《Harry Potter Characters X Reader | Book 1 (Requests Closed)》George x Reader ~ ask her

You sighed and waited patiently for McGonagall. What was going to happen wasn't quiet clear to you. All you knew is that professor Filch said that girls had to gather or the left side, and boys on the right.
It was kind of good that you had to stand there. You stood opposite of George Weasley and his twin brother Fred. George was, I your eyes, the funnies and most beautiful guy at this school. You could easily recognize him, even if he was with Fred.
You exchanged glances across the room and you shyly looked away. You had been in his class for 6 years already, but you couldn't bring up the courage to talk to him.
George had to exact same problem. He had an eye on you for almost 3 years now. The funny part was that Fred didn't like you at all. Where Fred and George first had interests in the same people, Fred didn't see you the way George did.
'Go talk to him.' Your best friend Ana spoke.
'What? No...'
'Come on! You can't be serious right now. You've liked him for so long.'
You sighed. You looked back at the ginger haired boy and a smile crept onto your face. Fred glanced at you.
'She's looking at you mate.' He whispered to George.
'Really?'
'Yeah... Come on, give the girl a smile.'
But when George looked at you, you had already looked away. McGonagall entered and looked around.
'The yule ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since it's inception. On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity.'
You have got to be kidding me, you thought while sighing.
'As representatives of the hosts school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward... and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost a dance.'
There was talking through the room. Everyone was asking each other who they were going to ask.
'Ask George!' Ana smiled.
'Silence!' McGonagall spoke before you could react.
Silence filled the room.
'The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the cost of a single evening besmirching that name behaving like a babbling bumbling band of baboons.'

Gorge and Fred whispered something and then repeated babbling bumbling band of baboons three times. You couldn't help but let out a small chuckled and George blushed while looking at you.
'Now to dance is to let the body... breathe. Inside every girl a swan of slumbers, longing to burst forth and take flight.'
Ron made a comment which you could hardly understand. Not that you were interested.
'Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mister Weasley.' McGonagall spoke while walking towards him.
'Yes.' He spoke while looking up at her.
'Will you join me please?'
He got up slowly and walked with McGonagall.
'Now, place your right hand on my waist.'
'Where?' He asked.
A few students grinned.
'My waist.'
Fred and gorge whistled at Ron and you laughed with a few others.
'One, two, three.' McGonagall spoke leading Ron over the floor. 'Everybody come together. Boys on your feet!'
You just stood there awkwardly waiting while Ana looked at Fred. He nodded shortly and then Ana pushed you towards George and Fred pushed George towards you. Causing the two of you to bump into each other.
You looked up with red cheeks and never felt this nervous before.
'Uhm... Hi Laurie...' George said while scratching the back of his neck.
'Hi.' You spoke softly.
He offered you his hand and you nervously grabbed it. As soon as your fingers touched, a tingling feeling went from your hand trough your entire body.
As soon as his left hand was placed on your waist, goosebumps spread across your body. You swallowed and looked into his beautiful brown eyes. You placed your right hand on his left shoulder.
'I can't dance...' you spoke softly and slightly embarrassed.
'Just follow my lead.'
He started moving and you followed him slowly. You stepped on his foot a few times and felt even more embarrassed after that. But he would reassure you that it was fine.
After a few times you got the hang of it and you actually started enjoying it. You smiled and you smiled.
'See, you got it.' He smiled.
'I do! Thank you.' You blushed.
After class you grabbed your bag and hurried out of the classroom. Ana grabbed your wrist. You turned around and smiled at her.

'How was it?!' She asked.
'Sssst! Stay quiet.' You sighed while George walked out of the classroom.
He passed you a small smile before walking away. Your cheeks shot red and you looked at Ana who was just smirking at you.
-
'You should ask her George.' Fred sighed.
George dropped himself on his bed and thought back about the dance. The thought made a smile appear on his face. He was wondering whether or not you enjoyed it as much as he did.
'Maybe she wants to go with someone else.' George sighed.
'You'll never know unless you ask her.' Fred sighed while sitting down on his bed.
'But what if she says no?'
'You'll never know unless you ask her.' He repeated. 'And I have a plan on how you can ask her...'
'Ana! Stop it. Please.' You sighed in embarrassment.
'Just admit that you want him to ask you! You just turned down Viktor... Viktor Krum!'
'I know.'
'He's the best seeker in the world! And you turned him down!'
'Okay! Yes! Yes I'm praying that he asks me!' You admitted.
Ana smirked.
That evening Fred and George sneaked out of the common room.
'What are we doing?' George asked.
'Fase one of my plan.' Fred smirked.
They avoided professor Filch and hurried towards the green house. Fred grabbed his wand.
'Alohomora.' He spoke and he opened the green house.
They walked in and George looked around.
'Flowers? Seriously?'
'Old school... but effective.' Fred smiled.
The two boys started walking through the green house. There were only magical plants that would strangle you, make you deaf, make you faint... nothing George could use. He sighed and walked into the other part of the green house. He stopped as one flower caught his eyes. The most beautiful red rose he had ever seen.
'Fred...'
Fred popped his head through the passage way.
'What?' He asked.
'Look at this.'
He walked in and looked at the rose.
'That's beautiful. You should take it.'
'One problem... there are no other roses here. What if they need it?'
'They grow a new one.' Fred suggested.
'I'm not sure...'
Fred grabbed George his arm and pulled him out of the green house.
'Orchideous.' He mumbled and he grew a beautiful rose.
-
'I said no Krum.' You sighed.
'How can you say no to me? I'm Viktor Krum.'
'And I'm not interested.' You sighed.
Krum walked away and you sighed. George looked at you. You were sitting at the lake with Ana. He sighed and looked at the rose in his hand.
'You can do it Georgy.' Fred smiled.
'I can't... I shouldn't-'
'Yes you are.' Fred pushed him towards you.
George his the rose behind his back and nervously walked towards you.
'Hi Laurie.'
Your cheeks shot red and you got up. You turned around and looked at him.
'H-Hi George.' You smiled shyly.
'I-I was wondering if you already had a date to the yule ball.'
You looked at him.
'No I don't... you?' You answered.
'No... I was hoping... maybe... if you'd like to... I don't know... go with me...'
You looked at him and blushed. He moved his hands from behind his back and showed you the rose. Your cheeks got even redder and a smile appeared on your face. You grabbed the rose.
'Of course I want to go with you.' You smiled.
George looked at you. He blinked a few times and couldn't believe you sat yes.
'Seriously?'
'Yes! I thought you were never going to ask.' You smiled.
You smelled the rose and smiled at him.
'Well I'm happy you said yes.' He smiled. 'I've been willing to ask you for a while.'
'Well, I'll have to go get a dress.' You smiled.
You stepped towards him and kissed him cheek. His cheeks got as red as his hair. You smiled at him.
'Come on Ana.'
She got up and the two of you walked away. Fred walked towards George.
'Mate, you did it! She said yes!'
George looked at Fred with a smile. He brought his hand to his cheek. He could still feel your soft lips on them.
'She really said yes.' He smiled.
