《Devil in My Heart》Yuki and Zerath

Once upon a time, I served in the human world. When finished, I returned to heaven. But she was no longer in the god realm. She had already been reborn in the human realm and her whereabouts could not be traced. Maybe there is a barrier within her that makes her whereabouts untraceable.
Ryana also listened to his story with great interest and was touched and then said, "Hope you can see her again."
Ryana's smile made this fox feel healed.
"Then," the fox continued, "I, who was lonely because I lost the goddess, descended into the human world again to look for her. But didn't find it. When it's been so long in the human world, I intended to return to heaven, but I met Yuki, your mother. She is a beautiful woman. Then we became friends. We had happy days and my sorrow for loneliness was healed by her presence.
A few years later, Yuki meets her partner, your father, prince Zerath. They both fell in love with each other. Initially, the previous king of Shira did not allow his son to have a relationship with Yuki. However, because of the determination and sincerity of the prince and Yuki, they were finally able to convince the king. After seeing Yuki happy with his family, I intend to return to heaven again."
Then Kiran also told how Yuki met Zerath.
It was a blizzard at the time...
"It's snowing a lot outside," Yuki said while looking from inside the cave.
"Hey, Kiran. Have you ever thought about living in the city?" asked Yuki.
"I prefer it here." Said Kiran in his form as a fox.
Then Yuki lay down on Kiran's stomach. "Hmmm... But I want to visit there."
On the other hand, there are some soldiers...
"This storm makes the view even more chaotic."
"We have to find a cave," Prince said.
"But all we see is trees and a wide expanse of snow."
Zerath kept walking, but unfortunately, because of the slippery snow, he slipped and fell inside,
"Argh!!!" his voice echoed.
Yuki opened her eyes and said, "I heard a voice."
"Maybe you're dreaming. Where is anyone running around in this blizzard."
Yuki wanted to ignore it, but she felt guilty in her heart.
"I will try to investigate the outside conditions."
"Hey," Kiran shouted who forbids her to go.
"I can't just sit around and want to make sure that things are okay outside." Replied Yuki.
"But it's stormy outside," said Kiran.
"That doesn't matter to me," said Yuki.
Yuki came out. Kiran who felt worried then followed Yuki from behind without Yuki's knowing. "It's made me worry," Kiran said.
"I thought I heard it from the south," Yuki muttered. They walked for a long time when suddenly there was a huge snow mound heading towards Yuki. Quickly, Kiran ran towards her and stepped over Yuki's head, then wagged the mound of snowballs with his tail so as not to hit Yuki.

Yuki who saw the big fox in front of him then acted. "Aaaahhh... Kiran... Finally, you came. While hugging and pressing her cheek against the fox."
"You must have known that I was coming?"
"Yes. He-he..."
"Hmmm." Mumbled Kiran.
They continued their walk, "It shouldn't be far from here. I feel human energy."
"Where? Where?" asked Yuki.
"Ahhh... Kiran... Kiran.... Did you see that? There's someone's hand. Oh no... Was his hand cut off?"
Kiran dug with both hands.
"No. He just got hit by the snow. This is the head." Kiran said, taking a deep breath at Yuki's overexpression, but she is a cheerful person. The opposite of Kiran is a cold character. However, they can be close friends.
Yuki drew closer to Zerath and brushed off the snow on his face. He was fascinated by a human. Then Yuki felt his cold body and immediately ask Kiran for help.
"Let's take him Kiran..."
Kiran tugged at the prince's collar while Yuki helped place him on Kiran's back. They finally returned to the crystal cave.
"He hasn't woken up yet," Yuki said.
"He needed rest last night. No serious injuries." Said Kiran who was checking on Zerath's condition.
"Ah. I'm grateful."
"They put him in a warm crystal room."
********
The royal army delivered the sad news that the prince had fallen and was lost in a blizzard.
"What??! How could that be? Why can't you take care of him?" The king and queen were shocked to hear.
"Oh no. My only son." Said the queen was feeling sad.
********
The next morning, Zerath woke up.
"Where am I?"
"Oh, you're awake?" Kiran said.
"Fox demon?!" Said Zerath who was surprised to see the fox could talk.
"Have been helped but not thanked. You see, I'm a god. What an impolite human." Said Kiran.
Zerath was silent and confused. "God...god?" Then Zerath immediately kneel and worshiped Kiran.
"Forgive me, god."
"Oh, you're awake?" said Yuki.
Now another greeting was heard, but now it was a lady's voice. Then on reflex, Zerath replied without looking at Yuki, "Y-Yes goddess."
"Hah??! Who is the goddess?" Yuki answered.
Then Zerath looked up and saw Yuki's beautiful figure and was blown away. Then followed the confusion of what happened."
"Eh??? What happened? Am I dead and in heaven?" Zerath looked at his surroundings with these crystal walls as well as the crystal glass rock where he was lying earlier, and his vision stopped at the figures of the two creatures in front of him.
"You're not dead yet," Yuki answered. "The two of us went to save you who was covered in snow."
Yuki told him what happened.
"Oh, like that. Th-thank you for the god's help."
"This fox is indeed a god named Kiran, while I am a human named Yuki. These crystals are the result of my art, of course, Kiran's role too," Yuki explained while showing her abilities. They also spent their days happily and it didn't take long, Prince Zerath fell in love with Yuki. Same as with Yuki.

