailed off, his eyes scrunched up in pain before saying shakily " Even if she doesn't want me , I want to have somewhere we can call our own"

His words hit hard and I suddenly felt like time was going too quickly , I felt too grown up and I wanted to go back to the day that I had first met Aztec . Back to the days where we'd spend all day together laughing , joking and having fun . Back to the days when he wasn't hurting over someone who didn't want him but I knew deep down he was right , in order for Kavos and I's relationship to progress we would have to eventually live by ourselves .

"I understand. Do you think you could transport me to see Ms. Reid and Margret , I think it's time for me to share the good news" I replied back , giving him a small smile .

"The ring looks beautiful and the proposal sounds very romantic, you're practically glowing with happiness" Ms.Reid cooed, her eyes shining with pride.

"Indeed, you seem so grown up . We did an amazing job of raising you it seems" Margret added , her usual stern face transforming into a warm smile .

For the past half an hour I had been catching up with the both of them and it made me realise how much I had missed them , I hadn't seen Ms.Reid in about seven months and Margret since a year ago today . These women had made me who I was today , they had shaped my childhood and made the happiest girl alive . I had wanted for nothing and I was eternally grateful towards them.

They were like parental figures to me , the only parents I had ever had.

"We have some news of our own actually , we're adopting a little human girl, she's coming to live with us in a few weeks time" Ms. Reid announced .

"That's wonderful ! What made you decide to do that ?"

"We wanted a family of our own" Margret placed her hand on top of Ms.Reid's eyes and looked at her fondly "I think it's about time we lived our own life"

I looked between them for a second before my mouth dropped opened as my brain caught up .

"You two are together ?"

"Indeed, Ms.Reid is my mate Blue"

"How comes I never knew!" I exclaimed in shock.

"I like to keep my private life private and I thought it wouldn't be appropriate to involve you into my person life" Margret explained.

I suddenly had flashbacks to the times I would see Margret's hand linger on Ms.Reids back or hand for a little longer than necessary, the way Ms.Reid would get shy when Margret would compliment her or the time I had been sick on my 13th birthday at 2am and had went into Ms.Reids room and Margret has opened the door .

"I'm happy for you two , you'd make amazing mother's" I grinned, hugging them both.

"Thank you . Now, let's talk weddings!" Laughed Ms . Reid .
