You and your best friend Sirius were sitting at the lake with his other friends. You were just fooling around a little.

'I swear James, that Lily is into you.' Remus grinned.

'Is she?' James asked with a slight blush.

'Of course!' Peter said. 'She's around you all the time.'

'I don't think she is into you.' Sirius shrugged.

'Shut up Sirius. You only say that because you're into James.' You laughed.

Sirius sighed and pushed you, causing you to fall into the grass while laughing. He looked at you and smiled.

Sirius knew he shouldn't be feeling like that. Lately he had been feeling confused towards you. He felt like he liked you more than just friends. He didn't want to ruin your friends so he never did anything with it.

'No Sirius isn't into me, he's into Remus.' James laughed.

'Hey! What did I do?' Remus asked.

You laughed and sat up.

'Remus and Sirius. Sounds cute.' You grinned.

Sirius sighed and decided to not interfere in this.

'I just supported you, saying your crush likes you. What did I do to deserve this?' Remus sighed.

'I'm just returning the favour.' James laughed causing you and Peter to laugh as well.

You thought it was funny because they were just jokes. You really hoped that Sirius didn't like anyone.. because you liked him. You never meant to fall in love with your best friend, but it happened. You two had so much fun together.

'Remus and Sirius, sitting in a tree-'

Sirius grabbed you and ran balled his fist. He held you while running his knuckles through your hair.

'Sirius!' You yelled.

'What were you singing?' He adked you.

'Nothing! Nothing I swear!'

Sirius let you go. You sat back up while fixing your hair. Your cheeks were red, eventhiugh you tried not to blush. Sirius had the same but he just looked down so hopefully no one saw it.

'No if anything, Sirius would like Peter.' Remus then said, trying to push the focus away from him.

Sirius looked up and rolled his eyes.

'Why me?' Peter said. 'Why do you chose me?'

'Because it's true.' Remus laughed.

'Peter with Sirius or Remus. Let's vote.' James laughed.

'Or James with Sirius.' You added.

'Guys I'm not gay!' Sirius hissed.

'Okay, Sirius and Y/N then.' Remus laughed.

You just laughed a little but quickly stopped. Sirius didn't even say anything and just looked at you.

'What? So you do like it to say it about other people but when it's about you you don't like it?' James asked while raising his brows.

'Did I say anything about it?' You asked.

'Sirius and Y/N.. sitting in a tree.' Remus started.

'Shut up Remus.' Sirius sighed.

'They'd be cute together.' Peter grinned.

'Shut up.' Sirius hissed.

He didn't want anyone to know that be liked you. These jokes were going to give it away. He couldn't let you go.

'Someone doesn't like it.' James laughed.

'That's enough. She's my best friend. Grow up, i don't like her.'

That actually hurt you. You looked at he grass. You didn't want them to know but you just wanted to cry right now.

'Y/N.. are you alright?' Peter asked, noticing that someone was wrong.

You didn't dare to look up.

'I'm fine.' You said while getting up. 'I'll see you guys later.'

You just walked away. Leaving the boys in confusion.

'I'll go after her.' Sirius said.

Sirius hurried after you. Tears were already running down your face. Sirius grabbed your wrist and you stopped. You tried to stay quiet.

'What's wrong?' Sirius asked.

'Nothing.' You said, trying to sound normal. But Sirius could hear that you were crying.

'Don't lie to me. I can hear it.'

You pulled your arm back and turned around. Sirius looked at you. He wanted to wipe year tears away but you wouldn't let him.

'What's wrong? Did I do something?'

'No.' You just said.

'They were just teasing, you know. Don't worry about it too much.'

'Just leave me alone for a second Sirius.'

You turned around to walk away, but Sirius wouldn't let you. He just grabbed your sleeve again.

'Not until you talk to me.'

'Let me go.'

'They were just playing Y/N.'

'Let me go!'

'They weren't serious. What they said wasn't the truth.'

'So you don't like me?' You asked him.

'Why are you asking me that.'

You didn't answer. Sirius looked at you.

'Y/N?'

'Because I do like you Sirius!' You exclaimed while turning around.

Sirius let you go and just stared at you. You didn't want to say like that. But now you couldn't go back.

'But that doesn't matter.. because you don't like me.'

You wiped your cheeks away.

'Y/N..'

'No it's fine.. I get it.'

'No you don't.' He smiled. 'I only said that because I didn't know if you liked me and I didn't want to ruin our friendship.. that's why I said that.'

You looked at him in surprise and you automatically stopped crying.

'Really?' You sniffed.

'Yes! I'm so sorry for giving you that feeling. I am so sorry.'

He pulled you into a hug. You hugged him back.
