I slowly shut the door behind me, groaning a little from the bruises planted onto the surface of my skin. My feet silently slide through the wooden floor and towards the main room, throwing my backpack to the corner. A huge amount of oxygen fills my throat as I inhale deeply and slowly leads towards to the kitchen, feeling a slight nerve twirling on the side of my waist. He must've hit harder than what I expected since I could feel the same amount of pain slowly grows.
My mouth remained silence from groaning out loud, but I couldn't hold my expression making a grimace. My feet motion towards the sink and fill a glass up with water, waiting on the sudden end as my mind travels around.
I stayed up the rest of the night in the garage, puzzling it all together. Two death; Tom and Pete, the next victim has to be somebody who can't keep their mouth shut. However, I have to show the 'rat' into the light to find the killer.
I take a deep breath in frustration, the feeling of struggle irritates my soul.
Time passes at 8 in the morning, knowing that Alfred and Daisy would be up any minute by now. I shut down the computer and grasp onto the pen to scribble the answer to the riddle; Find The Rat. I throw the pen on the side of my desk and motion my legs towards the elevator as I grab my sunglasses from the pocket to avoid the sun in any moment. And come to my surprise, the light shines brightly than usual to glimpse through the elevator once it reveals the main entrance.
I pass through the hallway to see if Daisy is in the kitchen, which she usually is every morning. I always make sure to say good morning, at least that's the pattern by now.
My body comes to a stop at the doorway, watching her take a small sip from her coffee.
"Good morning." I rasps, in which she looks at me and exchange it back
She looks stunning, which is per usual but today felt different. the sun is shining bright tonight, glimpsing through her light-brown hair, adding small shadows around her features along with her facial structure. I couldn't help myself but watch the light drift around; however, I was staring a little too hard the moment she glance at me, tilting her head a little.
"Yes?" she asks out of curiosity.
"Nothing." I mutter back, removing my gaze off of her. Daisy simply nods and walk towards the living room with her cup of coffee.
Alfred creeps up behind me, clearing his throat to catch onto my attention. I tilt my head a little, eyeing him for a second.
"I don't know how you manage to hold black", he trails off. "By then I would've expected you to confess."
"What is there to talk about?" I raises my eyebrow, arching it in confusion.

"Your feelings, Bruce. What are you afraid of?"
"Nothing." I quickly respond back, trailing my eyes to the window.
"Then you should talk to her." Alfred says bluntly, walking past me as he grips onto his stock. "Don't make the same mistake twice when she was here to begin with. You'll end up regretting it by the time she goes home." My mind twirls around his words causing me to shrug a little.
He wasn't wrong. The moment she is out of my life again there is a possibility that I'll never see her again, unless I confess to her. I wasn't ready, because I wasn't too sure if my feelings for her was real to began with. I'm hesitant based on my own emotions, it didn't seem right for me to fall in love.
Daisy was like a rose to me, manageable to protect her roots until someone cuts the cords off. If she had any idea who I was everything would be destroyed. She would never look at me the same.
That day when she kissed me, I felt like there was an opportunity but I froze completely. I wasn't sure how to approach it, or how comfortable she would've been for me to touch her. But I knew she regretted it because I didn't say a single thing. I completely avoided it all.
I take a dee breath and walk back to the elevator before the opportunity disappears for me. Daisy doesn't know anything about the cave, it's kept between me and Alfred so having her around was a bit difficult. I had to wait for her to fall asleep before it's possible for me and Alfred to head downstairs.
Once I appear back to the garage, my mind is circling around Daisy for a second, but it wasn't the time to worry about her right now.
Hours went by and I finally figured where Penguin is. With each cameras places on every corners, I manage to watch him drive out the Iceberg Lounge, but he isn't alone. Four other cars followed his, which immediately made sense that something is about to go down.
I grab my backpack with an instant till I saw the flickering light in the air; the bat symbol. My nostrils flare in annoyance.
We both equally drive our own car to the destination. I knew exactly where Penguin was since I kept tracks on each corner with the cameras I planted. Penguin is up to something, I'm sure he is. The amount of times he been around Carmine for his own benefit, it wouldn't make any sense if he wasn't the rat.
