《Joker's Running Wild (Deltarune, Super Paper Mario, Kirby Super Star)》Epilogue/End Credits

Mr. L set up camp in a cave just outside the Mushroom Kingdom. It was dark, lonely, and isolated. Perfect!
"L...L I-"
Perfect....right? I mean, it was unbearably lonely....but it was safe. So yes, perfect.
"L, please. Just stay. I'll find a way to make it up to you. Just stay."
He was alone. No one was here to hurt him..... So why did it still hurt??
"L, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry for everything-"
Why does it hurt so bad?
"L, I'm sorry. I don't expect forgiveness. I don't deserve forgiveness."
Why wont it stop hurting??
"L, please. I know I don't deserve you. Just come back. That would be enough."
Oh, Grambi, please make it stop hurting.
"I don't need my magic. I just need you alive. So please, L. Just come back. You don't have to talk to me. You don't even have to look at me. Just please come back."
Why couldn't he get his stupid voice out of his head??
"I see. Well, if you ever need me, just say the word and I'll be there."
No. He didn't need him. He didn't need anyone.
"L, before you leave, I have to tell you. I-"
No...
"I love you."
No!
Mr. L's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps.
Footsteps?? Oh no. He moved in here specifically to be alone. Why was he hearing footsteps.
"Mr. L? Mr. L, are you here?" Came a familiar voice. Mr. L jerked up. Oh no, he had been found. "Please, I just need to talk."
He knew that voice. That Italian accent. Mr. L lowered his guard. "Ugh, Luigi, how did you find me?"
Mr. L stepped into the light so he could be seen. Luigi smiled. "Ha! I knew I could do it! I knew I could find you!" Mr. L rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Yeah, congratulations. Now I have to move. Ugh, what do you want?" Luigi cocked his head to the side. "What? I can't pay my favorite alter ego a visit?" Mr. L gave Luigi a condescending look. Luigi smiled and laughed. "Alright, alright. I just came to talk."
Mr. L scoffed. "To talk? Well newsflash Mr. ScaredOfGhosts, I don't care about what you have to say." Luigi furrowed his brows. "Can you please just hear me out? Please?"
Mr. L sighed and sat down. "You've got ten minutes before I throw you out." Luigi smiled. "Great! That's all I need!"
Luigi sat down next to L. "....I know why you didn't want to leave my head now," Luigi started.
Mr. L froze. "Umm, what?"
Luigi smiled a small smile. "All that time you spent in my head, you could have taken control. You could have been free, but you never did. And I know why." Mr. L shook his head. "No, you don't." Luigi put a hand on Mr. L's shoulder. "Yes I do. I don't know why it took me so long to realize it. I can't believe it took me so long to put the pieces together. The last thing I remembered before waking up and being reunited with Mario in the Underwhere was Nastasia capturing and hypnotizing me. So all that time in between must have been you. But, I woke up in the Underwhere, meaning you must have gotten killed."

Mr. L looked down. "Luigi, stop." Luigi continued. "Now, I don't think Nastasia or Count Bleck were the ones to kill you. They don't seem like they'd do that, especially since you were on their team. That rules Mimi and O'Chunks out too.. but Dimentio..."
Mr. L shook his head. "Luigi, I don't want to talk about this."
Luigi sighed, then continued. "Dimentio wasn't working with them, he was working against them on the inside. His goal was different. So, he must have been the one who killed you. That's why you never took control. Because he was your best friend, and he betrayed you. You didn't want to be hurt again. You didn't want to get close to anyone ever again because you were afraid they'd hurt you like he hurt you."
Mr. L brought his hands to his face. He felt his eyes begin to water. "Luigi, why are you telling me this?? I know what happened. I was there."
Luigi sighed. "So it's true then?"
Mr. L hesitated, before slowly nodding. "Yes. Long story short, I trusted him, and he betrayed me."
Luigi looked down. "And that's why you want to be alone. You're afraid. Afraid of getting hurt again." Mr. L narrowed his eyes. "I'm not afraid. What are you calling me, a coward?" Luigi shook his head. "I'm calling you a human, with human emotions. Everyone feels fear, including you."
