As soon as the scarlet flame dragon laid eyes on the little beast, it roared in panic and immediately lost control, as if threatened by a formidable enemy. It rushed towards the little beast, preparing another attack in it's mouth. It seemed much more powerful than before.

Mia's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of this. She tried to calm down the scarlet flame dragon but that was totally unsuccessful.

When Ana saw that her little beast was in danger, she struggled to stand up and scooped it into her arms in a flash. At that very moment, a furious ball of fire blasted out of the Scarlet flame dragon 's mouth. The flames engulfed Ana in a matter of seconds.

‘ Oh no! ’ Mia was caught off guard.

The others on the spot were awestruck with amazement to see such a powerful scene as well.

Scorching heat overwhelmed Ana. She could see nothing but raging flames around her, as if she were in the depths of hell. The conflagration seemed to melt her into ashes . Her skin was burnt black, and the pain almost killed her.

‘ Is this the end of me? No, it can't be! I haven't done anything I want yet. How can I die like this? No! No way!’ Ana's eyes lit up, her desire for life bursting out.

Simultaneously, the dragon spirit mark on her left arm began sparkling. Shining ribbons surged up from the dragon spirit mark and began to spin, forming a force full vortex. The vortex sucked up the flames in a flash!

The second the vortex absorbed it, a flicker of Ana's dragon spiritual power broke out and began to grow rapidly and fiercely.

Ana, however, hadn't noticed the surge of her dragon spiritual power.

Mia, in the meantime, had succeeded in pacifying the scarlet flame dragon. It was panting wildly, smoke blowing out of it's mouth.

Mia was stupefied to see that the furious flame disappeared suddenly.

She left the scarlet flame dragon and walked to Ana.

‘ How has this happened? ’ Mia called out to Ana as she drew nearer.

‘ You are so cruel! ’ Ana cradled the little beast in her arms and clenched her teeth as she looked up at Mia, rage bubbling up in her chest.

‘ Are you both alright? I didn't want this to happen’, Mia said pursing her lips. She hadn't expected her scarlet flame dragon to lose control at all.

Ana's lip curled in anger and she ignored Mia . She then began checking whether her little beast had been injured by the fire attack.

‘ Why did your beast run out? The cage should be locked’, Mia asked when she saw the poor little beast. Although she hadn't figured out why the scarlet flame dragon lost control, she was sure that it had something to do with the sudden appearance of the little creature. If not for it, this wouldn't have happened.

But what intrigued Mia was the very fact that such a little beast would come to protect it's owner as soon as it noticed Ana was in danger.

Typically, an untrained beast was timid and scared infront of a stronger one, especially if it were a dragon. Dragons were the most superior of the spiritual creatures, after all. The scarlet flame dragon would usually petrify other beasts, especially ones as low ranked as Ana's.

This little beast, however, showed no fear at all and even wanted to fight against the scarlet flame dragon to protect it's owner. There must be some special reason, unless it was just rather stupid.

‘ Nope! I didn't lock the cage’, Ana answered.

‘ You are ridiculous! Don't you know how dangerous it is?’ Mia was exasperated.

‘ Don't make it out to be my fault! You're the one to blame. You fooled me first’, Ana answered angrily.

‘ That was because you ignored my order!’ Mia shouted, glaring at Ana.

‘ Humph!’ Ana curled her lips in disagreement.

‘ Have you forgotten? You said you could reach the third grade of mysterious dragon skill in three months. But look at you now! You can't even achieve that goal in over three years!’ Mia yelled at Ana.

‘ I don't need you to remind me of that. In three months, you will see’, Ana sneered. She then stood up with the little beast cradled in her arms and stomped away.

After returning in her room, Ana put the little beast on her bed and then sat down next to it. She took off her coat and was greeted with a large scar on her right arm. She could not help but gasp in pain.

‘ Is there a clinic around here?’ Ana muttered to herself. As she tried to get up, the little beast cried and began licking Ana's wound.

‘ Good boy! But your saliva is not medicinal ’, Ana laughed, stroking it's head . But after a few seconds, she was utterly flabbergasted to discover that her scar had become smaller and the pain had been reduced.

‘ Holy shit! What a magical effect! Your saliva is amazing! How did that happen? ’ Ana exclaimed, and her science loving mind aroused. She held up the little beast and began studying it. She then put it down after a while, lost in thought.

Rubbing her chin, Ana murmured,‘ If only I had the equipment! I would be able to extract your cell and study on your genes’.

It seemed that the little beast understood what Ana said, so it jumped out of Ana's arms immediately and curled up at the corner of the bed.

‘ Ha ha! Don't worry, little guy! I will never dissect you and make you into a specimen’, Ana laughed.

A sudden thought occurred to her and she slid over to her little beast, and gently flipping it over to check it's limbs.
