《Devil in My Heart》Protect The Fairy Forest

"What do you mean? " Wezen said.
They brought their gang to cut down trees. After all, this is our area.
I immediately realized, "Are they illegal loggers?"
"Yes, like that. Even though this is a no-logging area. We don't even dare to show ourselves to them. If they find out about our whereabouts, we're afraid of being caught. They shouldn't know the whereabouts of the fairies!" Explained Adhara.
"How many people?" asked me.
"Five people."
I also began to understand why they were wary of even disliking humans.
"In that case, I'll stand guard in front of the forest before they come," said Ryana.
Then, Ryana was waiting where she slept yesterday, and the long-awaited gang arrived. They numbered five as the elf said.
"Let's cut down and clear this land immediately," said one of them.
"Yes, boss. It will be implemented soon," his man said.
Ryana watched from behind the tree and saw them. "Their weapons are axes," muttered Ryana.
On the other hand, the fairies were discussing.
"We have to help Ryana. We can't just stand still. Because this is our territory, and we have to fight for it." Said the fairy.
"Yes, I agree," said another.
"We will sneak from behind, bushes, trees, and rocks. We'll scare them."
"Are you ready?"
"Yes."
Compact the fairies.
Meanwhile, the loggers want to act. Then Ryana appeared from behind the tree with her triangular hat covering her face while saying, "What are you doing, man?" Ryana said politely but seriously with a faint smile.
"Who are you? What's your business with this?" they asked.
"I am the guardian of this forest," answered Ryana.
"Hah? Don't joke. There are no guards in this forest."
"Haven't you seen the one standing in front of you?"
"Ha-ha!!!" They all underestimate Ryana.
"As far as I know this forest is forbidden, why do you guys still intend to cut it down?" I asked in a high tone.
"Did you know that the trees in this forest are of good quality, so we can sell them at a high price? So, don't interfere!!" He answered.
"Humans are greedy. Because of precious, this forest is protected," replied Ryana.
"If you don't want to step aside, I'll take action."
I also prepared with the sword on my waist and when they were about to launch an attack on me with axes, I quickly attacked. There was the sound of a sword being pulled out of its scabbard while I lowered my head slightly and slashed the hilt of the ax until it fell.

"Eek!!!" The person was shocked because the sword almost hit his face.
"Sigh, almost," I spoke.
They were all shocked and annoyed at the same time, so they tried to attack me again. But when they wanted to attack, they were hit by stones. When he saw that there was no one around besides Ryana who was in front of them. Then the woodcutter shouted, "Who??"
But the atmosphere of the forest is silent.
"Boss. Could there be a ghost here?" Said his men scared.
"You are stupid. Don't you think about the benefits that will come later?"
"But... that woman is strong". Reply to his men.
Then Ryana said, "That's a sign that you're being asked to get out of here except your intentions are good.
"This can't be allowed, let's attack him," Boss shouts.
But they were stoned again which made them stop.
"Keep going ahead. Attack like this should not frighten us." The boss shouted encouragingly.
"Yes." They answered in unison.
"What? They still don't want to stop?" said Wezen the elf.
Ryana was alert and saw their position with her sharp eyes and tight grip. Then suddenly...
"Bruk... brak... bruk brak..." The loggers fell.
Ryana hit their chins, elbowed them with her right hand, and kicked one of them with her left foot to the chin. Punch with the left hand. Then slid forward while drawing the blade of the sword at the boss's neck.
Seeing that, then the boss was scared.
"Get out of here or..." Ryana said with a sharp look in her eyes but didn't finish saying it, the frightened boss then said, "Well... we're going. Please release us," said the boss.
"Yes... we beg you." said his men.
Ryana straightened up and sheathed her sword with a faint smile.
They finally left.
After seeing them leave and making sure there was no one else besides Ryana, the fairies also appeared to come to Ryana, not only the previous three fairies but along with the other fairies. They also cheered.
"Thanks for kicking him out for us." Said the fairies.
"Yes. Does that mean you were the ones who threw the stones?" I asked them.
"Yes..." they answered.
"I was helped and not alone. Good. Hehe," Ryana replied.
"Looks like the troublemaker has gone. So, I'll be leaving the forest first." Said Ryana.
"Why?" replied the fairies.
"I want to earn money," I answered.
They looked at each other as if they didn't understand.
Then I continued my words, "I'll be back again."
"Is that true?" asked the fairy with sparkling eyes.

