《Stranger》Christmas Morning

It was nighttime. I woke up to hear Dillon talking to that deranged boy again. I sat up and they both looked at me. I rubbed my eyes and looked over to Dillon. Why is this happening to us? Out of everyone in the world they pick us. It doesn't make sense to me. "Hi D." Dillon said. I smiled at him and sighed. "Will you be joining us?" Milo asked me. I didn't quite get what he was trying to tell me. But then again, I did. I wonder about that..I mean I get that he's just a boy but it's just. I don't know. I feel.."comfortable" with him. Just not safe? But it instinctually caught my eye. I figured he was a ghost but I didn't quite know. He was so cold that I could pretty much feel his body temperature from here. It wasn't normal. And the freakishly pale skin? Yeah. Definable conclusion. He was a ghost. I'm so bad with those kind of opened-eyed, scary types, that I started shivering. "I guess." I stuttered and mumbled. Milo smirked and walked over to me. He crouched down and said, "Or are you to scared?" I just looked at him with no expression. But yes, I was indeed scared. I pulled my blankets up a bit higher and he laughed. "Aha! She is scared." he said as he stood up and looked at Dillon. "Come." he said looking at both of us.
I gloomily got up and stretched. Milo pushed me forward a bit. I clutched my left arm with my right hand. We walked down the basement and was greeted by a girl who looked about my age. "Are you having the dreams?" she asked Dillon. Ted walked into the scene and said, "We all had the dreams." I was confused for the most part. What dreams? "The movies make the dreams go away." the girl said. "Once you watch them all, you'll never had a bad dream again!" Milo said happily. "For real?" Dillon asked. "Swear." Milo concluded. I clutched Dillon's arm and slowly shuck my head at him. He shrugged back at me. The girl was wearing winter typed clothes. She had blonde, straight hair and the same pale skin as Milo. She handed a tape to Dillon and said, "This ones mine." she said. Dillon took it and started playing it. The first part, of course, was a happy family. It was Christmas morning and the family of 5 were happily opened presents. Dillon sat down next to Milo and me. I scooted myself more close to Dillon than to Milo. Next thing I knew, the setting turned dark and eerie. The family were tied with string lights. The girl started shoveling snow on them. Their hands shook, obviously, because they were extremely cold. The tape finally zoomed up on their faces. When the tape reached the moms face, she had frostbite all over her. Her eyes shifted to the tape as she took her last breath and it ended.

Me and Dillon both looked at Milo. Dillon looked normal, but you could tell he was scared. My eyes were wide. Milo looked at Dillon, to me. "Lets watch another." he said excitedly as he smirked. Dillon stood up and said, "No, I don't wanna watch anymore movies." I stood up and sheepishly walked over to Dillon. "But you have to! We haven't watched the best ones yet. Besides..you won't have any nightmares tonight. Or tomorrow if you watch another." Milo said confidently. "Night, Milo." he said as he grabbed my hand and walked up the stairs. I took one other good look at the kids, and they glared at us. Especially me. We climbed into bed. "Why is this happening, Dillon?" I said quietly so only Dillon could hear. He didn't answer and only looked at me. "Nothing can hurt you while me and Zach are around." he said. I smiled at him appreciating his confidence, but he was wrong. No matter how much stronger he was, I was always weak. If we did end up having to fight the devil himself, I'd be in the way. I'd just run away. "Thanks." I said. I turned over and covered my shoulders with my blanket and drifted off to sleep.

Human][Class: ... ... ...] [Hero] [Welcome to the System] What is a village-born Hero to do, but answer his calling? Current schedule: No chapters for the next few months. I'm still writing the entirety of Volume 2. WARNINGS:-Yes, this contains LitRPG elements after a slow start, promise.-This work is incredibly Slice-of-Life heavy-Also conversation heavy-Also plot heavy (But not in that way, unfortunately)-The pacing in terms of plot is slow -(Edit after a review)- This story is also known as: I honestly don't understand what's the difference between "light" and "dark" stories. I realized that far too late, so this story is... weird. It might be light at times, and dark at times, and in all honesty, definitely has dark undertones. Oh, and prepare to be disappointed or pleased by this story; I understand that this story is polarizing, at least. Cover made by: Fei (@Chippy03966650) / Twitter

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.

Prelude to Forever : Alden & Maine
A Fictional chronicle of Alden and Maine, how their love developed from work buddies to friendship and love or more succinctly, from Alden and Yaya Dub to Alden and Maine, to RJ and Meng. Stories are inspired by posts on social media accounts of both Alden and Maine, actual Kalyeserye episodes, and feature stories covered by fan magazines. I try to recreate scenarios as close as possible to how things might actually happen, what thoughts go through their minds, as their beautiful relationships unfold. Enjoy this journey with me :)
