《feeling grey. [lloyd garmadon]》[eighteen]

As I slump around Jay's parents' dump, digging for parts, I realize my childhood home was not that bad.
"Have you guys found the whatever thing yet?" I shout, looking up to Kai and Cole.
"No. Maybe if you helped we could," Cole says, scowling.
"Hey!" I say defensively. "I am helping. I'm keeping you guys in check."
"I found it!" Jay shouts.
"Good job, son!" Jay's dad says, then proceeds to list off several other parts that are needed. Kai groans.
"You guys have fun, I'm going to go talk to Nya," I say, starting to walk away.
"Nope," Jay says, blocking me. "I'll do that for you." Cole grunts in annoyance.
"Fine," I mumble.
I follow Kai towards another pile. He pauses before climbing, and sits down instead. I sit down next to him, leaning against the cool metal. It felt good, relieving my skin from the heat of the blazing sun.
"What's up with Nya?" Kai asks suddenly.
"What do you mean?"
He rolls his eyes, hitting my shoulder playfully. "You know what I mean. She seems...confused lately." I snicker. "That's one way of putting it." Kai frowns. I sigh, standing up. I look to the side, squinting at the bright sun.
"You'll know soon enough."
Kai and I leave the pile and head to the trailer. Right as I put my foot on the steps, the trailer shakes. "That can't be good," I say, throwing the door open.
Kai and I step inside, but quickly move to the side to dodge the fight between Jay and Cole.
"I think I know what you were talking about," Kai mumbles.
"Get off me you black-hearted son of a bitch!"
"Well this black-hearted son of a bitch is more compatible with Nya!"
"Guys!" I shout, stealing their attention. "You really think girls find this attractive?"
"She's not wrong," Nya mutters.
"Do you find me attractive, Nya?" Cole asks.
"Ooh! What about me?" Jay says, shoving Cole.

Nya scowls. "You both look like fools! Maybe you guys belong together!"
Suddenly, the trailer begins to shake, ascending into the air.
Kai looks out the door. "Nindroids!"
"That's impossible!" Zane shouts. "What could be powering them?"
"They're after the techno blades," Pixal says.
"This is your fault!" Jay yells at Cole.
"Me? What did I do?" Cole exclaims.
"Enough!" Kai interjects. "We can use our Spinjitzu to get off this thing. Pixal, will you be alright?" Pixal nods.
I stand up, stumbling slightly due to the movement of the trailer.
"Ninjago!" I shout, jumping to the ground as my Spinjitzu protects me from the fall.
I run towards a group of Nindroids, using my Spinjitzu to knock them down. I thought I was doing alright, but they just kept regrouping.
One laughs menacingly. "You're time is up, little girl." I glare at the nindroid, kicking it in the face. I turn and run from the group, looking back to ensure I wouldn't get shot.
I gasp. "Sensei Wu!" He turns around.
He looked different from when I last saw him. Maybe it was his black beard, or his metal hat and black staff, or maybe it was his glowing red eyes and that half his face was metal.
"What did they do to you?" I mumble.
Kai huffs, appearing from behind Wu. He kicks Wu's back. "I'm not sure, but he isn't our Sensei anymore!"
Sensei Wu snarls, hitting Kai with his black staff. Kai groans from the impact.
"Ninjago!" I shout, but Wu also uses his Spinjitzu, knocking me down. I jump back up, trying to disarm him. Kai sees what I'm doing, and tries to distract Sensei so I could grab his staff. Finally, I'm given a shot and I grab the staff.
The pain was agonizing. My veins glow blue as the electricity corrupts my blood. I scream, dropping the staff and crumbling to the ground. Sensei Wu laughs, taking this time to his advantage. He raises his staff and strikes down onto my leg.

"El!" Kai shouts, but his voice was barely audible over the ringing in my ears. My leg was throbbing and I crane my neck to examine my injury. I lift a shaking hand, and touch my skin. My breath hitches in my throat as my fingers come in contact with the sensitive wound.
I could feel myself begun to drift away but I fight to stay awake. I couldn't walk, and my hands were burning. They were pink and raw from grabbing the electricity—how could I be so stupid?
"El!" Nya shouts, jogging towards me. Someone in a white hood runs towards me, it's pace quicker than Nya's. With my only remaining energy, I throw my techno blade to Nya. I flinch as my calloused hands made contact with the cold hilt.
I begin crawling away from the man, but he laughs at my childish attempt of escaping. I blink through the tears, my hands hurt so badly.
"Stay away from her!" Cole screams, running towards me.
The hooded figure chuckles, picking me up against his chest. He angles a knife to my throat and Cole pauses.
"If you come any closer, I won't hesitate," the man hisses.
"It's okay," I say, smiling weakly.
"Let this be a lesson to all of you," the figure says, his voice raspy. "See you soon," he hisses.
My eyes begin to shut slowly. I watch as my friends stand there helplessly, unsure of what to do. I take one final glance, and close my eyes, slipping into a world of darkness.

My eyes slowly flutter open. I try to move my hands, but they were tied behind my back. I wasn't tied up very well, but I couldn't use my right leg, so I suppose they didn't put in much effort.
I was shoved in a corner, various pipes blocking my view. And are those...tanks? Filled with some sort of eel?
I lean to the side, trying to get a better view as the pipes and tanks stood in the way. There was a screen and multiple computers and buttons on the far wall. The hooded figure was talking to the screen. I gasp, the voice from the screen is what remains of the Overlord.
"Who are you?" I say, trying to shout but my voice came out weaker than I imagined.
The hooded figure laughs harshly. "Wouldn't you like to know?"
"Who is that?"
The hooded figure chuckles. "I have a surprise for you." He walks towards me, seizing my shoulder and practically drags me towards the screen. He drops me against the metal box that one of the computers were resting on.
The Overlord laughs. "You have done better than I had imagined. You've caught the Master of Air."
The hooded figure grins. "Oh, I know. She is of great interest to our friend, the Golden Master. If he needs any persuasion in the future, we may just give it to him."
I glare at the figure. "Leave Lloyd out of this! Besides, what makes you so sure he'd come for me?" I bluff, knowing damn well he knows other wise.
The hooded figure turns his back to me, laughing as he faces the wall. He takes his hood off and turns around.
"I know him better than that, my dear."
I gasp. "Pythor. I like what you did to your skin," I say, grinning. He glares at me and kicks my injured leg, causing me to grimace.
"Yes, the Great Devour was quite bad for my complexion. No matter, I shall get my revenge now."
"You'll never get Lloyd's power!" I shout angrily.
"Oh dear, do I know him better than you? Relax, you'll see him soon enough. Not alive, of course."
Pythor laughs as I glare at him.
"Now If you excuse me, I have matters to tend to."
And just like that Pythor slithers away, leaving me alone on the floor, as I'm still unable to move.
Well, I suppose I do have the Overlord to keep me company.

Cardinal of Sin
They say sin comes at a horrible price. Or...perhaps I'm misremembering the saying. Regardless, I'm usually inclined to agree with the aforementioned statement. When one is held hostage by their own carnal instincts; never being able to fully control their primitive impulses...Well, let's just say, it would destroy a lesser man. That, I know. I died because of my lack of self-control, after all. I must admit, though. I didn't expect to change this belief of mine after meeting my end, but here I am. Breathing. In a world I don't belong; a world of magic. Here I am, whisked into another reality with the power to sin. To conquer.
