《Rock With Me (Michael Jackson X FemReader)》A Night Out

"Hey Peaches, what's taking so long?" Michael jokingly yelled.
"Hey! Give a girl time, I had to put my jewelry on!" You retorted walking through the living room and heading towards the door. You and Michael had planned on going to a fancy restaurant for dinner, you insisted that he take a break from the studio, because he has been in there day and night working on his new album.
He has been having trouble with it though, always saying it doesn't sound right or something is missing. You swore that boy was such a perfectionist.
You headed out the door and hopped in the car. It was silent for a while until you finally decided to turn the radio on. Surprise, surprise, Michael was playing.
You guessed that you forgot to change the cassette before he showed up. You kind of get embarrassed because he doesn't know how obsessed you really are with him.
He has no idea about your posters, magazines, or anything really for that matter. Other than the fact that you can dance like him because he sees you dance all the time.
But you really don't want him to know that you had so many collectibles. You didn't know if he would find it creepy or that you're just a proud girlfriend.
You laughed when you heard it playing, "Oops forgot that was still in here, sorry, hehe."
"Oh that's OK, I know how much you love that album, I just hope my next one you will like just as much, or more," he smiled.
"Babe, I will always love your music no matter what, OK? Now let's not talk about that because you worry about that enough already. Let's just have a good time and forget about the album, OK?"

"Alright, I'll stop thinking about it," he looked at you, "I'll just think about you more," he said smiling.
You smiled then looked the other way because you felt your cheeks getting warm.
"Awe is someone embarrassed?" he asked in baby voice.
"Hey stop it, that's not funny," You pouted.
He started laughing, "You always know how to make me laugh."
You looked at him, "Well I have been your best friend for years, and I am now your girlfriend, which makes us even closer. So of course I would know how to make you laugh."
You soon pulled up at the restaurant. Once inside, you got seated and started looking at the menus. You were looking at the menu with a confused look on your face and apparently Michael noticed.
"Something wrong?" he asked.
"Well, its just.. I have no clue what any of this means! The menu is so fancy its unreadable."
He laughed, "Well I can help, I have been here before. Why don't you just get the chicken Parmesan? I know that you love that."
"Well alright, but how much does it cost?"
"It doesn't matter how much it costs, I want you to be happy," he smiled sweetly.
"Awe, okay, I know if I argue I won't win so I'll just give in," You giggled.
"Smart girl, I knew I did good picking you for many reasons," he winked at you, you shook your head at him smiling.
You ordered and when your food arrived it went silent. But that is a good sign for a restaurant you guessed. You begged Michael to let you help with the bill since you got a peak at it, which was through the roof, but he insisted.

You decided to go for a walk at the park, when you got there you started walking side by side as the dim light of the moon lit your way.
It was cool out and you weren't dressed very warm. Michael put his jacket over your shoulders; you intertwined your fingers with his and smiled up at him. He smiled back at you; you didn't have to say anything, just the gestures that you did for each other let you both know how you felt.
All of the sudden you heard a rustling from the bushes, making you stop in your tracks. You got scared at first thinking maybe it was a crook or something dangerous. Michael's grip on you tightened as he waited for someone or something to pop out.
To your relief a little kitten came bouncing out from under the bush, little mews coming from its tiny mouth as it looked up at you and Michael.
"A baby!! Oh, babe can we keep it, can we keep it? Pleeaassee??" You turned to Michael with big pouty lips and eyes, hands clasped together.
Michael chuckled with a sigh, "Of course we can, go ahead and pick them up."
You squealed with excitement and slowly approached the kitten, trying to not scare it off, "Hey cutie! What are you doing all alone out here?"
You managed to pick it up as it purred in your arms, you could see it shivering, "Aw, he's cold. We should get him back to one of our places so we can clean him up and put him in a nice warm bed."
"What do you want to name him?" Michael asked as he gently pet the kitten with a finger.
"Hmmm... How about Peanut?"
"Peanut it is! Lets get this little guy home."
You huddled together and walked back to the car, to go home and spent a quiet night with the new edition.

Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
