“Shit! I can't find my pink chunni! I kept it just here!” Meera di squealed.

"Pink? Like.... Periwinkle pink?" I asked.

"Haa, Haa!" She nodded impatiently, "the same. Dekha tune?"

I nodded in yes.

"Kaha hai?"

"I think woh Sanam lekar Gaya hai." I answered hesitantly.

"Sanam?!" She scrunched her eyebrows together. "Woh Kyu lega Meri chunni?"

"Because it was looking like a curtain." I mumbled.

"What?" She narrowed her eyes asking, "what did you say?"

"Uhm... Uh.. aa... I.. I said that SANAMTOOKIT!" I stammered but ended like a bullet train, "Sanam took it thinking it's that.. that pink scarf! Pink scarf that they are supposed to wear today!"

Her eyes grew wide open, "That idiot mistook my designer chunni as scarf?! Seriously!" She almost shouted, "Go and get it from him!" She pointed the door, "Go!"

"Main?" I pointed myself.

"Aur kaun?!" She barked.

"But woh toh abhi Samar and baaki cousins k saath..." I dropped my sentence in between as she was standing there, glaring at me. "Acha, jaati hu." I said leaving the room.

"Hadh hoti hai! In bhai-beheno ke beech Meri hi band bajni hai! Ab yeh Sanam kaha hai?" I was muttering to myself, making my way towards where all guys were chilling.

There he is! Laughing about I don't know what with his group!

I called him on his number and watched him taking out his cellphone. He looked at screen once- I was waiting for him to answer the call but instead, he declined it!

How mean! Abhi batati hu!

I stomped at his direction, dialing the number once again. He did the same thing that he did earlier.

"To busy to answer your phone, Mr. Puri?" I called out reaching to him.

"Uh... Warisha?" He smiled cheekily.

I flashed my fake smile while his gang muffled their Chuckle.

"Excuse me guys." Sanam smiled walking away from them. "I was about to return your call."

"Shut up, Sanam." I said dryly.

"Array sacchi baba. Trust me." He made puppy face which trust me, was hard to ignore but I did my best!

"Stop lying! And give me this scarf!" I tried to take it from him but he stepped back.

"What are you doing? Why do you want my scarf?" He asked confusedly.

"This isn't your scarf!" I whined. "Yeh Meera ki chunni hai!"

"Hain?" He made his signature 'Hain' face- "yeh uski chunni hai? Itni...." He said eyeing his... Meera's chunni, "plain?"

I shrugged, "Yahi hai."

Before Sanam could give me that scarf, his glowing face turned yellow when Sahil rubbed the haldi paste on him from back. My eyes grew wide as saucer and jaw hung open! Sanam and haldi?! Oh EM GEE!

"Abey! Kaun hai?!" Sanam tried to stop him but no use.

I was so shocked from it that I didn't have any expression other than what I stated above.

"Tere khudke Bhai ki haldi hai aur tu itne safai k saath ghum Raha hai... Not fair!" Sahil said with a huge grin and I finally left out a chuckle.

Sahil was having a good laugh colouring his brother yellow! Sanam had his eyes closed and taking my chance I took some paste from the tray that someone was taking towards the bride's side. I was reaching out to apply that paste on Sanam but before I could do that, Sahil smirked at me leaving Sanam, who now opened his eyes which quickly narrowed seeing what I was about to do.

"Warisha..." He said my name sternly.

I smiled sweetly, "Sanam."

"What are you up to?" He raised his eyebrows questioningly and behind his back, the culprit Sahil waved me bye, tip toeing backwards and then vanishing in the crowd.

You're are so gone, Sahil!

"Hello..?" Sanam clicked his fingers in front of me and I slowly brought my hands down that was planning to do some mischief.

"Hi.." I continued my sweet tone.

"Kya Karne wali thi tum?" He asked taking a slow step towards me as I stepped back saying, "kuch nahi."

"Kuch nahi..?" He continued his walk and so did I, shaking my head in no, "Kuch nahi."

"Hmm..?" He smirked and I turned running away from him, "Kuch bhi nahi na!" And he followed me behind.

We were running like Tom and Jerry in a place full of people with wedding function going on!

"Warisha! I'll catch you and it won't be good for you then!" He warned.

"Why are you chasing me? Maine kuch Kiya bhi nahi, I swear!" I whined, running.

"You exactly know what you did; you were laughing at me!"

"I wasn't!!! Woh to Sahil tha! He is the real culprit jisne tumpe haldi lagayi!"

Wait? Why am I running away from him when Sanam should be the one as I have haldi on my hands and he doesn't.

By the time I realized this, I ran all the way and now was almost at the end of the ground.

I stopped taking in deep breath and asked him gasping, "why am I running away from you?"

He stopped, too but he was just normal! Not a hint of tiredness! His vegan diet I tell you!

"Because I'll give the same faith as mine! Paint in YELLOW!" He enlightened me with such charming smile.

I chuckled. "How? Tumhare pass to haldi bhi nahi. You can't!" I flipped my hair doing the winning dance inside my head.

Aur main Aise hi isse bhaag Rahi thi! I felt silly.

"I don't need any." He said in a slow voice and my mind that was doing the winning dance suddenly froze when he pulled me to himself, encircling his arms around my waist.

