《Dark Lord》Chapter 50

From a great distance away, RuJin could hear the sound of thousands of footsteps stepping on the grounds. Without needing to find out who those people were, he called for Mo Xin.
"Mo Xin, find Yu Xi as soon as you can and tell her that they have come. Remind her to act like how the plan was made and tell her to not be rash." RuJin said, grabbing his sword that lingered in the air before him, it's aura of death seeping into a dark mist around it.
"Yes, brother. Should I gather everyone and send them to the battlefield too, or do you think it would be better to send out a few at a time to minimize the amount of deaths?" Mo Xin asked, looking onwards as RuJin prepared himself.
Her face was normal, showing no sign of worry but her heart was extremely worried. Thinking about all the people who were precious to her, her brother, Yu Xi, and most of all, the man that she had found herself falling in love with, Xue Yi, how could she not be worried? Just the thought of losing any of them was enough to send her heart into panic, how would she feel if it actually happened?
But she didn't want to think like that. This war, they were all going to win it, and they would return back to this valley and peacefully live their days out here in this place.
"Send out a few at a time," RuJin replied as he and Mo Xin stepped out of his room.
With that, Mo Xin teleported away to find Yu Xi, but not before she took one final glance at RuJin.
RuJin, with his sword in his hand, took a deep breath.
This was almost the exact same thing that happened on that day twenty years ago. The only difference now was that ShuYan was no longer here by him.
Thinking about everything now, RuJin felt even more pain. If he had found out about how much more danger ShuYan would've been in, he would've rather brought him alongside with him as they fought together. At least then, ShuYan would've been by his side and he would've been able to protect ShuYan.

Xi WeiLong raised his hand, everyone stopping at his command.
"Crown Prince Xi, I'm sure that by now they must've already found out about our arrival so why haven't they come yet?" Wang Long, a trusted subordinate of Xi WeiLong, asked. Standing next to him was Mo Wan, because Wang Long was the man who she loved, the one who she had chosen over her two only siblings.
"Ah Long, be patient, they are coming right now." Mo Wan chose to answer his question instead because she had already detected signs of movement long ago.
Wang Long turned to Mo Wan and nodded his head, showing that he understood.
In return, Mo Wan couldn't help the slightest glimmer of a smile that appeared on her face, and she felt Wang Long's hand on top of her's.
Xi WeiLong held his breath, this was it, this was the moment that he had been long awaiting for. He raised his head, his eyes looking far into the distance.
It was all or nothing now.
RuJin stood before the mass of his enemies, Xue Yi stood next to his right side, Yu Xi stood to his left side while Mo Xin was standing next to Xue Yi. Each of them were the first three most powerful people that they had all agreed on entering the battlefield first. Although other people had volunteered to be the first people, these three were stubborn, saying that they were powerful. Xue Yi had used the excuse that Mo Xin was going so he had too to, and Yu Xi had said that she knew more spells than the other.
In his eyes, he could see those five resentful people who had gone against ShuYan and his blood boiled. Then, he turned his eyes to his 'family' before looking at Xi WeiLong, the person who was the one leading their side.
"Do you have any second thoughts about going through with this war? If you do, what I ask of you is quite simple. If you feel like you can't win this war, I just want the life of five men. These men have done quite a lot of harm to someone I hold dear, so with these five men, I might spare you and the rest of your people." RuJin was making a deal with them. To say that if the other side didn't want to fight, he would stop after getting a certain five men. Those five men were the elders who had attacked ShuYan. With them, he would spare the other people on this battlefield.

"You already know my answer," Xi WeiLong didn't and would've never chose to retreat or bow down towards RuJin.
RuJin only looked coldly onwards, and without any signs, his people began to attack.
Right away, Mo Xin attacked without any signs of showing fear. Anyone who was in her way, she gave no mercy and killed, blood splattering across her body. As she traveled further and further into the other side, others began fearing her as she created a massacre.
But then, someone stopped her. Upon seeing who it was, Mo Xin smirked.
"So, finally coming out, huh?" Mo Xin said, dodging the attack that was heading straight towards her.
"If I don't stop you, no one else would be able to," Mo Wan only replied as she attacked once more, sending a beam of energy heading towards Mo Xin.
"Well, prepare to lose then. I have things that I won't back down for, and you know that too." Mo Xin repelled the attack, and grabbed her sword and struck towards Mo Wan.
Mo Wan used her own sword to stop her sister's attack, her arm shaking from the force.
She had never beaten Mo Xin at a fight, much less one with a sword. But she still continued to fight, striking and deflecting each of Mo Xin's attack.
Mo Xin was getting frustrated because she had been going easy on Mo Wan, yet she knew that if she continued, Mo Xin would only spend more time on her. She needed to end the fight soon.
Seeing that Mo Wan had been distracted by just one moment, Mo Xin swung her sword hard, knocking away Mo Wan's sword and stabbing towards her. She wasn't going to kill her, she was just going to give her a wound that would slow her down and make her attacks weaker.
Mo Wan had looked towards the direction where Wang Long was, seeing that he was bleeding heavily, but that was enough time for her sword to get knocked away and for her to get stabbed right by the side of her waist. She immediately put a hand against her waist, trying to stop the blood that flowed out.
"I won't kill you, after all, we have spent so much time together. But, know well that before you can get to Jin, you will have to do so over my dead body." Mo Xin walked after saying those words, choosing to head towards the direction Xi WeiLong was in.
Mo Xin had been told by RuJin to head for Xi WeiLong and any of the strong people she saw. Because her mother and father were stronger than her, she couldn't fight against them. Yu Xin would be strong enough to do so, so she was leaving everything up to her.
Her eyes caught Xue Yi, who was smiling while ruthlessly killing cultivators as if they were flies. Xue Yu flashed her a quick heartfelt smiled before returning to his duties.
Mo Xin smiled, feeling that maybe when this battle ends, she would be able to ask him then.
Not far from the war, two figures stood in a pavilion that overlooked the sounds of screams.
One of them opened up their mouth, smiling as they said a few words that would sound like nothing much, but to one who knew, it would be the most important.
"ShuYan, why don't you play a song on the guqin for me."

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
