AN: This is after RuJin had revealed his identity as the Dark Lord at the Sects Battle. Basically, this is before we had jumped into RuJin's past, when he was just found out to be the Dark Lord.

Xi Yu looked at the stage, shock morphing in her eyes. So that's who Jin was, no, RuJin, the Dark Lord.

Should she have felt repulsed by this fact? Truth was, she didn't. From as soon as she was able to talk, she had learnt about the Dark Lord. He was a figure, feared and frowned upon on by many. Yet, as royal tutors told more stories about this powerful man, she didn't fear him. No, she empathized with him.

The Dark Lord who had struggled in this dark world alone, and the only story known about him were those that obviously defamed him. Xi Yu almost could feel the pain RuJin must've gone through. If that didn't do it, people said that his demise came when his lover was killed, right in front of his eyes.

And yet, his death was what made others find joy. He, who had cleaned the world of its evilness, fighting evil with evil, in the end, was killed. No, killed wasn't the right word. He had tried to take revenge for the man he had loved.

Xi Yu found important clues about this matter. This was when she still hadn't met LuJin yet, when she still hadn't known about him at all.

She had heard gossips, saying that the Dark Lord's family was killed when he was younger, that was why he became known to the world as the Dark Lord. That the man who was able to help the Dark Lord was someone from the Heavens Sect.

Xi Yu hadn't been able to find out who it was, but it seems like she would have to start researching for information about the Dark Lord again.

Then, she connected some dots. What if LuJin was just RuJin before his family was killed? Was LuJin just the RuJin who had not gone through that incident, how the Dark Lord could have been if his family wasn't killed? LuJin was RuJin's past identity, is he was RuJin.

She looked at her brother, Xi WeiLong, looked at Wu Luiyin and his son, Wu Wenting. She then turned to look at LuJin's family, his mother, MeiRin, his sisters, MoWan and MoXin, his father, JianTang. What are they all feeling right now?

MeiRin looked at her husband's face, tears welling up in her eyes. Their son.....was the reincarnation of the Dark Lord? How could that be possible? Her sweetheart, her only son was someone with such a past. But that was in his past life, shouldn't his present life be different now?

She stuttered a quiet sob, eyes red as she covered her mouth.

MoXin stood frozen, unwilling to believe what had just happened. She couldn't face it, she couldn't believe the thought of her brother being someone so complex like this. She didn't know what she was suppose to do. She turned her head towards MoWan. MoWan stood silent, her eyes were filled with shock. Then she turned to JianTang, who's face had hardened.

In the silence that remained, uneasiness rose. Fear was lurking in everyone's mind, they were all afraid of what would happen in the future.

Wu Luiyin looked at the figure that already had disappeared from sight, closing his eyes.

Wu Wenting couldn't help but look at his father with questioning eyes. He didn't know who the Dark Lord was, thus, he didn't why the mood had plummeted even more.

The minds of five specific sect elders ran wild. They were afraid of what was to be in the future. This time, there was no weaknesses stopping the Dark Lord from eliminating everyone in this world. And the first targets would be them. Because of what they had done to the Dark Lord's only weakness. Now, they were weaker, much weaker than they were before. They wouldn't be able to survive even one attack from the Dark Lord.

Xi WeiLong's eyes grew serious. His past and the Dark Lord's collided. His mother was killed by the Dark Lord. Xi Yu was not his full blooded sister, they were only half-siblings. That's why when he heard about the name Dark Lord, his blood turned cold. He had lost his mother because of the Dark Lord. Indirectly killed or not, his mother was still dead in the end. The only one he could blame was the Dark Lord.

Standing up, his back straight, Xi WeiLong looked at the crowd of people. His eyes were those of a powerful rulers, one who had power over all.

"Silence! Right now, the battle is no longer of importance. What we should be doing now is to think of a way to unite all of the nations together to bring down the Dark Lord. He was a powerful figure, dangerous and evil, though he was once eliminated, he is back again now. This time, things have changed. The strength of the nations are no longer as powerful as it was back then. That being said, we will have to ask for the help from Shadow Sect."

Xi Yu looked at her brother, eyes wide. She objected. No matter what others thought about RuJin, she knew better. She knew that RuJin had never meant to use his powers against those who were weak. She knew that he was trying to rid the world of its evil, even if that meant tarnishing his name.

She knew more than anyone else. Years of searching out information, years of endless trails she had to face, she realized that RuJin was a broken person. If what she thought was right, RuJin's family was killed by one of the sects here with her.

Xi Yu couldn't harm someone like him. He had lost and lost so many things in his life, that's why he became such a ruthless person. She needed to find him.

"Brother, do you know what you are saying?" Xi Yu couldn't help but ask, almost resentfully.

"Of course I do. I want to eliminate the Dark Lord just as much as everyone else here. So, why don't we combine our power. The Dark Lord will never let us off the hook, so we should prepare for a battle. He was defeated once, why won't he be defeated twice? That's why, everyone here, I will ask of all of you to join power and help eliminate the Dark Lord once and for all."

MoXin looked up at once. Dark Lord or not, that man they wanted to kill was her brother. She was going to protect him. Even if it meant fighting against all odds. She will never let him be hurt again. Never. Even if everyone betrayed him, she would never do that. Her brother was her brother, it was as simple as that.
