《Whispers (Draco Malfoy x reader)》9

Draco was sleepless that night. He tossed and turned on his four poster bed, it seemed as if it was impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep in.
-
After that sleepless night, Draco has decided that he would just owl her. So now he sat on his bed, beside the nightstand he was provided, writing to her.
After countless times of groaning in frustration and scrunching up failed letters only to be thrown on the floor, he finally decided on a simple yet straightforward approach, nothing too detailed or creepy.
He sighed in relief as he finally wrote the note after so many failed attempts. He attached it to his eagle owl, and it set off to send it straight to her.
-
The owls came fluttering in during breakfast like always. Y/n usually only got a letter from her parents at the start of the year, so she was surprised to see and owl flying towards her.
It wasn't an owl she recognised though, but it looked vaguely similar to Draco's father's owl.
She untied the letter from it's leg, careful not to do any harm to the letter or the bird itself.
She unfolded it and read it contents.
Dear Y/n,
Meet me at the Astronomy Tower at midnight.
D.M
'What could he possibly need?' She said to herself. 'Was it a date? It really doesn't seem all too descriptive.' She said to herself again.
"What could who possibly need? Are you going on a date." Padma suddenly interrupted from behind her, nearly giving her a heart attack.
"Merlins beard!" She jumped in surprise at Padma's sudden appearance.
"You could've given me a heart attack!"
"Sorry."
Padma decide it was best to drop the subject earlier and they proceeded to breakfast.

Y/n L/n woke up at around eleven that night, she knew she still had an hour but she was really excited to meet him again. She put on her cloak, not really bothering to change out of her pajamas.
She walked quietly along the deserted corridors, swiftly hiding behind a wall when she saw Filch and his cat, Mrs. Norris, patrolling the grounds.
When she reached the familiar spiral staircase, she padded up the stairs as swiftly as she could without making making much noise.
By the the time she reached the top of the Astronomy Tower, it was already a quarter to twelve. She was panting slightly as she clutched the silky material of her cloak closer to her body due to the cold weather, she really didn't think this through.
Even though she was a bit early, she could see Draco, perched against one of the many glass windows staring into the sky as if he'd been waiting there for hours.
"Draco?" She called out softly.
He turned his head at the sudden noise to glance at her, when he caught sight of her, he smiled softly.
"Come here, I have something I want to tell you." He said, hands fidgeting with the lose strand of thread on his pants.
She hesitated for a split second, but she walked towards him and sat next to him anyways. He seemed to notice she was cold, so he held her close, letting her nuzzle her head into the crook of his neck as he did so.
"Remember the day my father asked me to meet him at Snape's office." He started, voice cool but the slight nervousness evident in his tone.
She frowned slightly at the thought but nodded silently.
"H-he expects m-marriage, and I guess g-grandchildren." He blurted out, stuttering at the thought of she would possibly react.

She stiffened at first but she then softened at the fact Lucius wasn't angry about their 'relationship', but rather encouraging it. She couldn't help the grin that was growing on on her face.
When Draco saw that, he too started smiling brightly at her.
"Really? That's great! Unless y-you know, you're not against it or anything. Right?" She stuttered out.
"Oh of course not!" He immediately replied.
There was silence for a few seconds, but it was oddly comforting to be in each other's presence.
"Draco, what are we?" Y/n suddenly asked him.
"Whatever you want it to be." He replied, pupils dilated as he pulled her closer, lips inches away.
"Then I'm yours." She smiled, closing the gap between them.

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.

A blue marble floated in the unending void. On that marble, billions went about their lives, unaware that somewhere else, something had changed. Some requirement was met, and suddenly, a new type of energy saturated the universe. A mother closed her car's door and lifted a bag of groceries in an arm before vanishing into nothingness. Across the world, a teenager disappeared mid-word from a conversation with friends. In eastern America, Captain Octavius J. Asher of the US Army vanished from a mountain trail with no witnesses. People all over the Earth disappeared simultaneously. Such a thing would normally cause mass panic across the globe were it not for the fact that there wasn't a single person left on the globe to panic. Congratulations! Your universe has joined the System. Note: I wanted to read another litrpg apocalypse novel but couldn't find one. Thus, I decided to write one. The MC will be strong for a human but insignificant on a cosmic scale. No destroying worlds with a spell on chapter 25 in this novel. He will face challenges and be forced to make hard decisions. This serial now on hiatus for the time being :( Please rate and review. Constructive criticism is welcome!

Naruto Retsuden: Toru
[SI/OC Third Shinobi War]Well fought and well done. All of us fight as one. It took me three years to be able to properly read the faded out kanji of the flimsy poster that I keep in my back pocket. The illustration is colourful, bright reds and yellows. Colours that would definitely catch the attention of a child. The poster was carefully placed along the walls and fences of my village, level with the height of a four year old. I thought enlisting to become a Shinobi was a heroic deed, something I needed to do to save my family from poverty and to serve my country at the cusp of war. Then I graduated early to be deployed to the front lines.I am sadly and sorely mistaken. Warnings:Slow-burnNO OP-NESSRomance? What romance? It'll take at least 40 chapters or more before anything romantic happens.Realistic depictions of War from a child's perspectiveBlood and goreChild SoldiersPTSDRealistic character developmentTragedy. A lot of tragedy. Critiques much appreciated!
