Chapter 6
James' P.O.V.
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO PEGGY!" I complain to my friend. She giggles and me and rolls her eyes. "Having a crush, isn't a crime JJ." She tells me. I still had the pink and blue flower Thomas had given me. Both were in a case on my desk. Peggy sat on my bed, looking amused by the situation. I was complaining to her how I had a crush on Thomas and how stupid I was.
"He's not even Gay or Bi or whatever." I groan in annoyance. Peggy rolls her eyes once again.
"That doesn't matter JJ. If you like him then that's okay." She reassures me. I sigh and flop onto my bed, my face smushing into it. I feel the bed shift, noting Peggy was not laying on her stomach.
"So what else happened last night?" She asks me. I bite my lip. Did I want to tell her that my magic was getting better? Yes. But no? I want to but I don't. She's always wanted to help get my powers to work and she might push it. I take a deep breath and face her. She looks at me, waiting for my answer.
"Okay.. my powers.. may or may not have been working last night..?" I tell her in more of a question. She takes a second to process what I said, the screeched in excitement.
"THAT'S GREAT JJ! IM SO PROUD OF YOU!" She exclaims, bringing me in a tight hug. I chuckle and hug her back.
Peggy was always like my sister. She's so sweet and we gossip to each other all the time. "So what happened? What power?" She questions me, letting me go. Her eyes filled to the brim with excitement.
"Thomas was making a black silhouette on his hand," I start and tell her what happened.
"John said he can't tell me what power I have and I need to figure it out on my own." I finish.
"Did you feel weak after, or get a headache or something?" She asks me, looking pretty amazed at what I had explained to her.
"I just felt tired. Nothing much." I tell her with a shrug. We sit in silence for a bit.
"... Can you try and control it right now?" She asks me. I shrug. I mean, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. I sigh and hold out my hand and close my eyes, trying to concentrate. I didn't know what activates it, except for that silhouette of Thomas'.
"James..." Peggy gets my attention. I opened my eyes and saw a white light swirling around in my hand. Peggy's mouth gasped open with a smile. I smile brightly and put my other hand above it, and circle my hands. I make a white orb in the center of my hands.

"Throw it, throw it, throw it!" Peggy chants making me laugh. I sit on my knees, and push my hands forward, making the orb shoot forward and hit the wall. It hits the wall with a great impact and spreads out into nothingness.
"Whoa! That was-.." Peggy starts, but is cut off my our phones going off.
"I mean, we were all saying our sexualities." I say to Peggy, while setting down my phone.
"We're going to have a party at my dads house tonight, wanna come?" She asks me suddenly. I shrug and nod. What could go wrong at a party?
Everything. That's the answer. Everything could go wrong. Thomas was driving me to the party and my nerves were getting to me. What if something goes wrong or I have an episode??
"Jemmy are you okay? You look tensed up." Thomas asks me, glancing at me quickly.
Wait.... Jemmy..?
My face felt hot now, "Yeah... I'm fine..." I lie through my teeth. He stays silent. I also was silent, just looking at my hands, in deep thought. What power do I have?
That thought lingered in my mind. Thomas has black magic that activated mine with a white silhouette. Some type of light magic? But why did it happen with that little silhouette. Like the silhouette knew what to do.
"We're here!" Thomas exclaims, parking the car in front of the Schuyler mansion. I've been here before, so I know they have a huge house. Thomas' mouth hangs open a bit in amazement, making me giggle.
"1, Dang that's a big house! And 2, your giggle is the cutest thing in the world." He tells me while opening his door. I freeze, my facing flushing. I get out of the car quickly and walk with Thomas inside the house.
Thomas' P.O.V.
Well, I'm an idiot. I just told my crush that he's cute and now my face probably looks like a tomato. I've told Lafayette I like James, but now I just made the stupid move of telling him that his giggle is cute. It is though! His laugh, the way his eyes light up when he talks about something he loves, his blush, how he gets flustered easily. Just everything!
I knock on the door, and soon Angie opens it. She smiles at us then let's us in.
"YAY! YOU'RE FINALLY HERE! PARTY GAMES TIME!!" Peggy screams, running around the massive house. I see a huge kitchen with a massive living area.
"Mon frére! Come sit! This place is huge!" Laf exclaims to me. I chuckle and walk over to where him, Hercules, and the power couple are sitting. James chases Peggy around the house.
"HOW MUCH FLIPPING CANDY DID YOU HAVE BEFORE I GOT HERE??" He exclaims while trying to catch her. All of us watch them. They are seriously like siblings.

