《Devil in My Heart》Braveheart

Ryan fell from a high cliff and plunged into the sea. The palace of the ruler of the sea that was there also shook.
"Guards. What's going on?"
"There is a human who fell into our territory, prince."
"Surprisingly, why is the palace shaking?" muttered the dragon son.
"It would be troublesome if he died in here. I'll go see him. Show me the way."
"Am I going to drown? I can't swim... I'm afraid... I'm afraid of the dark." Ryan closed his eyes because of the discomfort in his eyes as well as his fear.
"It feels suffocating and cold. Maybe this is the end of my life. I don't want to think much anymore. This fear is greater than dealing with the asuras before." He muttered inwardly.
In that situation, he remembered when he entered the lake and fought the monsters. Then he recalled the devil woods and his encounter with the little fox, the dream of the mountain god, and Lucien. He remembers everything!
"Lucien... I remember it. But is my life going to end here?"
Not long after, he fainted. Then came a blue dragon that surrounded Ryan and formed a whirlpool. The son of the dragon changed his form like a human in general, but his lower body from the waist was like a dragon's tail which was still around Ryan's body. He embraced Ryan with his left hand and then leaned closer to the face that looked like he was sleeping. With his slender right finger, the dragon lifted the human's chin, and
The dragon man smiled. Not long after that, a shadow appeared from the surface where Lucien jumped to help Ryan. Because of the light earlier, Lucien noticed it and immediately went there. The dragon then walked away from them, diving back into the dragon palace without being seen by Lucien.
Lucien found Ryan and swam towards the surface. Finally, they came out of the sea. Lucien lifted Ryan's body in both hands and left footprints on the fine white sand. He laid Ryan who was still unconscious.

Lucien was worried seeing him hadn't woken up, "Ryan!! Ryan!! Come on, wake up!!" He tried to wake him up. Since he didn't wake up, Lucien was about to give CPR, but Ryan suddenly choked and slowly opened his eyes. In such a daze, he saw Lucien by his side and asked, "Lucien??? Is this figure in front of me Lucien?"

Lucien nodded. Then Ryan hugged him while shedding tears.
I want to linger like this," thought Ryan. Lucien was surprised. At first, he hesitated, but eventually, he returned to hug gently and lovingly.
It crossed Ryan's mind and then he pulled himself up saying "I'm not dead yet?"
Lucien breathed a sigh of relief when he was awake. "Not yet," Lucien replied with a smile.
Then Ryan burst into tears with emotion, "Lucien, it's me, Ryan!
"Yeah, I know you Ryan, what's wrong?"
"Not. I mean we met earlier in the devil woods. Right!! It's you at that time. I can't believe we'll meet again," Ryan said as he caressed his cheek.
"I don't know what you say."
Ryan gasped.
"What?? You didn't remember? We've known each other before. But something happened..."
"What happened??"
"I didn't know after that. We forget each other. But I already remember you." Ryan said with enthusiasm.
Lucien was silent for a moment before finally speaking, "Sorry, I can't remember..."
Ryan smiled and said, "It's okay. What matters is that I can see you again."

Leander, who was less badly injured, returned with Leona to the castle and told him what had happened. Tyrone was furious when he was told about it. And at that moment, another devil came in and delivered the news.
"Your Majesty, the troops from the kingdom are crossing the border."
"What about the numbers?"
"Just a small army of about 100 people."
"Aha... What a coincidence. Take out our troops and attack them!!!"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"You all join the others," Tyrone said to Leander and Leona.
"Well, Yor Majesty."
Ryan and Lucien were both at the seashore. Lucien said, "Your dress is wet. You can get cold later."
"Oh... Yeah. I didn't even think about it." In my mind.
"Oh, this. It doesn't matter to me. I'm strong. In the past, I usually soak in the river where near my treehouse. He-he..." I speak to him while showing my arms. Despite the fact, that my arm muscles are not visible.
"Even with this dress, it's uncomfortable to be wet like this," In my mind.
Lucien came closer and saw me. I thought, "No way to undress here, it's a shame!
Lucien stands behind me and put his palm on my back. I felt the warmth and soon my dress was dry, though not completely dry.