Mr. L shook his head. "I don't know what you're trying to accomplish by telling me this. Whatever it is, it's not gonna work." Luigi became slightly uneasy. He got up and stood in front of Mr. L, so he was looking right into his eyes. "I'm telling you this, because I don't want you to throw your life away. I know you think you are protecting yourself from getting hurt, but you're actually hurting yourself more. You're preventing yourself from being happy!"
Mr. L stood up so Luigi was no longer looking down on him. "Oh, and what do you suggest I do? I am perfectly happy here, alone! Everything is perfectly fine!" Luigi shook his head. Mr. L looked exhausted. Nothing about this situation said, 'perfectly fine.' "Mr. L....I think it's time to stop running from your fear and to face it head on. I think it's time to begin healing."
Mr. L scoffed. "I'm not running from my fears. This is MY life. Just leave me alone." Luigi sighed. "Okay. If you want me to, I'll leave. But Mr. L, don't keep pushing everything away. Or you'll never be happy."
Luigi slowly made his way to the exit, before turning around and facing Mr. L again. "And by the way, I think you should talk to Dimentio. I forgave him. I think you should too."
With that, Luigi left.
Mr. L let out a sigh. "No. He's wrong. I'm happy. Everything's fine!" He told himself. But he wasn't dumb. Who was he trying to fool, this sucked. Everything still hurt. And now loneliness consumed him more and more every waking moment.
Yet he still feared now being alone. It was strange. He hated the loneliness, but pushed anyone who tried to help away. Mr. L walked over to the hammock he used as a bed and lied down in it, looking at the dark cave ceiling.
He waited like that, for a good few minutes, thoughts circling his brain.

"I see. Well, if you ever need me, just say the word and I'll be there."
Mr. L shook his head. Dimentio was off who knows where. And he didn't have his Magic. There was no way to reach him, not that he wanted to.
"I love you."
Mr. L thought these words over. It was the last thing he ever heard Dimentio say. He surely didn't mean it. If he loved him, then he wouldn't have blown him up. Right?
Or maybe Dimentio blew him up BECAUSE he loved him.
"I...I was getting to attached to him. It was essential to my plan."
Mr. L squeezed his eyes shut and hugged his knees to his chest. He thought being alone would be comforting, but it wasn't. It just gave his mind time to cloud his thoughts with memories.
Slowly, he sat up. "I'm such an idiot..." He told himself.
"Just say the word, and I'll be there."
Mr. L let out a sigh. "....Dim? Dim, I want to see you."
"Dimmy! Want some tea of cup! Cup!" Jevil offered. Dimentio, Marx, and Jevil all sat around a table they set up. They were in that place between all the games. Dimentio shook his head. "No thank you, Jevil."
"What about BEANS?" Jevil pulled out a can of beans. Marx gave him a confused glance. "Where did you even get those?" Jevil shrugged. "Dimmy, why are you all sad? I got cookies! Eat some cookies!"
Dimentio shrugged. "Not hungry." Marx rolled his eyes. "Dimentio, are you gonna be like this forever?" Dimentio looked up. "Like what?"
Marx laughed. "This pile of sadness and depression! You're always so sad!" Jevil shushed Marx. "Hey, don't be mean. It's just because he misses his man in green."
Everyone waited in silence before Jevil asked, "Hey, Dimentio! How's your Magic coming along?" Dimentio had told Jevil and Marx that his magic had slowly been returning. He held up his hand, causing Jevil's knife to go flying across the room and into his hand. "It's getting there."
He threw the weapon back to Jevil. Jevil applauded.
"....Dim? Dim, I want to see you."
Dimentio suddenly froze up.
"H-he's calling!" Dimentio's eyes lit up. "He's calling!" Jevil's eyes went wide. "Your man in green, green??" Dimentio nodded. Marx looked skeptical. "How can you even tell?"
Dimentio ignored him and stood up. "I can hear him. I've got to go." He toughed his middle finger to his thumb, prepared to snap his fingers. He snapped, but nothing happened.
Marx smirked. "I can just warp you over there you know." Dimentio shook his head. "No. No, I want to get there myself." Jevil cocked his head to the side. "But Dimmy, you haven't been able to teleport since-" Just like that, Dimentio teleported away, leaving Jevil and Marx speechless.
".....Well that happened." Marx stated. Jevil beamed, before pulling out some cookies. "Cookie?" He asked. Marx sighed and took one.
