'Is it something I did. Pansy be honest with me.'

Pansy watched you sitting there in your room again. She couldn't believe that this was happening.

'No! I don't get it either. He usually doesn't do this.'

'That's why it must be my fault. Why would he do this to me?' You asked.

Pansy sat down on your bed besides you. You had been dating Draco ever since the fourth year of Hogwarts. You were now in your sixth year.. but since day one.. since you got onto the train he hadn't said anything to you.

You tried to talk to him during dinner, during class you tried to get his attention but nothing. You hadn't cuddled with him in weeks. You never even got a hi from him. Your heart was breaking and you didn't know what you did.

'Did you send him letters during the holiday?' Pansy asked.

'Of course I did. I even got letters back. He said that he missed me and couldn't wait to see me..'

You dug your face in your pillow.

'I'm sure-'

'I can't deal with this anymore.' You said. 'If this continues then I don't know what to do anymore.'

'You have to confront him. Force him to talk to you. Tell him what's bothering you.'

'He will just walk past me.'

'I'll be there. I'll help him listen and then I'll go.'

You sat up.

'Really?' You asked.

'Really.' She smiled.

The next day you were just waiting in the common room. It was late. You didn't know why Draco wasn't back. Everyone was asleep it was close to midnight.

Pansy let out a yawn.

'Can't we just give up?' Pansy asked.

'No. You promised me.' You sighed.

You looked back at the door. After a few minutes someone walked in. Pansy quickly sat up. You saw Draco. You got up. He looked at you for a short moment before he tried to walk upstairs.

'Draco.' You said.

He kept walking. Pansy jumped of her chair to block his path. Draco tried to push her away.

'Draco, for fuck sakes man, you have to talk to her. What do you think you're doing?!'

Draco sighed and looked at you. He saw the pain in his eyes. He knew he was hurting you. He ignored you on purpose hoping you'd just move on. It surprised him that you were still trying to talk to him.

He loved you. More than anyone.. but he couldn't bring you in danger. Voldemort gave him a task and he didn't want you to be involved with him anymore.

'Is it something I did?' You asked. 'Did I say anything, did I do anything? Didn't I send you enough letters? Didn't I say I love you enough?' You choked.

'It's nothing you did.'

It had been too long since he spoke to you. His voice sounded so amazing to you. It always did but it was even more amazing now.

'Then what is it? You haven't spoken to me in weeks. I tried to talk to you, because I need you.. and you refuse to do anything. You refuse to hug me, you refuse to even look at me.'

'I thought you'd go on without me if I'd ignore you. Find someone new he can be there for you.'

'Do you want to break up with me?' You asked.

Draco shook his head. Pansy slowly walked away. She didn't want to be here. This was between you two. Draco finally seemed to be willing to talk to you.

'Then why would you want me to go on without you? I love you.'

A tear rolled down your cheek. You looked away from him. It broke Draco's heart to see you like this. He walked over to you. You looked up at him. Draco used his index finger to wipe your tear away.

You grabbed his hand and held it against you for a moment. His touch made you happy. After so many weeks.. Draco looked at you.

'Why?' You asked him.

'I can't tell you. You won't love me anymore if I do. That's why I just prepared myself to live without you.'

'Draco.. I love you more than anything. Why do you think that I won't love you anymore? You've ignored me for months and still I'm trying to get you to love me.'

'I love you. You know I do. You're the only one who's probably ever loved me. You're the only person I have ever loved.'

'Then why can't you tell me?'

'Somewhere I'm still afraid to lose you. Even though I was already starting to.',

You laid your hand on his face. Draco laid his hand over yours.

'Please.. maybe I can help you.'

Draco looked down at the floor.

'I.. Voldemort has given me a task. I need to do something here for him. Like.. killing Dumbledore.' He said.

He pulled up the sleeve on his left arm. He couldn't even look at you.

'Draco.. That's horrible.' You spoke a little in shock.

'It wasn't my choice. Please.. I... It wasn't my choice. I don't want this. I don't want to be a part of this but I have no choice.. he'll kill me if I don't do this. I don't want you to be involved with someone like me. It's too dangerous.'

You cupped his face and pressed your lips against his. It felt amazing for both of you to finally share a kiss. Draco pulled you closer to him and deepened the kiss. You pulled back.

'It's okay. I'm here for you. I get that you don't want it. Don't worry Draco.. let me be here for you.'

'Really?' He asked.

'Of course.. I love you.'

Draco smiled and kissed you again.
