《The Spark of Balance: The Realm of Mianite (Book 1)》Ch39- Against all predictions

Dianite POV-
After a long talk with Miante they came to a decision that neither of them were content with but it was the best one they had.
Soon after locking Ianite's cell, both of the gods teleported to the one place they didn't think they would ever go back to.
Once they made it to the island they found their father standing on the other side tall and proud, Jordan on the other hand was tied with chains, blood covering most of her face.
Seemed like his father was still not fond of traitors.
The shadows looked around as if waiting for Ianite to appear, after a few seconds his smile faded and rage filled his lungs.
"I must say I'm surprised. Where is Ianite?!" Said the shadows in rage
"I'm afraid he won't be joining us father, his life isn't worth the life of a mere human." Said Mianite
That seemed to flip a switch in the shadows, causing more
anger to rise.
"Are you willing to watch her die?! What about you Dianite! Do you really want her dead?!"
"There are probably five other people just as strong and smart as her, she's not as unique as you think father. Besides, I do enjoy having Ianite under my watch, having him under yours would not benefit me." He said
"What about Ianite? What does he think of this!"
"Surprisingly, I managed to get Ianite to make this decision as well, against Dianite's wishes. Ianite felt betrayed enough to let her suffer her fate, turning on all the gods and attempting to kill one required a lot of evil that Ianite didn't see fit to save. Besides, even if he wanted to help, Dinate has made him so weak he can't even stand, that wouldn't be fair." Said Mianite with a sadness in his eyes
"Seriously father, did you think she was worth all of this? I did want her to work on my side but she is not a rare object. Unless you saw her as such, in that case you are the one who has clouded judgement father."said Dianite
After looking around desperately in anger he took a good look at Jordan and dragged her forward to the middle of the island.

"Fine then take her back, she is also of no use to me now. Just know I will have Ianite one way or another, you should not get in the way of my plans boys, your mother did and look what happened to her." Said the shadows as he took off the chains from Jordan and threw her in the direction of the gods.
Miante made his way over to help her back on her feet when suddenly she spoke in a slow cold voice.
"She isn't worth the life of a god! She's not unique! What, all of the sudden the gods are worth more! And Ianite didn't even feel a bit of remorse watching his old champion die that he didn't even come. You guys are cowards!" Jordan said
"What?! Do you have powers? Abilities that are beyond compare that nobody has? Honestly, how could you think your life is equal to ours." Said Dianite before Miante could stop him, he would not have a human insult him.
"Then what? We are your pets or something? Is that why Ianite destroyed Ianera?" She said
"How do you....?" Said Mianite taking a few steps back in astonishment
"That's right, I know. This whole time I put you guys on pedestals because of all the stories I had heard back home. It was so simple back there, Miante was good, Dianite was evil, and Ianite was the middle. But now I know that all of you are the same, that all of this is wrong." She said taking a deep breath
"You guys see yourselves as beings that can do whatever you want. What would you have done if it was one of your champions in the line? Huh?! Would you have let them die?" She screamed.
Both he and Miante looked at each other perplexed and astonished. It's seemed as though spending time with father had changed her, more than they had thought. But she was just pretending right?
This was all to make it more believable and get off the hook. He knew Jordan, she would be smart enough not to go against the gods, or at least in theory.

She wiped the blood from her forehead and threw the remainder parts of the metal chains towards the ocean in anger.
Still unsure what to say, Dianite looked at his brother, waiting for his answer.
"These matters are beyond you mortal, I wish you could understand, then you would know why the gods are more valuable."said Miante
"They are my friends! You would sacrifice them for a god that killed his followers! No I won't let it come to that..."she said
If she was still pretending she was doing a really good job and being mad, that and she was asking too many questions. As he looked deep within her eyes once more he became less certain that she was lying.
"You will not lay a finger on humanity ever again. You guys are not criminals but you better stop pretending you're heroes! You guys really are false gods...." she said, shedding a small tear
"How could I not see this sooner?" She whispered
That cought Dianite off guard. The blood in her eyes, that anger...
She wasn't lying after all...it all became clear once he looked back at were his father was standing. He was just standing there with an evil grin in his eyes like a proud dad waiting for chaos.
Before he had time to answer she took out a bow from behind her cape and quickly shot an arrow at Miante and then him.
Both arrows landed on their chests and send them tumbling down to the ground, as Dianite fell he got a good look at the bow....oh no...it was THAT bow. The bow that could kill them had just struck both of them, in a manner of seconds they would die.
Jordan smiled at her work, she must have felt like she had saved humanity from the god's. There was also so much sadness in her too, she seemed crushed. He guessed that it was because of Mianite. She mentioned that she saw him as all good, it must have been as though an idol had crushed her heart.
"You..you betrayed us..." he said with a lot of effort.
"You guys betrayed me first" she said to Dianite's face.
She finally turned around to face their father.
"You have done great! I told you they were evil my child. Now hand over the bow, prove your loyalty to me." Said the shadows
She stood there for a few minutes in silence, not moving a muscle. For a second Dianite saw her grip the bow tight as if though she was getting ready to fire. She would fire.
Her anger was probably directed towards all gods now, father was probably just her next target. Then something changed, whatever the thought or memory she had changed her decision.
Jordan eased her hold on the bow and handed it to the shadows. With a flick of the wrist he managed to teleport it somewhere else, probably far from here.
The shadows went over to her and embraced her. If Dianite wasn't dying at the moment by the hands of a mortal, that would be the most unlikely even he had ever seen. After the embrace, Jordan made her way beside him, standing a step behind his father as he slowly made his way to his sons.
Dianite looked forward to check on his brother, he was stil down, barely moving. If only Dianite would have kept his mouth shut, then he wouldn't have changed her mind...but...she already had that bow behind her cape. She had been planing on killing them all along.
The shadows must have been a part of it, where else would she get that bow that killed his own mother but from the murderer that held it last. The man standing in front of him.
"Oh boys, I thought this would be harder to achieve. This is why she is so speacial, her skills and intellect ARE one of a kind. If only you could have seen it sooner. I would end you guys faster but we both know one god can't kill another directly, so suffering in the only way from now on. It will end in a few seconds I promise, don't forget to say hello to your mother for me."
Then the shadows stopped talking and turned around...