A month later, the prince had made up his mind.
"Yuki, go with me to the city. I want to introduce you to my parents and ask permission to marry you."
Yuki who heard it felt very happy at the prince's invitation. They also conveyed to Kiran. Kiran who heard it became sad.
"God Kiran, you can also stay in our kingdom."
Kiran, who is not like crowds, chooses to live in a cave. He also let Yuki go with one condition. Don't tell about him and his residence to humans even to the people which they care about. Only the two of them know.
Arriving at the Shira kingdom, the people did not know their prince. When they entered the royal gates, they were blocked by guards.
"Show me your identity."
Of course, the prince has no identity, but he is the prince and successor of this Shira kingdom.
"I don't have an identity, but please allow me to enter the palace."
"No identifier, can't enter." Said the guard firmly.
The prince insisted, "I am the prince of this kingdom."
The guards looked at each other and laughed at seeing their shabby clothes, "If he's a prince, then I'm the king. Hahaha."
"If you can't show an ID, you just give this woman to us." Before the soldier was about to touch Yuki's face, Zerath directly gripped the guard's hand tightly.
"If you dare touch her, you will not survive in this kingdom," Prince said.
"Argh!!!"
Then the other guards drew their swords at the prince and Yuki.
"You guys have behaved impolitely towards this royal successor. You will suffer the consequences." Zerath said with a sharp look in his eyes.
"Throw them out," said the guard.
"What's all the fuss about?!" Said the knight who returned from patrol.
"This is someone who wants to enter the palace but has no identification and no official letter."
"But should we face them like this?" The knight saw his soldiers draw swords at them. "Aren't your actions excessive?" Said the knight who was riding a horse and was behind the prince.
"B-but... he claims to be a prince."
The knight was suspicious and immediately steered his horse forward to see who this person really was. When the knight saw prince Zerath, he immediately got off his horse and said, "Prince!!!" With emotion, he shed tears because he thought his prince had died at that time. The surrounding soldiers were surprised to see the reaction of the knights who were higher in rank than them. Then they kneel themselves begging for mercy and forgiveness from the prince.
"You don't deserve to be soldiers. Judging people only by appearance. I can forgive those of you who insulted me, but I don't accept that you insult my future wife."
Yuki also calmed the prince's heart, "Give them one chance so they can change."
"But."
Yuki smiled and nodded.
"Okay. This is a lesson for all of you. However, the law still works. Eighty percent of your weekly income will be donated to the poor. This is a relief for me."
"Thank you for the prince's generosity." Say them.
Then the knight brought the prince and Yuki into the palace. How happy parents are to see their son is still alive.
"Am I dreaming?" said the queen.
"No, mom," answered Zerath.
"Mom... Dad... She is Yuki who saved me. I want to marry her. Therefore, I came here to ask permission," continued Zerath
"Where are you from, lady?" asked the king.
Yuki who was confused in replying then turned to Zerath.
"It means which family do you come from and where do you live?" Said the queen.
"I... I live alone and have no parents. I don't know my clan either."
The king and queen were shocked.
Then the king acted, "My son, I cannot allow you to marry her. You can't get married with unclear origins. In return, I will give her a house and jewels."
Yuki who heard it became sad.
"If dad doesn't approve, I will go and live outside with Yuki. My decision has been made and I do not want this royal throne."
In Zerath's mind, he had spent the day happily living with Yuki and Kiran.
"You... you."
"Goodbye father, mother. Forgive the unfilial Zerath. Out of respect for my parents, I will visit regularly. Come on, Yuki," Zerath grabbed Yuki's hand.
"Wait, my son. This can be discussed properly." Call the queen.
"Mother... How can my life be valued only as a house and property? For me, Yuki has the right to be with me. Social status and ethnicity are differences created by humans."
"Okay, my son. Stay here with her."
"Really?"
The king softened and opened his eyes to his only son. They hug each other. Not long after, they got married. They are a harmonious couple.

"Kiran, thank you for protecting this kingdom and also for guarding this castle."
"Your mother is my friend in this world. Of course, I will fight to protect her and this kingdom that she loves. But what can we do? The power of the demon is so great."
"Kiran, sorry for keeping you in this world and waiting for me. Now, you are free. Please go back to where you started." Ryana said smiling at Kiran.
Deg!! Kiran gasped.
"The farewell of our loved ones makes us lonely. In the heavenly realm, I am lonely; in the human world, I am also lonely." Kiran said.
Ryana understood Kiran's feelings.
"Separating from someone we love is suffering. However, by realizing that life is short, and we will part one day, we are expected to appreciate the time we spend with that person more. Not only you, but I and the others will also face separation," said Ryana comforting Kiran.
Kiran smiled to hear that.

I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)
