I'm guilty for making you waiting to long. It beens a month? Sorry... my collage is already started and so my assignment. Sometimes, I go to Wattpad and found you nice words. It just really encourage me, you know.
I will not try to take your time more. Enjoy this new chapter~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So...how long do we need to wait? Don't get me wrong! With all this free food, I will not complain if we need to wait one more day." Rin said still munching on her chicken.
"For a little girl, you do eat a lot." Lumine sweatdrop looking at Rin that already steals another chicken from Paimon plate.
"HEY! There still plenty over there!"
"You closer." Rin answer simply.
"I do hope you enjoy our foods..." A male with long white hair that can make even a girl like me envious.
"Can you guys appear normally?! You almost make Paimon drop the food!" Paimon said with this angry tone.
"Maybe next time, be more aware of your surrounding. What will you do if I'm an assassin, hm?" The male answers cooly.
"Hie... All people in here are really not normal. Lalsa didn't lie when she said normal is not in their dictionary." Paimon whispers to Lumine.
"I here to inform you, that our king is ready to meet with you together with this... sudden guest of yours. Follow me." The male look towards Rin while Rin timidly look at him.
"Thank you..."
"My name is Livius. I'm the sin of Envy. Nice to meet you... the Victor from the tournament. Though I still not fond of you." Livius said with a tiny glare.
"... I aware. Thanks." Lumine said looking somewhere else. After that little fiasco, she is no surprise if she accidentally makes an enemy out of The Seven Deadly Sins.
"Why are you so silent suddenly?" Lumine can hear Paimon whisper talking with Rin.
"I can't help it! I'm weak towards... beautiful man." Rin answers bashfully with this silly smile looking at the so-called Livius. Paimon sweatdrops at the sight.
We follow Livius upstairs towards one door. He signaling the guards to open the door.
"I expect you to be on your best behavior," Livius said with this menacing aura. Lumine, Paimon, and Rin stiffly nod.
And the sight that awaits them behind the door is quite sinful...
"..."
"WHAT ARE YOU TRY TO DO WITH TONE-DEAF BARD?!" Paimon shouts while covering Rin's eyes. With Camilla position kinda look like straddling Venti and their face is close with each other. It also didn't help Venti lips are covered with lipstick and if you look closely, the lipstick is exactly the same shade as Camilla's lips.
"Ehe~ We get found~"
"YOU IDIOT TONE-DEAF BARD!"
(A little skip brought to you by Livius.)
"So let us continue our conversation," Camilla said calmly while applying her lipstick back. Venti is already long gone with a bump in his head.
"Paimon eyes... Remind Paimon to get holy water when we go back to Mondstads." Paimon said. Lumine also looks kinda flustered, didn't expect to see that kinda scene the moment they step into the room.
"...Are you and Venti?"
"Hm? Oh! Make sure to get used to that scenery, okay? It just how our relationship work, I guess? You human sometimes make things more complicated than it sounds." Camilla answer while put her lipstick in her pocket back.
'You the one that makes it sound so complicated.' Lumine and Paimon thought.
"We should ask what you want, right? Go on... I quite in good mood already." Camilla moving her hands signaling Lumine to continue.
"... I want some information about my brother and if possible on what happens in Khanriah." The silence engulfs the room. Under the moonlight, Camilla hair has this kinda glow same as Venti and Zhongli.
"I cannot talk to you about what happened to that nation. Even if I can, it still leave me with a bitter taste. But for your brother, not even I know what is his objective. The very reason he did that thing. Is it for Money? Power? Or Revenge? I'm sure that meeting of yours makes your emotions unstable now." Camilla calmly eyeing Lumine's reaction.
"...So you also didn't know?" Lumine said with these depressed eyes.
"No. I don't. Yes, I meet with him once but even I didn't understand his action. What kind of things did he witness that makes him choose quite a hard path? Only you can try to understand his action. There is only much an outsider like me can understand but you and he share the family blood. Perhaps, when your journey come to end, it will be the time you need to choose."
Lumine silently tightens her hands hearing Camilla's words. She is desperate, thinking that this time she can have the answer but still leave with nothing but a mysterious speech.
"Don't worry too much, dear. This is also where I come in." Camilla said with a smile.
"What do you mean?" Lumine asks back.
"Paimon has quite a bad feelings." Paimon whisper.
"I decide to tag along with your journey~," Camilla said with a bright smile. The cup in Lumine's hands falls to the floor.
"WHAT?! YOU CAN'T JUST DECIDE TO TAG ALONG! WHAT ABOUT YOUR NATION?!" Paimon screech.
"Fufu~ How cute~. Isn't that the reason why I create the sins? To help me?" Camilla said with this happy-go-lucky smile. Livius that stands not far from her can only be deadpanned.
"My lady, please... have mercy towards our works." He said with a twitching smile.
"Shush, Livius. It's not like I going off my work for 100 years. It just may be for a couple of years. Think of this as my holiday. I never have a chance to go around Teyvat again, you know. And to think that old dragon is already retired. Hmph!"
"Lady, You act childish again," Livius answers while massaging his head.
"If you are that worried, I can do urgent work while on the journey. Also, I make sure to call you if I face some difficulty. How about that?" Camilla tries to bargain with Livius.
In the end, Livius nods. He cannot really go against his archon wishes besides this is also a good reason to make his archon rest for a moment. The rest of the sins can handle the nation's small problem. They just need to watch out for Treasure Hoarders and the Abyss.
"Should we have some say on this?"
"Leave it. Paimon sure, our opinion doesn't matter to them." Rin that watches things uphold can only think about when the right time for her to ask a question. Thankfully, Camilla notices this and decides to ask her.
"And you little girl? What a question that troubling your mind?"
"A-ah. I'm just want to know a-ab-about..."
"Your vision?"
"YES! I mean yes, your highness."
"...There is no specific reason. I only heard your resolve and decide to put my gaze towards you. Isn't that simple?"
"But why it's you? Why not.."
"Barbatos? Even we work mysteriously, child. What for us seems normal for you humans is not. Even if you know the reason, I doubt you will try to understand it. People only believe what they want to see even if they know the ugly truth."
"..."
"Live the way you want. Without thinking about that too much. Enjoy your lives before they end, child. Isn't that your ambition? To live a life without regret? A second chance?"
The silence one more time engulf the rooms. Camilla still looks very calm before stand up gracefully.
"I believe the time is late. I'm afraid, I need to return to my chamber soon. Let us meet again tomorrow, Lumine." Camilla starts to walk outside leaving Lumine, Paimon, and Rin alone.
Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light
“I discovered a secret. One I desperately wish could have stayed hidden. It was locked away, concealed in a fantastical world on the doorstep of 7 billion people who stayed utterly oblivious to it. If they will be spared the terror that is coming, I can’t begin to imagine. Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope
The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
