《His Possession》THIRTY-THREE

I made my way in Landon's BMW, while 'Boss' and half of his men walked towards the black suburbans.
I drove down the roads and made it on the highway with them following close behind. I took a faster route and continued down the street till I made a turn and pulled up to Jaxons house.
The cars park in front of his house, and all the men came pilling out. I made my way up the steps and open the door.
They were still typing away, but once they heard the door open their heads snapped my direction. Jaxons eyebrows pulled together and he stood up right away and walked my way.
"W-What- where did you go?" He pulled me into his chest and hugged me.
"This is how it looks like? Wow. Fûckin trash." I heard Daemons voice come in.
I sighed in his chest and push off till I was a foot away from him.
I look at Jaxon and see him glaring at Daemon and then looking at all the men walking into his house.
I look at Landon and see him standing up with a glare.
"Thanks for letting me borrow your car." I said while I tossed his keys at him, which he caught with one hand. And I gave him a sheepish smile.
"I never let you borrow my car anyway." He said while he glared at me.
"Why are you here?" Jaxons voice said towards 'Boss'.
I felt him come from behind the pack of men and make his way towards my right. His clammy hand clamped on my shoulder and I close my eyes and sigh.
Disgusting.
I open my eyes and stared directly at Jaxon.
"She came to me. Coming in saying you need my help."
I held my breath when Jaxons glaze went to mine. His eyes held anger but his face stayed completely calm.

"Wonderful. So. What are you doing? Are you helping or standing there?" Landon said while he came right next to Jaxon.
"Daemon." 'Boss' said. Daemon came from my left and gave Jaxon a paper with her location.
His eyes shot up and looked at me then to 'boss' then back to me.
My heart ache at the sight. Happiness came perfectly in his eyes. I gave him sly smile and he came up to me and hugged me tight with his head in the crook of my neck.
I smile against his chest and held him tight.
He pulled back but kept his hand on my hips and shifted me till I was in front of him and my back against his chest.
He gave Landon the paper and his head shot up with the same expression as Jaxon. His smile brought my heart to beat faster. I smiled back and leaned in Jaxons touch.
"So. What's the plan?" I turn my head towards the voice and see 'boss' walking towards Anthony and Tanner. The rest of the men made their way in the house and towards the living room and some at the kitchen table with Tanner and Anthony.
"Go in and take her back-" Jaxon said but kept quiet when boss snapped his head towards him with a glare.
"Sit."
Jaxon unwrapped his arms around me and made him way towards the table and sat down while boss leaned against the table.
"Do you know who else is going to be there?"
"Louis and some of his men."
"You're wrong." Jaxon gave him a confused face, and I quickly made my way towards behind his chair and placed my hands on his shoulder because I already know what he's going to say.
"Sit Landon."
Landon took a chair and placed it next to Jaxon, and looked just as confused as Jaxon.

"Who else is going to be there?" Jaxon said.
Boss crossed his arms and sighed. He looked between Jaxon and Landon then his glaze went back to Jaxon.
"Word on the street saying that Alberto and Alfonso came into town."
I felt his muscles tense right after his words. I heard him take in a sharp breath and I see his vein pop out on his neck and his finger tightening around the chair arms.
I rubbed his shoulders to try to calm him down but he pushed them off and walked up stairs. I looked over to Landon and see him with a blank face and looking lost in space.
I looked at boss and see him already making his way around the table and sitting at the head and pulling one of the laptops in front of him.
I gulp and look back at the stairs and look back at Landon.
He's looking at the floor with hands clenching the chair.
I walked over to Landon and grab one of his hands and rub the back of it.
His head snaps up and stares at me.
He pulled his hand back and shook his head.
"I don't need the attention. He does." He said pointing at the stairs.
I looked over my shoulder and gulp. I nodded my head and slowly made my way up the stairs. I looked at the walls and pulled my eyebrows together, if his father hurt his own son and wife, then why hang up these photos of a broken family.
I made my way down the hall and took in a deep breath. I slowly turned the knob and walked in.
I let my breath out and slowly closed the door. I turned around and my heart clenched.
Jaxon was on the ground in front of his bed and looking at me with tears streaming down his cheeks.
"J-Jaxon." I whispered.
"I-I failed her." He whispered in between his hiccups.
I made my way in front of him and sat down on my calves.
I leaned forward and wiping the tears that fell on his cheek.
He gripped my wrist and pulled me in his chest and wrapped his arms around me.
"I failed her." He sobbed in my hair while shaking with his sobs.
My eyes teared and I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
"He found us, and now he has her." He sobbed.
"No Jaxon. We found her. Now it's just time to go get her." I said softly trying really hard to not have my voice crack.
He continued to sob in my hair and his arms tighten around me.
I pulled him closer and I stayed quiet till his breathing started to slow down. I pulled away and unwrapped his arms and sat next to him. I grabbed his shoulders and turned his back towards me and pulled him down till his head was laying on my thighs.
He closed his eyes and I ran my hand through his hair. His breathing would always cut off with his hiccups and he would sniffle.
My thumb wiped the tears that would fall again, and I would trace everything on his face.
That calmed him down, so I bent down and kissed his forehead and continued to run my hands through his hair.
"Thank you." I barely heard him. I looked down and still see his eyes closed and I just continued to run my hands through his hair.
"For what?" I whispered.
"For calling them." He opened his eye, which are puffy and blood shot.
"Welcome."

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
