《Devil in My Heart》Asuras vs Royal Army
Advertisement
As Ryan and Lucien were on their way in the air towards the battleground, Ryan asked, "What happened?"
"I feel asura energy is gathering. Looks like there will be a fight there."
Ryan also realized. "Could it be the royal army come here? If so, we should head over there and stop the fight."
"Yes," Lucien replied.
******
The soldiers moved swiftly. Even though their size is large, it doesn't mean the soldiers are weak. They cooperate. When he saw his friend in trouble, the soldier would help his friend. Their attacks also injure the asuras. Same as with soldiers, of course, they are injured.
"Yuhuuuu... We meet again," Leander said to Taddeus as their gazes and swords met each other. Taddeus looked at him seriously as he said, "I won't let you get away this time."
Meanwhile, Leona was flying spinning around in the air where her target was Claes. She swung her sword from above. Claes was already prepared with the sword in his hand, then block Leona's attack and at the same time give her a counterattack so Leona was thrown backward. The female asura stuck her sword in the ground and then stood up, drew back her sword while pointing at the prince, "You do it well. However, be prepared." Leona glided forward on her wings with fast motion, and they parried each other. The power is almost equal between them.
Then Claes pulled his horse so that the front leg of the horse kicked Leona. And then, the asura was thrown away again but before that, Leona had left a small scratch that was clearly visible on Claes' face because of his white skin. Claes got off his horse and ran to Leona who was sitting on the ground. Leona quickly stood up and flew backward.
The prince had avoided it by rolling to the ground. Just as he was about to stand up, an arrow shot toward Claes. It turned out that while in the air,
"Argh!!!" shouted Claes.
Taddeus, who occasionally checked Claes' condition, saw that the prince was injured, then shouted, "Prince!!!"
"Your enemy is here," said Lean.
Claes drew the arrow stuck at him. But the giant's attack wasn't finished. The prince now realized there was a big shadow. He looked up. It turned out that a giant asura who had been holding a hammer intended to launch his attack again.

The prince rolled his body on the ground to avoid the attack, and then immediately got up. Then through his stamping on the ground,
, therefore he didn't have the intention to stab and kill an asura. The slash was enough to make the asura faint for a moment.
Standing on the asura's massive body, the prince remembered the flying asura, who was Leona. He was also wary of attacks that might arrive. And as predicted, Leona launched a second attack where she was behind Claes.
"She's not in my line of sight, which means she's behind," mumbled Claes. Claes immediately turned around and swung his sword from the ground up with the right timing, the arrow was thrown. If an ordinary arrow is already broken.
"What?" Leona said.
Claes jumped down from the body of the huge asura. He concentrates on her movements. Before Leona could strike again, Claes deftly took the arrow on his back, shot, and hit Leona's wings until she fell.
"Leona!!!!" Leander shouted.
Taddeus smiled. "Where do you want to go?"
"Tch." Then Leander unleashed his magic power with fire marks spreading over part of his body so that Taddeus was blown away. His strong foot pressure cracked the ground. At that time, he intended to attack Claes with his claws. He pounced on Claes from the side. Claes noticed it and was on guard with the defense through the swords in both hands to withstand the strike. However, Lean is powerful, so he made Claes fall while still holding Leander's hand through his sword.
"Strong pressure. "I'm almost at my limit," Claes said inwardly.
Lean with his eyes showing anger was trying to suppress Claes. Just then, Taddeus woke up and ran towards them. With his left hand, Lean took out a sword from his right waist. Before Taddeus could hit him, Leander swung his sword horizontally. Because his strength was great, only a single swing made the wind so that Taddeus was blown away. The wind he created is like an incision. Taddeus covered his face with his arms before finally his head hit on the ground.
"Taddeus!" Claes shouted. Claes took the gap and hit Leander in the face but in vain.
"Do you think this little attack of yours can hurt me? It even tickles like an ant," Finally Lean intended to stab the prince using the sword in his left hand.

"Oh no..." said Taddeus defenseless.
The prince was shocked.
At such a crucial moment, an arrow shot through Lean's wrist and he automatically dropped his sword.
"Argh!!! Who is that?!!" Leander shouted.
"I..."

