I stare in shock. I mean, we've been together for almost 2 years anyways. So it seems right for us to move in. And we'll be married soon. Should I move in? I'm gonna be 21 in a few weeks anyways, so I won't be so young.

"Vinnie, are you sure?" Is all I can muster out.

"Yes, Ansh. We're getting married anyways. And in the future, maybe we can buy a house. I imagine one by the ocean's shore, a mansion. It'll be perfect for when we have kids." Vinnie smiles at me and I can feel my heart burst. He wants to have kids with me?

"Vinnie, that's amazing. And you see us having kids?"

"What, is that a deal breaker?" His face goes down.

"No, of course it's not! I want kids, and especially with you. And I love the idea of the ocean. And to answer your question... yes. I'll move in."

He practically screams, and we hug tightly and Mani looks at us as if we're crazy. We laugh at her and she shakes her head.

"Mani, I'm gonna move in with Vinnie. Can you help convince Mom?" She squeals, and agrees.

"Of course I'll help Ansh. This is a big deal too! And I know you'll be ready." I smile and hug her.

"Thank you so much!"

We all drive to my house. We have a lot of convincing to do.

Surprisingly, my mom listened to us. We gave her a lot of reasons, and she thought it would be fit for us to move in with each other before the wedding. My dad was more stubborn but my mom got through to him.

Since I head back to college on Monday we have to pack some stuff. I'm only taking my clothes and jewelry and stuff like that with me to Vinnie's place. I'll still keep the same curtains and furniture and bed in my room just in case.

We decide to start packing today. My mom helps and she takes my lehenga so she can add some adjustments to it. She's going to the seamstress because she wants me to look even more extravagant in the lehenga.

"Ansh, can we talk?" My dad walks into my room. Vinnie says he'll handle my clothes.

"Sure, dad."

"Ansh, you know I love you. And I know you're not that far away. But I'll miss you so so much. I love you sweetheart. And just know that you'll always be my little girl. And don't think that you're a stranger to this home. This is still your house. And you better visit after your marriage! Well now I'm crying. I love you my little girl." Tears come down both of our faces and we embrace. I'm going to miss my family a lot, even though we're not that far.

I look back at my house and smile. I'll miss it here.
