《The Lost Boy's Girl》Marko

The boys and I had all gone to the cave where we usually slept. I waited until they were all asleep when I snuck out of the small cave and entered the main room. I couldn't stand to see her covered in blood and the memories of those idiots touching her.
The feeling I felt when I ripped into their throats was incredible. All I wanted to do was protect her but I didn't. We were to busy tormenting Michael because David had ordered us to. I hated him for distracting us from her. We promised that we were gonna be at the boardwalk last night and we weren't. We let her down. I let her down.
All I could focus on now was comforting her and trying to help her to forget what happened. I sat down on the double bed and leant towards her.
"Ashley" i whispered into her ear trying not to wake her to suddenly.
"Princess wake up" she twisted her body over to face me and whined in protest.
"Come on let's get you clean." She slowly sat up and leaned against my chest still half asleep. I moved her so she was sat against the headboard.
Her eyes were still sore from crying and her face was covered in blood. Luckily it wasn't her blood.
I grabbed a cloth and poured water from a bottle onto it. I leaned over her body and slowly started to clean her face. I could finally see her delicate skin again. Her eyes were no longer stained from mascara and her chin was no longer covered in blood.
"There we go. I can finally see ur pretty face again" I said whilst placing the cloth at my side. She lifted her hand to my hair and ran her fingers through it. She grabbed one my plaits and ran her fingers down it.
"Pretty" she muttered obviously in some sort of dream like trance.
I repositioned myself so that I was sat next to her.
"Do you want me to do yours?" I whispered. She nodded slowly and turned to face away from me. I glided the hairbrush through her hair detangling any knots that I came across. I plaited a small piece of her hair. She grabbed it and smiled.

She leant her body into mine and placed her soft lips in my cheek. Her kiss was so gentle and ignited a warm feeling inside of my dead heart.
She slowly drifted of to sleep in my arms. She looked so tranquil like all of her worries had melted away. My eyes slowly started to flutter closed.
"Look what we have here." Chuckled David waking me up from my slumber. My eyes fluttered open. All three boys stood there staring at me and the angel in my arms.
"Shhhh" I whispered. "You'll wake her" I explained.
"Oops." Paul said whilst walking over to the bed. I was still half asleep and Ash was completely passed out still. He sat down on the bed and stared at her.
"Should we wake her?" Asked Paul. I removed my arms from her waist and sat up. I let my eyes adjust to the light in the room.
"Michael and Sam will probably want to see her and we should explain her new situation to her." Stated David. We all knew that we had to keep Michael and Sam happy for Max and his stupid plan. We all understood that Lucy was Max's mate and that you only ever have one mate.
Paul nodded in response. He then placed his hand on her upper arm.
"Woah you guys weren't joking" he said.
"We told you we weren't high" I said whilst climbing of the bed. With every movement the bed creaked.
"Ashley" he whispered gently in her ear. She gave a quiet whimper and repositioned herself.
"Ashley it's time to wake up" he said a bit louder.
"No" she whispered back in a tired voice.
"Come on Ash." He said encouraging her to get up. She opened her eyes and Paul helped her to sit up. She rubbed her eyes and stretched. She looked around in confusion to where she was.
"Where am I?" She said softly.
"Your in a safe place." Replied David whilst stepping towards her.
"Last night?" She said obviously puzzled by her own behaviour.
"Don't worry about it babe." Replied Paul trying to reassure her. He placed a hand in her thigh trying to calm her thoughts.

"Where's Michael?" She questioned him.
"We will find him for you love." He said whilst he said whilst placing his hand on her cheek. She leant into it and smiled.
"Thank you." She said gently. She looked round at all of us as she said it.
I signalled to the boys to leave and let me talk to her alone. They all left one by one. Paul squeezed her thigh and then got up and left.
"Goodbye princess" said Marko whilst leaving the room.
Dwayne lent down and kissed her cheek before leaving. I sat next to her on her bed.
"I'm sorry." I said.
"What?" She said puzzled by my words.
"I'm sorry I let them do that to you." I said looking at the floor. I couldn't even look at her. I was mean to protect her. We were meant to protect her.
"It's okay. Hey, look at me." She said. I refused to meet her eyes.
"David. Look at me." She said with authority in her voice. I raised my head to face her.
"See I'm fine." She said whilst lifting her arms up.
"Marko fixed me up last night." She explained.
"But what they did to..." she placed her lips on mine to silence me.
"I'm okay." She stated as she pulled away from me. I smiled at her.
"Come on get dressed. Paul for you some clothes last night, I'm sure you don't want Michael to see you in these dirty clothes." I said trying to change the subject.
"David?" She questioned.
"Yes kitten?" I replied.
"Can I go with you guys to find Michael?" She asked.
"Of course you can love. Just stick close to us." I replied. She nodded at me. I got up and left her room. I closed her door just enough that I could still hear what was going on.
I got dressed into some black ripped skinny jeans that Paul had left out for me. He had also left an old band t-shirt that was way to big for me. I slipped it in and tucked into my jeans to hide all the extra material.
I walked to the other side of the room where an old fashioned full length mirror stood. I looked in the mirror at myself. I looked different. I looked refreshed.
I brushed through my hair quickly. I noticed the little plait in my hair that Marko had braided. I ran my fingers down the braid admiring Marko's work.
"You ready to go?" Asked a familiar voice. It was Marko. He looked at me whilst I had the plait in my hand. He smiled at me.
"You like my work then? You were so sleepy last night you didn't really get to look at it much." He explained.
"I love it!" I exclaimed whilst practically skipping over to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. His hands snaked around my waist pulling my body into his. I pulled away slightly but he wouldn't let me go. Suddenly he kissed me.
His lips were soft and gentle. I ran my fingers through his curly hair.
"What about David?" I said as I pulled away.
"We like to share princess." He explained.
He kissed me again but deeper. He picked me up and in response I wrapped my legs around his waist. All my body wanted was him. He guided my body towards the bed. He placed me down gently onto the bed, moving his lips from my lips to my neck. His hands started to untuck my shirt from my jeans.
"Ready to go lust bunnies?" Asked Paul. Marko simply through a pillow at him whilst continuing to kiss me. My cheeks flushed red at Paul's words.
"Come on Marko." I said. I pushed his chest slightly. He flopped down onto the bed in annoyance. I laughed at his display.
"We will just have to resume this later." I said with a smirk on my face.

The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield
***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain.*** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