"Yes," I said with a smile.
I waved my hand at them and headed into town. "Living in the city, you must have money," I muttered. "Yeah. I must be excited today. Just see what opportunities are in town." Arriving in the city, heard the bustle of those who are trading. I walked around looking for a job. "I have to find a temporary job because I have to continue my journey. But is there anything suitable for me?" I muttered.
Then my eyes fell on the sheet. "Watch art performances in this entertainment venue. Guaranteed to amaze you." I'm interested too. Not interested in seeing the show but interested in being a participant. I was so enthusiastic and excited. I entered the entertainment venue and soon registered myself. They looked from head to toe. "Hmm... well-proportioned body. However," At first, they were hesitant, then I convinced them, "Come on. I can play the sword. I will amaze the audience." I said confidently. But in the eyes of the owner of the entertainment venue, she saw a less attractive figure. However, after consideration, finally, the owner of the entertainment venue tried to give her a chance.
"Okay, let's try it first," said Madam.
"Thank you, Madam," replied me with a happy face.
The lady took me to the dressing room and asked the makeup artist to dress me.
"In entertaining the audience, appearance is important," she said.
I just nodded my head in agreement.
The makeup artist started to dress Ryana by giving me blush and lip tint. When I opened my eyes, I was astonished as were the others. "You look like a man at first sight, but after you dress up, you look stunning," said the madam with great admiration.
I just said yes with a little smile.
Then they dressed me in a thin and silky golden robe where my waist was visible, and I wore a thin veil that matched the dress because I was nervous when I first appeared on stage. However, the veil made other people more curious.
Night fell and Ryana went into action. With my hair in half ponytail, I danced on the stage with my swordplay. "I'm just following the basics of sword training," I muttered as I danced. The audience was amazed and enthralled.
"Woah... A graceful movement but mixed with a strong movement. What a beautiful combination."
"Not only that, but she also looks really pretty."
"Is she new? I want to get to know her."
That's how the audience is talking about her. The show ended and was followed by loud applause. I was also amazed to see the audience who seemed happy. "Looks like I made it," I muttered.
Then I went backstage, and the lady came up to me, "Wonderful. The audience is fascinated by your performance." Said the madam with sparkling eyes.
I was also happy to hear that and then got paid that night.
On the other hand, a veiled person is walking on the roof with a rope and then infiltrating the palace. In the dim conditions of the room, she attacked the bed. But suddenly there was a melodious harp sound from behind.
"Who are you? What is your will here?"
"You disobeyed the rules and wanted to exploit the forest. I can't let it go just because of your greed. The previous kings had guarded the forest, and yet you wanted to destroy it." Said the veiled woman.
"Oh... So, you're not happy about that. Isn't this harp sound good? It's made of wood taken from there."
The veiled woman became furious and gripped her sword tightly to attack the young prince. The prince immediately drew his sword. They also parry and attack each other. In fact, this prince ordered the use of wood in the fairy forest, because he did not believe in fairies' existence and he did not know that his behavior could disturb the dwellings of the fairies. So, he thought his actions were legitimate.
They hit each other and this woman fell on the bed and he saw her beautiful eyes. For a moment the prince stopped to attack her and then the woman used to run away. But before she could run, she said, "If you're still bothering the forest, I'll keep coming to attack you. Then she ran away from the window. Prince looked out the window but was not caught.
The soldier came knocking on the door asking about the condition. "Sorry prince, is there a problem? We heard the sound of swords from the prince's room."
"No... It's fine." said the prince.
The look in the woman's eyes was like the one I saw on the street yesterday afternoon when the woman was helping the old man. He was also impressed by her courage. "But why did she even guard the forest?" he said.
The next morning, the prince ordered the soldiers to find the lady by wearing a bright yellow earring.
In the prince's mind, "That is my only clue."
"Well, prince," answered the soldier. But outside the palace, the soldiers wonder how they can find a lady who wears one earring.

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.

Accompany the adventure of Garrod Seafair as he travels the galaxy and makes his way through all the mess the Jedi caused over the course of the years! -------------------------------------------------- This is a just for fun project that I'm doing to pass some time, I was inspired to do it after reading a really good fanfiction that someone started to write in another platform, I basically used his same idea of initial settings, that being the Jedi temple, and I used part of his System but with some modifications. Read his fanfiction as well if you can, its name is "Force user supplementary system", he published it in webnovel. A God's Champion
James was an Operator who had the misfortune to die in battle. Instead of his soul moving on to his just reward, it is intercepted, and James finds himself on a new mission. Asked to be the Champion for Ignatius, God of Embers, he finds himself in a different world, fighting impossible creatures and trying to survive. Their lives now depend on his completing the Challenge and ranking in the top 500. But the odds are stacked against him, and he was a better operator than a swordsman. Chapters released Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30 Warning: After Chapter 11, the MC undergoes a significant change of class and race. This is due to a couple of factors. The first is that when the MC was created, James didn't know what he was doing, so he picked what he thought would work. The second reason is that he had access to more information to game the system a little. The premise is like when you buy a new video game and decide to play it without RTFM. After creating a great character and making it to the end of the first act, you realize that, although your character may be kewl, it is gimped and will not survive until the end of the game. Going back to the start, you create a new character with the knowledge you gained from playing the game and perhaps, peeking at the manual.