Arriving there, Ryan saw fighting everywhere and many were injured, "Oh no... This shouldn't have happened." He muttered.
Then Ryan thought of prince Claes.
"Is he here? I hope he isn't here."
Ryan also feels a strong energy pressure when Lean blows Taddeus away with a single swing of his sword.
"Who is that?!!"
They turned around. The prince smiled and immediately pushed Lean who get wound.
"Perfect moment," Taddeus said before he finally fainted.
Claes immediately headed towards Ryan happily. "Ryan, we finally meet again."
Ryan nodded his head while smiling.
"Thank you. You saved me once again," Claes said.
"Yes. Claes."
"Look at the scratches on your face. Are you all right? What happened while you were alone?"
Ryan shook his head with a faint smile, "It's okay, Claes. The important thing is you're safe."
"Then let's go home together after this," Claes pulled Ryan's hand.
"Wait a minute. I won't let Ryan go again," Lucien said while pulling his right wrist.
"Lucien......?" said Ryan.
"What do you mean you can't?" asked Claes.
"I will take Ryan to my castle," Lucien replied.
Claes gasped, "I'm not letting go of Ryan." He is pulling Ryan's wrist. "I can't imagine Ryan being there. He will return to the kingdom after all," replied Claes
"Wow... Woah... Woah... Now in front of me, two figures are fighting over humans. What's so special about this person to you?" asked Leander who came over to them.
They were silent.
"How about we ask him, give him the right to choose?" said Lean.
In Ryan's heart, "I can't choose.
"I can't let Ryan get out of my sight," said Claes.
"So do I," Lucien said.
"Hmmm... Lucien acts this far toward Ryan. Does he have any special feelings towards him?" In Lean's mind.
Lean also approached Lucien while holding his shoulder and giving an idea. "Lucien... How about we just beat him? Isn't that easy for you?" suggest Lean.
"No!!" Ryan shouted with a serious look.
"If that's what you want. I'll fight him to the last drop of my blood," said Claes seriously.
"No Claes. You shouldn't accept a stupid offer like this. He's just baiting you."
"Prince... I know your courage. But you must measure your strength. Don't be carried away by emotions and act rashly. Instead of winning, there is death waiting for you." Leander replied with a laugh.
"Actually, what I said to Lucien was for you to give up," he added.
"I will not give up because I am a knight who will protect others," replied Claes.
After seeing this situation, Ryan finally decided. He turned to Lucien and said, "Sorry Lucien. I'm going back to the kingdom. I don't want to see a fight between you two."
"Ryan...." He answered in a low tone.
Lucien hesitated to let go of his grip, I felt the grip on my wrist starting to loosen, but suddenly he pulled my arm and looked at Claes saying, "I will fight against you!!"
Lucien can't accept Ryan's decision and then invites Claes to a duel.
"Fine if that's what you want," replied Claes.
"What do you think?" said Ryan looking at Lucien.
"When people can't accept a decision, he will challenge it," Leander replied.
The two of them each let go of his grip and prepared to fight.
There was a loud sound of a sword being pulled out, and the two of them stared at each other. Ryan, Leander, and Leona became viewers in their fight. What will happen? Who's the winner? Ryan's feelings raged. He didn't want this to happen. Lucien and Claes faced each other. And they parry each other.
"Hiyaaaaah!!"
"It's clear who wins here," said Leander who was at Ryan's side. Ryan also agreed. It means Lucien will be the winner. In terms of strength and stamina, Lucien is superior other than humans.
"But I salute that the prince. He has persistence. Even though he was injured in the previous battle, he accepted the challenge fearlessly. I'm curious as to what will happen." After saying that, Lean headed to where Leona was.
Attack after attack was launched. As Leander said, Lucien excelled. He scratched Claes' arm and hit him until he bounced off. Even though his body was injured, his spirit did not down, and his mind did not waver. Claes stood on his feet and look straight forward.
"Oh no," Ryan muttered.
"Argh!!!!" Lucien kept himself from falling.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.