Mr. L looked down. Nothing happened. Not that he was surprised. This was what he had expected. Still, it was hard not to be disappointed. He turned around and leaned his head against the cold, hard cave wall. He felt a tear slowly fall down his cheek. He squeezed his eyes shut. Of course Dim wouldn't come. He didn't have his Magic anymore.
"You called?"
Mr. L opened his eyes. He knew that voice. He slowly turned around to see a familiar jester standing in the cave's entrance.
Mr. L's eyes softened. "You answered."
Dimentio chuckled.
"I'll always answer."
Dimentio stepped forward. "L, I-" Suddenly Mr. L ran up and swept Dimentio into a tight hug.
"I love you too, Dimentio."
"Seam! Get backith here!" Rouxls Kaard called. Seam rubbed his temples. "Yes, Rouxl?" Rouxls angrily slammed his foot on the ground. "Thou 'friend' keeps terrorizing me! The ungrateful worm never listens, and he keepith breaking my stuff!" Seam rolled his eyes. "It's Jevil. What did you expect?"
Rouxls angrily crossed his arms. "When thou said thee would controleth him, I expected thou to CONTROLETH HIM!!! Where beith the little devil now??" Seam just shrugged. "First of all, we both know that Jevil can't be controlled. Second of all, I'm pretty sure he's with his strange friends." Rouxls rolled his eyes. "Why did we allow him to run free?" Seam chuckled. "Come on, you know you like him." Rouxls angrily mumbled. "Just telleth him to quit terrorizing me."
Seam nodded. "Alright. Farewell Rouxls." Seam said as he made his way towards his little shop. Once he arrived he saw Jevil waiting there for him, with Rouxls' rule book.
"Jevil, what are you doing with that book?" He calmly asked. Jevil shrugged. "Making biscuits!" Seam had a confused look on his face. "Umm, alright. Have fun with that."
Seam sat down and relaxed as Jevil crumpled up a piece of paper and put it in the oven. "Uhh, Jevil? I don't think you understand how making biscuits work...." Seam started, when Jevil opened the oven and pulled out a dozen perfect biscuits. "Here! Try one!" He said, throwing a biscuit at Seam. Seam shrugged and ate it. "What the heck? Why is it so good? How did you...." Jevil just shrugged and crumpled up more paper from Rouxls' book.
It had been nearly a year since Jevil had been allowed to return home. Since his prison was open, and the key was gone, there was no way to contain him, so Seam offered to keep an eye on him. King was against it, but eventually allowed it, since there was no other obvious option. Rouxls was the only one who had a real problem with it, or so he said, since Jevil was notorious for causing trouble.
Even with the small rivalry between Jevil and Rouxls, Seam was happier than he'd been in a long long time. He had his Jevil back. That's all that mattered. His friend was home. No, not friend. Family.
Together again, at last.
Seam got up and hugged his friend. "I love you, little buddy."
Jevil looked up before hugging Seam back. "I love you too, Seam!"

The Children of the Divine Limit
A realistic, psychological isekai: What pushes people to rejoice, to torture, to sacrifice, to kill? What gives some the will to survive and thrive in a new land and others the craving for dominance and exploitation? What would those who grew up without power all their lives do when given the approval and blessings of God Himself? How far will someone go to protect those close to them? How far will someone go to exact vengeance against an unjust world? How far can someone go before the abyss looks back at them? "Everything in the world is about sex — except sex. Sex is about power." - Oscar Wilde “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” - Abraham Lincoln Greed is the worst of all the deadly sins; all of human history lays out the evidence to support this thesis. Consider all of the above before reading this story: A 12th-grade high school class is sent to another world; a world of sword and magic called Omicron where other-worlders are revered as heroes given the divine blessing of the Lord God Sapiora, creator of Omicron's human race. It is currently a world at war. The humans of Omicron need these divine heroes as weapons against the Demon Emperor and the demihuman forces of the evil god Azazelin. However, two students within the class, Ajax Leonid and Shaula Seikennith, haven't been given the hero's blessing. They've been given something else, something more curious; the blood of a deity who noticed their specialness. As a result, after escaping the clutches of their summoners who tried to kill them for their lack of heroic potential, Ajax and Shaula enter the new world of Omicron with no one on their side except each other. While wading through rivers of blood, Ajax and Shaula seek a stable life, a life where they can salvage happiness. They have each other above all else. Perhaps the cost will be worth it. Perhaps not.
