《My Arranged Shaadi (Complete)》Chapter- 19 Revealing Pasts

I hated how that woman disrespected Nishtha and her work. I shouldn't have allowed her to step in our house in the first place.
This so called badi bua ji was so orthodox that she was against men entering the kitchen. Therefore, Nishtha insisted on making the dinner herself. After a while, the whole house was filled with the aroma of the food she had made.
She properly set the dining table and then called badi bua ji for dinner.
"Nishtha, you also sit with us." I said as I saw that she wasn't serving her own plate.
"Paras, women of the house don't eat along with their husbands. They first feed the men and elders, then only eat anything." I was about to protest when Nishtha stopped me. I guess she didn't want any drama at the dining table.
"Just 5 items? Is this how you serve a guest when they come to your house for the first time?!" That woman roared. What the fuck ? According to me, 5 dishes are more than enough. She had prepared dal, rice, roti, potato sabji and kheer. And this oldie wanted more.
Before I could say something, Nishtha said something which shut that woman up.
"Badi bua ji, I have poured all my love in these 5 dishes. I am not as talented as you to cook many dishes with complete perfection, therefore I decided to cook less but tasty dishes. Besides, you're not a guest, you're family. Right?" She said really diplomatically. If 'sweet slap' was a term then this was a live demo of it.
That woman wanted to criticize the food made by her, it was visible by her expressions. But she couldn't as she knew it wasn't SAFE for her to say more bitter things.
After she was done, she left her plate on the table itself, washed her hands and went to sleep. What an ill mannered lady. Nishtha started to clean the table when I stopped her.
"Let me do it, you rest now. I'll bring a plate for you." I said and she gave a genuine smile. I served her and sat by her all along while she was eating just in case she needed something.

After she was done, we cleaned up the table and went to sleep.
Sleep was far away from me and I was staring at the ceiling. I turned to see Nishtha who wasn't asleep either. She saw me and chuckled.
"May I ask you something?" She asked.
"Sure." I said looking right into her eyes.
"It's alright if you don't wanna answer..." She said awkwardly.
"Just ask Nishtha." I said. I somehow felt she wanted to ask about Anahita.
"Well, what's up with you and that Anahita Seth?" She finally asked. Yeah, I was right.
"Well she's my ex..." I began.
"Yeah I know, just tell the story." She said with curiosity dripping from her voice.
"Yeah yeah... Well..." I started.
"A few years ago, I met this girl at a business party. I found her really attractive. I was unknowingly staring at her. She looked at me and chuckled. Then she waved at me and I waved back.
We walked towards each other and I initiated a conversation. Both of us were getting bored at that party anyways. We were walking around the park, we talked about our lives and then even exchanged numbers.
I came to know that she didn't belong to a rich family unlike me. She had come there with a friend.
My parents didn't know about our relationship. They never approved of any of my relationships, now we know the reason why.
But still we kept dating. I always bought her amazing presents. I always thought of marrying her and having a great life with her.
One day she came to my office. We all were frustrated that time as there was a sudden powercut. Even the generator wasn't working. I asked her to wait in my cabin and that was probably the biggest mistake of my life.
After the power was back, I went to my cabin, she wasn't there. I asked the people from my office about her whereabouts. Everyone told me that she left. I thought she got angry that I couldn't meet her, so I went to her house.
The door was slightly open. I went inside and the sight that I saw completely broke me. She was with someone... and that someone was sucking her neck seductively and she was moaning in pleasure. Both of them seemed really desperate, that's why they didn't even bother to close the door.

I shouted her name and both of them turned to face me. I knew that man. He was Vineet Verma, the son of the owner of Verma Associates.
" Paras I'm sorry...." She gave me a fake apology. I was numb. I couldn't move, I was frozen at my place.
"You bitch! Stay away from me from now on!" I shouted and went out of her apartment, banging the door on their faces. I could beat that guy up, but I was too depressed to do anything like that.
I rushed to my office and decided to work to distract myself. But I saw that all the important documents from the computer were deleted. I was devastated. Then I realized, it was a damn clever plan. She was his girlfriend all along, she fooled me to get those documents. That power cut and all, was part of the plan too.
The next day, Verma Associates announced the launch of a cosmetic series in a few months. That was the cosmetic series we were going to launch after some months. She didn't just delete the documents, she stole the information.
My father was really upset and he stopped talking to me properly from that day onwards. We filed a complaint against them. We even won the case. Vineet Verma got arrested. But Anahita Seth got away as she pretended to be naive and blamed Vineet for sexual assault and blackmailing her into stealing the information from my office.
I stopped believing in love since then."
I told her the whole story and she immediately hugged me and I hugged her back. I was really desperate to change the topic.
"So what about your past?" I asked.
I was shocked after hearing all that. I got the answers to all of my questions. He loved her unconditionally and she cheated on him in the worst way possible.
I hugged him really tightly as I felt he really needed it and he did.
"So what about your past?" He asked changing the topic.
"Well... remember Akshay Dixit? Our business partner." I said.
"Yeah.. I do." He said.
"Well he is my ex." And he was like he wasn't shocked at all. He gave me the 'I knew it' look.
"Yeah, I figured that out on the day of that merger meeting only. You people were giving each other awkward glances. Anyways, tell me the story." He said.
"Well, we were a great couple and then his parents forced him to marry a girl for the sake of their business... just like us." Oops. Paras had a hurt expression on his face.
"We were forced to marry each other, but now we're happy. That's the only thing that matters." I said and gave a sweet smile and he hugged me really tightly.
And then we slept peacefully in each other's arms.
The next day...
Finally that witch left! And we had a whole day to ourselves as it was sunday !!!!
"Nishu... we have to go a party in the evening today." Paras said. Yeah, he had started calling me Nishu as I had finally given him the permission to do so.
"Alright." I said.
Ughhh, but that day I had to urgently go to a hotel for an urgent meeting as those people were going to leave for Russia tonight. Therefore, I told Paras to leave fir the party and I would join him later.
I was really tired when I returned home. But I had to anyhow go to the party. So I freshened up and wore a saree as it would be appropriate as I was newly married.
Then I did my hair and make up and was quite satisfied by my look. I wonder what Paras would think after seeing this avatar of mine.
