Being a maid in the Senate was quite an interesting job. It does not only go around cleaning, welcoming guests, helping out the droids and all that jazz. For my and everyone's safety every staff should know how to defend themselves just in case. Carrying a weapon around the building is allowed, as long as it stays hidden. My blaster always pinches my thigh with it's cold metal surface, always reminding me to stay alert. Today was one of the many days I had to have my eyes open.
Senator Amidala was coming back from Naboo and I had to take care of her arrival. She would always request my assistance, I guess she really trusted me. It was truly an honor.
Her ship smoothly landed a few meters from my and the guards. The metal door slowly opening revealed her feminine shylouette.
- Lady (L/N)! How good to see you again. - said Padmé coming closer.
- Senator, my pleasure. Hope you had a safe trip?
- Ofcourse! Having a jedi on board keeps danger away.
Did she say jedi? I haven't really met one not privately I guess. A tall young man walked beside the senator:
- (Y/N), meet my personal guard, Anakin Skywalker. - announce Padmé and the jedi brought my hand to his lips.
- Nice to meet you, m'lady. - he said in a deep voice.
-There is no need for formalities, master - I smiled and bowed automatically.
- As you wish...-he smirked my name leaving his lips making me feel weird. Not uncomfortable. Not pleased.
- Well then. - a droid joined us. - Master Skywalker follow me.
- I guess you are coming with me then. - I laughed and Padmé gifted me with her famous soft grin.

We were walking down the hallway to her quarters, chatting about small things and making jokes. You know, girly stuff. She was telling me one of her many exciting stories:
- And as I thought that the assassin got me, Master Skywalker surprised him and caught him on the spot. It was pretty impressive if I should say so.
- He seems like a handy guy to me. - I said and started looking around.
Padmé giggled - Well, yes, technically.
- Can I ask you something... - my cheeks burned.
- Sure, (Y/N). Don't worry.
- I don't know much about the jedi and their ideas but... I've heard that they can't be involved in relationships? Why is that?
- I'm not sure myself but I wonder what sparked your interest so suddenly? - I avoided her glance.
- I-...well...um.
- He is quite the charmer, isn't he? - laughed Padmé.
- Excuse me?
- Aw c'mon (Y/N). You see the first Jedi and you are already drooling over him. - shrugged me the senator.
- No! No no no no no. You got me all wrong!
- Really?
- Just curious, you know. Also I've seen Jedi before just...haven't really met any.
- Oh, i see.
- But about one thing I agree...
- Hmm?
- Won't tell. You can't be the only tease here. - I smirked and my friend laughed.
Carried away in sweet talks we reached her room.
- Here we are, Miss Amidala.
- Why thank you (Y/N). Will you join us for dinner?
- You know, I'm everywhere, anytime.- I smiled and headed to my room.
************************************
Serving official dinners was always important so my looks had to be formal enough for the occasion. I looked through my closet and picked maybe my favourite dress.

I let my hair flow and put some blush on my cheeks. Before heading to the dining hall I had to inform the guests about the soon beginning dinner.
Now there was one guest left. That jedu guy. Anakin. I walked to his room, knocking.
- Master Skywalker, the dinner will begin soon. Would you like any specific beverage to be served for you?
Silence.
- Master?
Nothing again. I was pretty sure he was in the room. What if something happened? A few minutes ago my schedule said that he logged in before 15 minutes and haven't logged out.
Weird.
This is when I noticed the door was slightly opened. He is a jedi. Jedis get in trouble. I can be of help the Force knows what might've happened. I just had a bad feeling about this.
So I walked in, the room looking normal, nothing out of the ordinary.
- Brave of you to come in. - said a voice.
I turned around and- Anakin was standing there, water dripping from his hair, his bare chest shining on the light.
- I'm so sorry, Master! Just thought that something might've happened and you might need my assistance. - I stuttered and looked away.
- Well, as you mentioned services...-he paused.
My mind was processing all the possibilities but one stood out. And I did not like it. Not admitting to.
- If you need me, you know how to call me. - I said and was about to leave when his cold hand caught mine.
- Wait. (Y/N). I just wanted to say that this color really suits you. Looks pretty on you. - I didn't know if his face was red from the heat or he was just shy.
- Thank you, Master. Very kind of you.
- Master? I thought we ledt formalities behind?
- Yes, yes. My apologies, Anakin. - his name left a sweet taste in my mouth.
A smile landed on his face.
- If you excuse me, I gotta get dressed. I mean this won't be too appropriate won't it. - he laughed.
I just stood there actually realizing that he was naked.
- What? Are you going to help me get dressed? - he smirked.
- I mean if you want to, if that's you wish I-
- (Y/N), we just met. Don't worry. I won't make you do such things.
- But that's my duty...
- So is my duty to protect people, so is protecting everyone and you.
- Yes, duty...
I stopped at the door.
- Anakin, may I ask a question?
- Sure.
- Why are jedi not allowed to be in relationships?
- Who told you that silly thing? - he laughed.
- I thought-
- I was kidding. It's true. But personally I would make exceptions. - he smirked.
- Well, that's not the answer I expected but thank you anyways.
- No need to. That's my duty, to help people in every way possible.
"So was my duty not to fall in love with a jedi" I thought as I left the room.
(A/N)
This is pretty random and didn't really have an idea what I was doing but eh😂 Might make a part 2 👁👄👁

First Iteration
What is a soul ? Is it your true self ? Would you be the same if your soul kept traveling from life to life but your memories faded for each new life you had ? This became an even greater truth as progenitors, the first of their cycle, became scarce. As hundreds of new progenitors were born each century, nowadays, no more than a handful of them appeared every 200 hundreds years. As they represent a new cycle, they embody new opportunities: some progenitors have made kingdoms, others have been their doom. So when four of them appeared at the same place, at the same time, how can it not be perceived as a sign ? A sign that things were about to change…

Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
