As stated above, we're making some changes to the club. Not in the way that you will have to do your reading, though there is a little bonus included with assignments now, but mostly in how us founders and admins will be doing things. These changes are the results from the survey we asked everyone to fill out. We're trying our best to improve the club and provide everyone with a community that we all can be proud of and genuinely find useful. To those of you who did fill out the survey, thank you, and we heard you. Hopefully, these changes can help propel us to a better place where everyone feels like they are benefiting.

1. We are going to start subtracting notes from those who leave bare minimum feedback and/or are late. (This does not include those who request extensions before the deadline hits.)

2. Each round will now be posted in two chapters(or pages), one for announcements, and one for the actual reading groups.

3. We will be leaving a quiz at the top of the second page with three questions regarding the announcements made on the first page. First person (member or admin) who answers all three correctly will be rewarded two music notes, and the second person to answer all three questions correctly will be rewarded one extra music note.

4. We will be offering a "Question of the week" for members to answer in their partners' books and BOTW.

5. Notes will be handed out a little differently now.

-1 note for above and beyond feedback

-1 note for answering the question of the week in both partners' books

-1 note for answering the question of the week in the BOTW.

This gives each member a chance to earn 3 notes per round, 4 or 5 if you include the announcement page quiz.

6. We will be adding new prizes for members to spend their notes on. To see what those prizes are, please check out the "Notes and Prizes" portion of this page.

7. We will be implementing a "break week" at the end of each month to allow members a chance to make edits and just take a breather after receiving a month of feedback. Each break week will be the last Wednesday-Wednesday week of the month, starting next month with the first one being from 5/25 - 6/1 (or 25/5 - 1/6)

Some minor changes have been made to 1 or 2 reading groups. We apologize for the inconvenience but as new members join, we have to find places for them or create spots for future new members to fill. We're also trying to take into consideration each person's level of writing and feedback.

The QOTW does not go towards your end chapter comment and sentence minimum. To answer the QOTW, you can either attach it to your end chapter comment with the tag #JamQOTW next to it or you can create a separate comment with the tag #JamQOTW. No matter which you choose, the tag must be included so your admin can identify it apart from your end chapter comment.