We finally came to the destination as we park the car behind a garage that's stranded out in the open. No sounds around the alley, not even lights from any areas. Penguin is smart enough to choose a dead end with nobody to wanting to explore a dead end that's part of the city.

"Get the bag already!" the sound of Penguin's voice echoes, I could hear the frustration in his tone. I look at James nodding back to me, pointing his finger towards the open door signaling a strategy for the both of us. I nod a little as I head towards the garage, kneeling over the parking cars. James in the other hand choose to check the area if anybody were to come from behind.
Penguin throws a couple of bags to the boys who works along with him. They start walking towards the cars. I made sure to stay in the shadow as Penguin packs up the bags and leaves the rest inside his car.
I quickly inches behind him and grab onto his arm, pushing him against the car aggressively. Penguin struggle till he let out a loud yell, which brings the attention to me and the other guys. I instantly drop Penguin on the floor as I'm being surrounded by them in which James instantly comes out and holds the gun pointed at them. "Freeze!" James says loud enough to catch the attention from them.
I took the opportunity to grab one of them and prepared to strike my assailant in the groin with a balled fist. i throw up my forearms like an offensive lineman blocking a defensive back, but I slip to the side, pushes my elbow down and away, catching his head, and roll him into the floor. I smash my elbow into the side of his skull, the soft spot high on the temple. Another one tries to join the fight, in which I hit him a left hand in the V under his ribs where the sternum ends. It paralyses his diaphragm and he gasps and double over and then pitch forward onto the sidewalk. James manage to get two other men on the ground by using his gun as a threat to them. I immediately turn my attention to Penguin, but he proceeds to run towards his car. I run towards my car and manage to start the engine back up, following his car that disappears in the open.
The highroad is full of cars driving through the lines each of them points to. Penguin speeds through each car, cornering through a semi tight corner on the edge of my car cornering limit. I push myself and my car over the limit and feel every bit of the asphault under my tires, feel your tires bending, losing and regaining traction. I speed up the engine as I try to manage cornering him beside my car. The sudden sound of the gun going off towards my bulletproof window, reaching beside his. I catches the chance to out brake the his car into a corner, slightly faster than him. Penguin instantly speeds his way, inflicting on cornering me around. Two trucks appears on each corners, which leaves a difficult dilemma for the both of us. I could tell it would be a difficult situation but it didn't let Penguin stop his motive to runaway from as much as possible. It's too dangerous to street race around so many people who are simply trying to go from point A to point B. Innocent people who drive on the road to commute didn't sign up to be put in the way of serious harm or death on account of someone else's recklessness. It's not supposed to be a race track speeds on public roads. They're built simply for transportation but that's the selfish part of Penguin.
He speeds up through the highway, putting me in a complicated dilemma. I could feel the impatient growing inside of me as I immediately speed up the engine to hit around 268 MPH. Penguins care isn't as advance like mine, but he still takes the risk. The sound of the horns blowing from both trucks, which I immediately grab the wheel and rotates it on the left side, letting each trucks pass through. Penguin in the other hand drives right through the middle. I drive faster than usual, 301 MPH by now. The tensions builds up in the public road, leaving some of the cars to have no other option but to stop. our cars are just zipping in and out of lanes between the regular traffic. I finally reach to his car, until two trucks with oil tanks appear around Penguin. That's when he take the opportunity to push the further car in front of him, clashing both trucks together when the car upfront blocks one of the truck. The area turns chaotic. Each cars that is driving with full speeds ends in on each corner, some of them smashing against each other. One of the cars behind me hits the back of mine, pushing me further towards the truck that is almost falling apart. A fire breaks loose as the oil tanks drops on the road, not able to see Penguins car any longer from the smoke blocking my view. I groan in frustration, finding my way to the blue button I have in the mid of the gears. I tap onto it, releasing the most high amount of speeds. 505 MPH by now. That's when I catch my eyes on his car again as I skip through the smokes. I take the opportunity by now to speed as far as I can, hitting the back of his car. Penguin loses control of the vehicle, colliding to the ground as it spins drastically, throwing the vehicle on it's roof and lands upright. I stop my car beside the fire behind me, inching towards his car. I kneel over to look in the passenger seat, watching Penguins face turn into fear the moment he gets his eyes on me. I try to control my breath, leaving me out breathless almost after the incident. But I finally got him.