I gasped in surprise as my palms involuntarily rested on his shoulder and I looked up into his eyes and he had this warm smile playing on his lips and made me smile as well or maybe blush, too.

"Hmm... I had this plan of turning you yellow but here you are, all red... As always." He teased.

I smiled shyly, knowing that he was right. "Sanam, lemme go!" I requested.

"Uh huh.." he shook his his softly. "Not before I paint you in my colour."

I scrunched my eyebrows, "how will you do that? Tumhare pass haldi hai hi nahi!" I reminded him again.

Looking into my eyes, in a husky voice he said, "and how many times I have to tell you that I don't need any?"

Before I could get over the effect of that voice, he rubbed his cheek against mine, i.e, putting the same paste on me from his face. My eyes closed on its own when I felt the warmth of his skin again mine and corner of lips carved into a smile as he did same with other side, my grip on his shoulder tightened.

I still had my eyes closed but could still feel his gaze on my face as he said, "Told you- I don't need any." And his voice said he had a smile on his face and the tone saying that he was enjoying seeing the after effects on me!

He removed his one hand from my waist and I opened my eyes, looking at him when I felt his fingers brushing of the hair from my face and tucking it behind my ear. He slightly rested his forehead against mine and in soft, slow voice he sang, "mere rang mein rangne wali." He wiggled his eyebrows and I smiled lowering my gaze and pushing him away, "Lemme go!"

He was smiling at me as I made my way away from him and towards the haldi ceremony spot.

I reached there and saw that Samar was there in his all white Kurta look, his long curly hair combed back neatly but a few strand of hair that was gelled perfectly giving it wet look were falling on his forehead and that one silver earring that he wears always was taking his looks to some other level!

"Oh good! I'm crushing over the groom!" I facepalmed muttering this to myself but my sentence was continued by someone else who was none other than Sanam, who said- "who happens to be brother of the person who is your boyfriend and that boyfriend happens to be me." He flashed the smile that clearly said he was jealous.

I suppressed the smile that was finding it's way on lips cause Sanam was looking so damn cute while trying to hide his jealousy.

He always had this complain that I do favouritism between them. It never mattered what the subject was but the result always had Samar as the winner from my perspective. That I found him better at everything! But it was the truth! Samar is indeed the better one! He's more mature, sensible, calm, polite and.... even good looking compared to Sanam.

"Done making the mental note of the things in which Samar is better than me?" He asked me.

I frowned looking at him, "Will you ever stop reading my mind?"

"You mean stop doing the only thing in which I am better than Samar?" He looked at me and smile saying, "No."

I left out a chuckle shaking my head. "You're being jealous and that's cute." I pinched his nose.

"I'm not jealous!" He stated rolling his eyes and slapping my hand away.

"Ouch!" I whined faking to be hurt and pulling a pouty face.

"Sanam!" Aunty called out, "waha Kya khada hai?! Yaha aa aur apne Bhai haldi laga!"

"Ji, mummy." Sanam grinned making his way there and as he neared to them Aunty asked, "Haldi to abhi start Hui. Tu kaha se sarso'n ka khet banke aaraha hai?"

Sanam was rubbing back of his neck as he sat in front of Samar, "Mummy... Yeh Sahil ka kaam hai."

"Array Mummy, ise to har kaam mujhse pehle karna hota hai na.. dekho aaj mujhse pehle hi dulha bane ghum Raha hai jaise is ki haldi ho." Samar joked and everyone laughed.

"Haa Bhai, Teri Shaadi mein main apna kaam karlunga, theek hai?" Sanam chuckled putting some haldi paste on Samar's cheeks.

"You better do that. Mujhe bhi to mauka mile tujhe ganda Karne ka." Samar did same with him.

Awww... How adorable these two brothers are.

"Kise ki Nazar late tum dono ko." Aunty smiled taking their balayi and they posed for the picture accompanied my Keshu and Venky.

"Shorty! Tu bhi aana!" KD called for me.

"Tu Kya khadi hai waha? Alag se nyota du tujhe?" Aunty glared.

"Nahi na, aunty." I said slyly, "aati hu main bhi."

"Aunty... Aapne mere dost ko sarso'n ka khet bana Diya aur isse nahi puchoge Kyu dirty fellow Hui hai?" Keshav said in teasing tone and I wanted to punch him at that moment.

Aunty suppressed her smile looking at us, "Tu kaha se pili hokar aayi?" She asked me as I stood beside Sanam and Venky with Keshu

were on other side of Samar.

"Mere Bina group picture?!" Sahil shouted getting in the frame, keeping his arm over my shoulder and intentionally pushing me on Sanam. "Aur Camare wale bhaiya, haldi k scene mein na yeh song zaroorat daalna.. kaunsa song hai woh.." he had this fake expression of recalling something and then with a huge green he sang while posing and keeping his head on my shoulder, "Mere rang mein rangne wali.."

Both Sanam and I glared at him and I jerked my shoulder away from him and Keshav from other side added, "Aur bhaiya... Ladki ki haldi mein yeh line daalna... Tere hi rang mein haan main to rangi Hoon Sanam." With his cheeky smile and Sanam & my glare shifted from Sahil to Keshu and rest of the bunch we laughing silently and Samar was clearly enjoying this more than his own wedding function!

"Hogaya pictures. Main di ke side jaati hu." I said running away from them and heard everyone laughing behind me.
