《Marooned With You》Afterword

This book is originally intended to experiment how would it be received if Harper (from my yanderefemale x femalereader book: ) was genderbent into a man.
Yes, in that book, Harper rapes and feed reader a lot too. Except the first part, Harper was sweet and really manipulative. Mayanka was all the way, terrible.
I had a hypothesis that Marooned With You will do much better than Ignorance Is Bliss, and it was proven to be correct.
In less than a month, I gathered a little below 4K votes for this book. Much more than Ignorance Is Bliss which only had less than 3K votes in a year.
I couldn't copy the exact same plotline as Ignorance Is Bliss, cause it just doesn't make sense with a man in it.
I thought up of this plot where reader gets stranded from a dream, where I actually got stranded with this really lonely guy. In my dream, he didn't do the stuff Mayanka did. But I saw it as a perfect chance to integrate Harper's insanity into him.
I was about to pull out my random name generator to get a unique name, but then I realized that isn't connected to any of my books yet, so I skimmed through CM and found Mayanka's name to be really pretty.
Meyanna's name was originally supposed to be Mayanna. But it looked too similar to Mayanka's.
I thought using 'Papa' and 'Mama' was a little too cliche, that's why I made Mayanka called them 'Ada' and 'Ama'.
Vuzinia is from Cloudlight Memories, I initially wanted to make my own language for it, but then I was too lazy.
I used Arabic because I kiiinda know the 'alphabets' and it has it's own characters instead of english letters. I also think that it's really nice to hear someone speak in Arabic, I like the smooth flow of it and the way they pronounce things.
I mixed in a bit (a majority) of Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Indonesia because those are the language I can speak and understand quite well other than English.
Moreover, I made Vuzinia a Matriarchal country to make a freudian excuse for Mayanka's terrible behavior.
As pointed out in the comments, yes, in real life, rape is not because of one's attraction to another. Rape happens because of their desire to control by humiliating someone, reducing them to their own bodies.
However, the norms in Vuzinia is a different than the norms in real life. It is considered 'attraction' if someone rapes another person in Vuzinia, so they won't rape those who they deem disgusting (masculine) as others may alienate the rapist for having 'low standards'. Therefore, they humiliate and control the 'uglies' by beating/starving/verbally abusing them.
They're not 'fat' per se. They just call those who are tall 'fat' in Vuzinia to destroy their self esteem.
Remember that there was this one part talking about how his group of friends shunned him out because Mayanka was raped by Meyanna? (Who becomes transgender after that, Male to Female) yeah, that was to show how distorted their mindset are, caused by the disturbing social norms of Vuzinia.

This story is far from realistic, but this is the world that I built and the predicted domino effect of my own cultural aspects I instilled.
In short, Vuzinia is my sandbox. It is not realistic nor idealistic, it's just my prediction of what would happen if certain ideas were to be widely accepted.
Technically, using Vuzinian logic, Meyanna was already sexually attracted to Mayanka. Making her super messed up.
This is my first story which was actually planned out with multiple drafts.
The very first draft had a WAY different plot, it ends with reader being 'forced' to become Mayanka's legal guardian because he plead insanity in court. I end up finding it pretty nonsensical so I scrapped it.
In another draft, Mayanka went to maximum security jail but was taken out by the government to secretly serve in the army/FBI/CIA— cause of his mutant like strength and intelligence. Giving Mayanka power to take reader away with him, it didn't give me much room to let reader develop Cloudlight Memories so i dropped it.
And in ANOTHER, Mayanka killed Tam, Hal and the rescue teams. Ending with reader being stuck with Mayanka forever because the entire world cordoned the island off. It can't possibly lead to Cloudlight Memories then.
But ultimately, the viable drafts all lead to Mayanka's consciousness transported to Cloudlight Memories.
The mutation thing came after I revealed his height to be eight feet tall and it was inspired by many comments telling him to eat his own dicks, I made it come true.
As for Mayanka's appearance design, I originally intend to follow Cloudlight Memories's Mayanka, but it didn't make any sense because CM's Mayanka had white hair and beautiful dark skin.
Mayanka should have a lot more melanin because he spent a majority of his life under the sun hence his hair should be black instead of white. Yellow eyes aren't possible in real life, so I used the 'MUTATION' excuse on it— he originally had baby blue ones like Meyanna.
The Mutation excuse applied to texture of his hair too, he used to have curly hair. But over time, it straightened to become like Vasilios's (from my book Blind Date), I did this because I wanted to copy CM Mayanka's design as closely as possible without making it too unrealistic.
Actually, what Mayanka wore were Sarongs/Sarungs. I described it as waist cloth to make it easier for those who do not know about it to imagine.
A lot of my readers like my other yanderes because they cook and give them food. So, with Marooned With You Mayanka, I thought: hey, why not add a little twist? Let's see if I can make my readers hate him for cooking and giving (y/n) delicious food.
It worked.
If you noticed, I would either describe Mayanka's home as a hut, shack or cabin. It's because I thought it can be used interchangably, I don't think it really is. But I'm too lazy to edit it out.