"A LOT!! YOU CAN'T CATCH MEEEE!!" She screams back, her hair bouncing as she ran.
"You guys are such children! Calm down!" Angie screams, slightly annoyed but smiling.
"NO!" They both scream back at her in unison. We all laugh at them. James tackles Peggy to the ground and they tumble over each other. James pins her down to the ground and starts to laugh. Peggy laughing as well out of breath.
"He's so cute.." I mumble under my breath, love stick. Laf smirks at me.
"Wait... do you like-..?!" Alex starts, staring at me wide eyed, before John smacks him upside the head.
"Ouch! That wasn't necessary!" Alex exclaims, glaring at John who rolled his eyes.
"OH! JJ! Tell Eliza and Angie the good news! Or show them!" Peggy exclaims, while pushing James off of her. James chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his neck.
"I still can't control it Jem." He tells her softly, making her frown.
"Eliza is out with a friend so it doesn't matter anyway." Angie explains, while sitting down on the ground next to the couch. We all gather in a circle; Lafayette next to me, Herc next to Laf, Alex next to Herc, John next to Alex, Peggy next to John, James next to Peggy, and Angie next to James. (Sorry if that's confusing)
"OH! LET'S PLAY NEVER HAVE I EVER!!" Peggy exclaims while throwing her hands up in the air.
"The alcoholic version?" I ask with a smirk, Lafayette hitting my arm in return. I chuckle and roll my eyes.
"Okay! I'll go first, then James will go, and so on. If you've done what the person has said, you have to do what they dare you to do." Peggy explains to us, sitting on her knees.
"Never have I ever kissed a boy that wasn't related to me." She says with a smirk. Well, I just got out of that one. I've only kissed girls, and all of them were greedy kisses.
"Whoever has done it, you have to tell us who you kissed!" Peggy replies. I see Lafayette, Herc, Alex, and John's faces go flushed.
"John" Alex replies
"Alex" John says in a whisper.
"I-I u-umm..." Lafayette stutters. Wait... has he..?
"WHEN DID YOU KISS SOMEONE AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME??" I yell, realizing why he was struggling.
"I've kissed Hercules okay?" He yells back, clamping his hand over his mouth soon after. Both Herc's and Laf's faces flush a bright red. I laugh and everyone soon joins.
"Alright JJ, your turn." Peggy says, calming down from her laughter.
"Never have I ever..." he stops to think, then smirks.
"Never have I ever been to France." He says, earning a groan of annoyance from almost everyone in the room. (Hercules, John, and James haven't been)
"Everyone who has, take turns showing off powers!" He exclaims, his eyes lighting up.
"How am I supposed to do that?" Peggy asks, confused. James just shrugs.
Angie goes first, "Now ya see me," she starts, then goes invisible. We all hear her footsteps walk around us. "Now ya don't." She finishes. She appears behind Alex, making him jump. Angie wipes
"Guess I'll go.." Alex says with a sigh.
"Jefferson..." he grumbles, "You have permission to piss me off." He says, crossing his arms.
"That'll be easy." James comments, making everyone laugh.
That was already enough to set Alex off.
Red tears pour down his eyes. He rolls his eyes, and wipes some from his face, now onto his hand. He goes towards a nearby plant, and places the red tears on it. One of the plant leaves turns black and falls off of it. We all clap.
"James, do you still have that bruise on your neck from when Reynolds hurt you?" Laf asks suddenly. James rubs the back of his neck and nods. Laf walks over to him, and a pink lightning bolt comes from his hand, onto James neck. Without warning. James flinches and touches his neck.
"There." Lafayette says, looking happy with himself.
"You could've warned him." I grumble.
"W-what did you do?" He asks Laf, touching his neck.
Laf gets out his phone and puts the camera on James, showing the bruise was gone. James smiles brightly and thanks him. Lafayette nods, wiping the blood from his ears.
"Welp..." I say and everyone turns to me. I hold out my hand and vines come up, stopping at a certain height. Black vines. It always haunted me. Why not green vines or something more peaceful? I don't like the color black because of it. I retract my vines and sigh...
"Let's move on!" Peggy exclaims, sitting back down.
We play for a little while longer, until we got bored of it.
"Truth or Dare!" Angie suddenly yells out. Everyone agrees except for James and I.
"Party poopers." Peggy huffs.
"Last time you made me eat a raw egg." Jemmy complains, crossing his arms. Peggy just rolls her eyes.
"What about dirty truth or dare." Laf suggests, halfway joking with a smirk.
. . .
No one argues or says no to that...
"DIRTY TRUTH OR DARE IT IS!!" Peggy screams out.
This should be fun....

Gaslgiht
There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

The Intelligent Ogre (Dropped for remake)
This novel is having a remake I will have it up soon. I decided to have a remake because when I read my story again it felt like I tried too hard to make it understandable (low English level) for all yet it just looked bad. So, I decided to start over and add a new beginning, characters descriptions, etc. Even the plot and system I made was changed. I hope to see you there.
