You woke up to find yourself in the time machine. You peaked out the small window to see your best friend, their parents, and your parents over at your project. Everyone else was at the science fair just like before.

You forced through the door and ran to your best friend, "Oh! BF/N! I missed you so so much!!" You squeezed them.

They hugged you, confused, "What do you mean? You were only gone for 30 minutes...."

You looked at them, "Only 30 minutes? That's insane..."

"What are you talking about?" They became very confused.

"That time machine works. He threw me in it, and I went back in time!" You squealed.

They smiled widely, "Wow! What did you see? Who did you meet?! Tell me!"

You grew sad suddenly, "Um... I'd rather not talk about it... Let's just continue with the project.."

They gave you a worried expression, "Uh OK then... You sure you're OK?"

"I'm fine..." You put on a fake smile and went to hug your parents.

You ended up winning first place for the science fair with your robot and had a celebration party after the victory. You were real proud of yourselves and rubbed it in Charles' face that you won. Though secretly you were shocked, considering he had a working time machine. Unless it ended up malfunctioning when the judges came around. That's how karma works though. You thought.

Four Months Later, Day Of CD Signing

Lately your best friend had been worried about you because you hadn't been talking about MJ much or been excited about the CD signing going on today. They keeps asking you what's wrong, but you would never talk.

You were in the passenger seat staring out the window while they drove. It was silent for awhile until they turned the radio on.

The Way You Make Me Feel blared through the speakers; you quickly changed the channel. The next station was playing Rock With You. You huffed and changed it again; Billie Jean. Again, Remember The Time. Soon you cut the whole thing off and stared out of the window again.

"Y/N, what is with you? You have been like anti-MJ ever since the science fair," Your best friend looked over at you.

"It's nothing, just pay attention to the road," You told them lowly.

"You know that you can talk to me about anything."

"I know... I just don't want to talk about what happened back in time, k?"

They sighed, "Alright.. Maybe seeing MJ will cheer you up."
