i see the way you lay awake at night, staring at your ceiling and just wishing you could waste away. it hurts, doesn't it? it hurts even worse because no one understands it.
they tell you that it's hopeless. that nothing could ever be enough to mend the hole inside your heart. so you believe them. and you learn to give up on yourself because everyone else did.
yet i know you deserve more than that. i see the light that shines from within you despite the miles of darkness that consume your being. you're so much more than what you've been told.
even though you might never believe me or think it's true, i'm so proud of you for continuing to fight because i know how much you don't want to.