Remember the lube Mayanka found in the luggages? Yeaaaah, it's twenty one years old, he used a 21 year old lube on you. It's a wonder how you didn't get an infection.
I noticed that chapters, not only in this book, but other books that has disgusting scenes in it (like the scene where Mayanka vomited in your mouth?) has the most attention. I wanted to see if those types of scenes are what's making a yandere x reader book of mine successful.
Miss G's name was just an excuse for me to name a character Miss Girl.
Mo was originally supposed to be Mo Lester but I thought that joke was already too milked out. Plus, I think there are real people named Mo Lester out there.
Then, MDMA and Molly came to mind. So I stuck with that.
Tam was spontaneously added so I can connect another book to this. She came from , another completed book.
She was a minor, side character there who interracted with Blind Date's reader. She becomes one of the main heroes in Marooned With You.
Hal's, Miss G's, Mo's and Tam's appearances weren't specifically described. Only their ages were written because just like Lizard, Brandy and Tiana (from Blind Date), they all have variable appearances and may appear in other books as different people.
I'm planning to recycle Mo and Miss G somehow.
You know the scene where Tam had to use the wire of her bra to make a fire? That was inspired by my female relatives complaining about how those wires will one day pierce their heart.
Also, the scene where reader cuts the ropes from using the needle of a compass was inspired by this one nintendo Tinkerbell game I played when I was little.
I seem to have a lot of knowledge on how human penises and uteruses tastes like. It's because I based it on goat penises and cow uteruses, I honestly don't know if they're the same as humans. But in general, those parts taste chewy when overcooked.
For Mayanka's liking to lard/grease/fat, It was inspired heavily by my uncle who eats pork lard like that. Literally, like pudding. He would mix them with rice too, making it super slimy and yucky.
I don't know how he's not dead from a heart attack yet.
Yes, I did plan on making an Alternate Universe Mayanka where he's NOT a rapist or a cannibal.
AU Mayanka is a quiet, homely, house husband who occasionally posts pictures of random objects/reader/'facebook' selfies through his Telecamera (microwaveean instagram) account without any captions.
Like he would post a blurry picture of a tulip growing in the park without any captions,
Then a picture of reader's dog in a diaper (without any captions),
Then a picture of you (reader) eating the pancake he made (without captions)
Then a close up picture of a bee he stole from the internet (again, without any captions/context).
Then, an unedited selfie of himself in front of the park's porta potty, not smiling. (Without context, no caption).
AU Mayanka is a living U-rated shitpost.
As he and reader are living in a country with a colder climate (eg, Netherlands), he's always wearing a puffy parka jacket and a long scarf to cover lower half of his face and neck. He'll still have long, black hair, except it's allowed to swing freely and a handmade beanie (by AU Mayanka) rests on top of his head.
Cooks and cleans a lot, takes good care of reader's pet dog at home. Still a huge eater but he is only 6'7. Loves cuddles and kisses, also likes watching soap operas— AU Mayanka never misses a 7pm episode of his fav soap opera.
Sometimes AU Mayanka would play a VHS workout video and exercise along with his 80's leg warmers.
AU Mayanka would crotchet handmade mittens, beanies, hats, dolls or weave baskets, hats etc to sell online and make a bit of money to afford a wedding ring, nice vacation, a nice gift etc.
In other words, AU Mayanka would be a real, Gentle Giant but quieter.
I don't know if that AU should be published in this book or in a new one with it's own plotline. Mayanka is too physically attractive to be painted as an asshole. :,(
That's all I can say about this book in general. Thank you for reading and please tell me your opinion/ thoughts on:
•Mayanka
•Reader
•Meyanna
•Ada and Ama
•Tamia Smith
•Hal. O
•Miss G(irl)
•Mo(lly/MDMA)
•Sepak Takraw Ball
•Any other characters I missed, I doubt so because this book only has a few relevant characters.
Also, please tell me what you think about the entire book so far! Do you prefer the usual Microwaveness silliness or this more austere/serious one?
Also, any AUs that you wanna see Mayanka in? Please comment! I might consider writing it too!
If you have any questions for Marooned With You, me or what Mayanka would do in a given situation...or found any loopholes, please do comment!!! I'll answer/fix them all :)
Thanks yall, I really appreciate you reading, voting and commenting on my books. It means a lot to me and I love you all so much. ❤️😭
You may have your own opinions and morals, but please do remember, rape is NEVER okay. Mayanka's crappy backstory may explain why he does it, but it does not excuse his actions and he needs to face the consequence.

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx.
