Recap of Previous part: Cassandra walked home, talking to Cyclops. She was thinking about destroying the Concert that was being held on Saturday. Cassandra then had to end the call when she heard someone following her. It turned out to be Candy who was passing out concert posters to hire people for the work. Cassandra signed up for it and then went to the location that was said in the poster. IShe then saw two band members, scared them away, and thought of a plan to destroy the event.
————————————Y/N POV——————————
It was another morning, and as always, I walked to school. I got into class and saw that Cassandra wasn't here today. That was strange. It was good as well, since I don't have to ignore her for the day.
After class, I was Candy giving out some papers to students on the way out. I decided to take one and it said 'Now Hiring Backstage Members!'. It also said it would be for future credit, so I decided to join in.
"You're interested in participating backstage?" Pico said, putting his hand on my shoulder next to me. "Yup." I said. "I honestly wonder why Cassandra didn't come to school today." I told Pico. He didn't look surprised though. "She skips classes sometimes. It shouldn't surprise you." Pico said, chewing on a tooth pick. I guess he was right. I don't know why I worry about her. I'm scared of her, and I don't think I should see her as a friend since Pico sees her as an enemy.
———Time Skip———
After school, I went over to Candy which I think I interrupted them? I walked over there and it looked like Cam and Candy were about to uhm... kiss? Before they could, they noticed me. "Ah, uhm. Sorry. I just came to say that I'm interested in joining the backstage members." I said nervously. "Oh okay! I'll walk you there!" She said. "Aw man. I wanted that kiss." Cam said, putting his hand through his hair looking sad. "Later." Candy said.

We both walked to an outside looking concert with workers putting up lights. I saw one of them bullying another worker, which was kind of strange. I walked up near and saw Cassandra? "Cassandra what are you doing here?" I asked her. "I decided to work here for a little while. What about you?" Cassandra said.
"I decided to do this for future credit and just so I keep myself busy." I said. She didn't look surprised from that. She then looked at Candy who I think she was looking for me? Cassandra then decided to grab me by the hand and pull me into a back room behind the stage. "What the hell?" I said a bit loudly. "Shh. I didn't want to ask you this in front of Candy so. But why have you been trying to ignore me?" Cassandra said. It was really dark so I didn't know if she was angry at me or not.
"Uh..." I said quietly. I was also shaking because my fear of Cassandra started to come back. I felt her hand grab my neck smoothly. I think that was already enough of a warning. "Cassandra, what the fuck is this about anymore?" I said feeling my face get red from this. Luckily, the lights were off, so she wouldn't notice it.
"Do you have a crush on me, Y/N?" She whispered into my ear. I freaked out and walked back, accidentally bumping into some equipment that made me fall. "Ow." I said putting my hands on my head where it had hit me. It made a loud noise.
"That made so much noise—" Cassandra said but then the lights turned on and saw Candy standing in the doorway. I saw that Cassandra also fell. It made it look like we were making out when really she had just fell. "AH I'M SO SORRY!" Candy said and slammed the door shut.

"Fuck. She's not gonna see me the same way anymore is she." I said still having a tear in my eye from my head hurting. "I should have maybe turned on the lights." Cassandra said but at the same time she didn't looked freaked out at all. "Look, Cassandra. I don't have a crush on you. What made you think that?" I said. Well I didn't know if I did or not. I can't think about it now. I fucked up the plan Hanzou gave me.
"Then why have you been ignoring me?" She asked confused. I could tell ignoring her was slowly hurting her in some way. "Cassandra, what do you see me as? A friend or an enemy?" I said trying to calm her down a bit.
She stood silent, and I waited for a response.
"I don't know?" Cassandra said. "I just don't get why you care about me. You and I don't really get along with each other. The only times you've actually done something good was the times you've saved me for no reason. Everything else is just either fighting or you trying to do some weird shit." I said looking at her. I had gotten rid of the fear I had for her. I knew I was gonna die anyways. Cyclops would never change his plan. He'll kill me soon, so I might as well just get Cassandra to stop caring about me.
"You just don't get it, Y/N." She told me. "Yeah, I don't. You help me, but then after you just betray me like if it was all manipulation." I said, remembering what Alucard told me.
I looked back at her, but when I did, she kissed me. I didn't know what to do. Was this bad? Shit this was bad. She still cares about me, and I'm definitely going to get killed from Cyclops. I quickly pulled her away.
Yes, I cared about her. I didn't want her to be sad because I died. It will just make her get upset for life. Or at least a good amount of time. "Cassandra, I'm sorry, but we can't do this." I told her. She only sighed and said, "I'm sorry." I didn't know what to say afterwards. "You don't have to apologize." I forced a smile. I wasn't really in a happy mood after I did that.
I have to tell Hanzou I fucked the plan up already. "I have to go." I told Cassandra and quickly headed out to find Hanzou. I saw Candy giving instructions to the workers. I ran up to her and said, "Hey, Candy. I think I'm gonna have to quit for now."
"Alright." She said. I then ran off and yelled, "Don't tell ANYONE about what you saw in the back room!"
"I won't!" Candy yelled back making sure I heard. I need to find Hanzou. Wherever he is. Then I'll tell him everything.

Petmaster Evolutions
This is a story about an ordinary earthling that sees the impossible and because of that gets kidnapped and introduced the the system called Odyssey which infects planets with mana to create monsters. This story will follow his journey through his trials. I do not believe in overpowered so I will not allow the MC to get to god mode. Since I started writing, the story has evolved some from chapter 1 on through as some stuff just did not make sense and in my mind the story has become clearer. Eventually I will have to go back and edit the beginning chapters to match the rest of the story but I do not have time at the moment. I will update as often as possible but I work full time, school full time, and have a 18 month old and an infant. I make no promises on time between new chapters. Honestly I did not expect people to follow the story and I just wanted to write for the fun of it and to see how the story that was running around in my head came out. I appreciate all of you who take the time to read my story and help me make it better by pointing out any mistakes I make. The only editing and proofreading I manage to do is the word app Grammarly so I miss things sometimes.
