I stumbled upon LGBTQ+ literature on Wattpad by chance. After reading one, I couldn't stop obsessing over how new and refreshing it felt to read from an LGBTQ+ character's point of view. I decided to write one of my own that was based around my environment at the time, namely my college chemistry class. Lab Partners started with a bad science pun and grew into so much more than I could ever imagine.

The amount of research I do before starting a book varies depending on what kind of book I am writing. For something like historical or science fiction, I do massive amounts of research before starting the first chapter, but with books like Lab Partners, a teen fiction set in a high school environment, I do little to no research before I begin writing.

I was introduced to Wattpad by one of my best friends in late 2015. She convinced me to start co-authoring a book with her, and from there, my writing fever only grew. When I got frustrated with waiting for her to write her parts, I went ahead and started writing on my own. I haven't stopped writing since.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to have coffee with any sort of famous person. I would be too much of a self-conscious, nervous wreck to actually enjoy myself. Instead, I think I would enjoy catching up with some old friends. Perhaps those from my childhood.

I have a wide variety of hobbies other than writing and I'm constantly picking up new ones because I like to challenge myself to try new things. Some of my hobbies that have stuck around are music (I play guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, and I sing), art (painting, sketching, and digital art), and close up card magic.

Right now, I am releasing weekly updates on a manxman pirate themed short story while I decide what I'm going to do for my next full length story. At some point, I hope to write a #OwnVoices story about an asexual, heteromantic girl struggling to navigate an awkward, honest relationship for the first time.

The best advice I've ever received is to never give up. Don't let writer's block stop you from doing what you love. Push through, stay inspired, do whatever it takes to write what matters most to you. My advice is to write what you're passionate about and write it often. If you're just as excited to find out what happens next as your readers are, then updating will be a breeze.
