You were sitting in the three broomsticks with Draco. You waited for him to come back with some drinks. You had a day off today so you and Draco decided to go on a little date. You were just nervous that your father was going to find out.

Draco came back and sat down opposite of you. He handed you some butterbeer and you smiled. Draco grabbed your hand but you pulled it back. He sighed and his smile vanished.

'Draco-'

'Your father isn't here Y/N. Please can we just enjoy today and not be this nervous and stuff. I want to love you as well.'

'I'm sorry..' You just said while grabbed Draco's hand.

Draco grabbed your hand as well and you took a sip from your butterbeer.

'Thank you for taking me out today.' You smiled, trying to get the mood to lighten up.

'Of course. Anything for my favourite girl.'

You smiled and leaned over to table to kiss him. Draco kissed you back shortly before you sat back down.

Right at that point Severus Snape passed the three broomsticks and saw you and Draco. He was confused and a little angry. You always told him everything. We're you hiding this from him? Snape walked inside and approached your table.

'And what do we have here?'

You quickly let Draco go when you heard him.

'Both professor. We're just enjoying our day off. That's all.' Draco said.

'Don't lie to me.' Snape hissed. 'I just saw you kissing my daughter and you don't even have to guts to come up to me and tell me.'

'I kissed him dad.' You said.

He looked at you.

'We've been dating for a few weeks.' You said.

Severus didn't know what to think. He knew that Draco wasn't the best guy for you, in his opinion at least.

'That is outrageous Y/N! What did I tell you about dating at Hogwarts!'

'I know dad but I can't help it that I like him. He's really sweet to me.'

'I don't care if he sweet to you or not! I can't believe you didn't tell me and I can't believe that you're in love with him!'

'Okay I thought you kinda liked me.' Draco sighed.

'Oh please.' Snape sighed while rolling his eyes.

You couldn't believe this. This was the exact reason that you didn't tell him you and Draco were dating. He would never approve. You sighed and crossed your arms.

'This is exactly why I didn't tell you dad.' You sighed.

'I have the right to be angry young lady! What is the life I tried to not let you be a part off?!'

Your father joined the dark Lord so you'd be spared. Else you would have been a death eater like Draco. He had been trying to shield you from the dark side for years.. but now you were dating a death eater. Draco saw that you were having trouble with him not accepting it.

'He didn't have a choice. You know that. He's not evil. I know that you're trying to protect me.. but you don't have to.'

'Apparently I do have to.' He sighed.

'Dad Draco makes me happy. He treats me like I'm a princess. He's never done anything wrong to me.. I didn't tell you because I knew you weren't going to approve. I didn't know how to make you see that is really what I want.'

'But he is a-'

'I know dad. I know.' You said while looking at him. 'But he's not like that.'

Severus looked at you and then at Draco and then back at you. He didn't know what to say. He wanted to you to be happy but he didn't want you to date a former death eater.

'Is that true? Do you treat her right?' He adked Draco.

'Of course, sir.'

'Do you remember her birthday, anniversaries?' He asked you.

'O-Of course.'

'Are you there when she needs you, when I might not be able to help her?'

'Yes.' Draco answered.

Severus looked at you.

'Fine. If he makes you happy then just keep doing what you're doing.'

You smiled at him. Severus turned around to walk away.

'Dad.'

He stopped and turned back. You got up and hurried over to him. You gave him a hug and severus hugged you back.

'Thank you.' You smiled. 'For everything.'

Snape showed you one of his rare smiles.

'Go back to your date. I'll see you later.'

'Okay.' You smiled.