"Wow... It turns out that you can do this?" I speak.
"That's how it is, I can release heat energy."
After that he walked forward and looked at my face closely, "Is there a sore spot?"
"Ah... That... I didn't notice it. Just meaningless sores and wounds."
He was still looking at me and put his fingers on my cheekbones and forehead.
"In the future, you should be more careful," he said.
My heart is pounding. At first, I didn't dare to look at his face up close because I'm embarrassed. But finally, I saw his face. Look at his clear red eyes and charming lips. For a moment I was fascinated by him. Then he looked into my eyes and we looked at each other. I didn't want to take my eyes off him.
"Am I being hypnotized? No. It's from my heart." I thought.
I felt Lucien's fingers touch the back of my head. He drew closer. His eyes fell on my lips. Instead of rejecting him, I was attracted by his charm. Slowly I closed my eyes and said to myself, "Are we going to kiss? Ah..." My left hand touched Lucien's chest gently up to his left shoulder.
In Lucien's mind,
However, before Lucien landed the kiss, he opened his eyes and slowly pulled away. He noticed the power of the asuras that were gathering and said to Ryan, "We have to get out of here."
Hearing Lucien's words, I opened my eyes and said to myself, "Hah???"
"What happened?" I asked.
"There is a movement of the asuras as a group. Something might happen."
Then he lifted me in his strong arms and flew up.
At that time the royal troops drove and saw the forest in front of them. But the asura army seemed to be waiting. They gathered and guarded the border into their territory. They can also change their form into wild animals too. Claes and his troops also pulled the reins to stop the horse's steps.
"Did you already know the risk of coming to our territory?" Leona asked.
Claes was silent for a moment. The wide field will be their battleground. The troops were afraid and felt desperate after seeing their enemy.
"What will happen? We'll die here," said the warrior.
Prince Claes was not worried about himself, but he was more worried about his troops because every life was precious without exception. Who would have thought that their arrival would be welcomed? Looking at the numbers it is impossible to win. Claes was silent, until he finally spoke, "We want to bring back the royal princess you caught."
"Aha... If you want it, just attack us if you can," challenged Leander.
"We don't want this fight. Because war only hurts both sides," replied the prince.
"Hmmm... Looks like the disadvantaged position is on your side, Sir. In terms of strength." Leona said.
"Tch... They underestimated us," whispered the soldier.
If it backed down, it would be a shame. It might be the best option for safety, but there was no guarantee that they would release the royal army. Claes continued to think until he heard a tone of encouragement from Taddeus, "O warriors, we chose the path as soldiers and we certainly know the risks behind it, but when we are appointed as soldiers, we feel proud, because we can sacrifice ourselves for the safety of this kingdom."
Claes turned and smiled at Taddeus as if he could read his mind. Taddeus nodded at Claes.
"Perhaps Taddeus agrees too, if we back, it is not a guarantee of our safety. Because they previously came to attack suddenly into the kingdom. Especially with the current conditions, they seem ready to fight. Asura troops are already against to royal army. If you see the prey in front, will you just let it go?" That's what Claes thought.
The doubts and confusion that enveloped the prince disappeared as soon as he heard Taddeus' words. Also, the fear that the previous soldier felt was replaced by enthusiasm and courage.
"Warriors, the courage of a leader is required in battle, but our strength depends on the troops. For those who are not pleased, please withdraw and go back," asked the prince as he turned back to look at his warriors.
They looked and reassured each other, "Yeah. We're ready!!!" shouted the soldiers without any hesitation.
The prince smiled and turned to the front, "Then give me your strength."
He screamed while raising his sword. They go forward with great courage.

But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
