《The Unexpected Sister》16•Elysian

A couple of months later, Klaus and Anna were on Klaus' balcony, painting on their own canvases while enjoying each others company in silence. Klaus has shown Anna all of his paintings and she had become so interested that he gave her lessons. Anna was a quick learner and was currently painting a portrait for her 11 year old niece, Hope. Hope had been at the Salvatore School For The Young And Gifted for the past few months but was finally coming home for her summer break. Klaus was adding the finishing touches to his painting whilst Anna admired his masterpiece from her stool. She couldn't quite tell what it was supposed to be, but she didn't really care. She was happy. And that wasn't a feeling she was familiar with.
Down on the street, a car was parking next to the compound. Hayley emerged from the front seat while young Hope Mikaelson came out the back, cluching her rucksack and books. Hayley and Hope held hands as they walked into the house.
"Are you ready to meet your niece?" Klaus placed his paint brush down on the easel and turned to look at his sister.
"Most definitely." She replied, her heart racing and her eyes beaming.
Downstairs, Hope was reuniting with her aunts and uncles. Mid-hug with Kol, Hope looked to the top of the staircase and smiled.
"Dad!" She shouted and ran across the courtyard. Klaus ran down the stairs and picked up his daughter, hugging her tight. He held her close for several moments before putting her back down on the ground and kneeling in front of her.
"Hope, love," he started. "There's someone I want you to meet."
Anna was slowly walking down the stairs, staring in awe at her niece. Hope lost eye contact with her father and looked up towards her aunt. Klaus turned round too. "This is your aunt Anna." She had made it to the bottom of the stairs and Hope started walking towards her too. Anna crouched down infront of her. She held out her hand.

"Hello, Darling. I'm Anna. I've heard alot about you." Hope ignored Annas attempt to shake her hand and sprang forward, hugging her aunt.
"Welcome to the family." Hope whispered in her ear. Anna smiled widely, holding her niece tightly in her arms while the rest of the family watched. It was a moment of elysian. Blessed, delight, heavenly. Simply, paradise.

Return of the Woodcutter
Aito Walker was a self-proclaimed martial artist, a criminal, a broken man, and a fishing slave who later became a woodcutter before dying due to his heavy consumption of alcohol. With thousands of other humans, he is forcefully revived into a boundless grey space by the gods of a foreign world, Iris, to take part in a never-ending war waged against Fearmongers. A race capable of corrupting living beings and inducing fear, even the bravest of warriors cannot resist—when the Fearmongers do not kill them, that is.To bait humans into this conflict, the gods offer the mortals powers in exchange of eternal servitude and the completion of trials before finally entering Iris.Even though Aito doesn’t agree with it, he sees in Iris a chance to atone for his past misdeeds, in this fantasy world of swords and magic filled with many races, where everything seems possible. He will pave his own path despite the gods he despises trying to manipulate him into doing their bidding.Aito will start with almost nothing but his wit, a peculiar system, and increased strength—much like other revived humans.Bearing a sin—he could not, cannot, and will not forget—haunting him to this day, Aito will strive to regain what little honor he has left.He will suffer and, at times, fail. Taking advantage of his weaknesses, the Fearmongers, demigods, gods, and many others will hinder his path. But a powerful yearning will keep him from falling apart. An ever-burning flame melting away the despair and welding back the broken pieces of courage.A single desire.«I will find redemption no matter the cost.»………Or not, hun, who knows? The book isn’t done yet. Haha—SLAP!«Who put this guy in the synopsis narration?! Get him out of here and launch the warnings! Now!»***WARNINGS:— The MC is human. If you’re looking for a perfect MC, you’ll only be wasting your time here. However, if you’re looking for an MC who will LEARN, GROW because of his flaws. An MC who will try his hardest to overcome adversity, then you’re in the right place.— No harems. However, it doesn’t mean the characters can’t fool around without having love interests. A relationship isn’t necessary for people to satisfy their physical desires.— You will find a few typos, grammatical and wording issues, that’s certain. I’ll do my best to bring you guys quality content and such issues will either be nonexistent or extremely few. However, one man can only do so much. If I get enough support, I’ll hire an EDITOR that will look at the chaps with a fresh eye. And POOF! Issues no more. Improved quality. Happier author and reader. Not sure if the editor will be happy tho.— The first three chapters are fast-paced as to quickly get into the nitty-gritty but slow down afterward to give the story the time it needs to progress accordingly.— The book can, never mind, it will contain «strong» language, gore and violence.— Comedy, as you know it (and if you don’t, now you know) is subjective. So you might not like the jokes.— If you truly read that until the end you have my virtual congratulations ‘cause I sure as hell wouldn’t have done that.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
