(Steven and Jasper finally arrive on Homeworld warp pad.)
*looks around* They've taken over and changed everything. Just wait till the Diamonds see all this–
*interrupts* My Diamond, look at that! *points up to the roof of a building* There's the Diamonds' ships!

(Steven looks up and sees that the Diamonds' ships are parked in their usual spot, including Pink's.)
No way, it's true! What the heck are their ships doing on Homeworld?! Weren't the Diamonds supposed to be on vacation?!
Maybe they went on, whatever you said, in another ship so as not to attract attention.
Most likely. The Diamonds doesn't matter now, though! Come on, let's get into the palace and save our friends!
YOUR friends you mean, don't you?
Yeah, whatever. Let's go!
(Once they enter the palace, Steven and Jasper walk to the area where the Diamonds' thrones are located and immediately notice someone sitting on Pink Diamond's throne.)
Well, well, well! Look who we have here.
*surprised* You?
Hello there, Steven Universe! Long time no see, huh?
Yeah, it's been too long... Holly!
(It's Holly Blue Agate, she's the one sitting on Pink Diamond's throne.)
I was waiting for you, Steven. Emerald told me to receive you properly, and here I am.
Did she rejuvenate you?
Haha, you're completely wrong! I don't need to be rejuvenated to loathe era three, I've loathed it since its dawn!

This new era is a complete mess, a total disrespect for order! There's no authority, no control, no rules, no NOTHING!! Everybody does whatever the hell they want without being punished for it!
That's exactly what era three is all about, freeing everyone from the oppression of Diamond authority! I can't get it through my head that you guys want to go back to that kind of life!

(Suddenly, a large number of Gems who were hiding in the Palace emerge from everywhere, ambushing Steven and Jasper.)
An ambush! My diamond, we've been surrounded!!
I can see that. *looks around* All these Gems are old acquaintances from the human zoo; Amethysts, Jaspers, and Rose Quartzes.
When Emerald, Bluebird and other Gems attacked the Zoo a few months ago, I joined their cause without a second's hesitation. The rest of the Gems, however, were rejuvenated without exception. Shortly thereafter we crashed the Zoo into a planet, the nasty humans were still in it, of course. I assume they all died on impact. *chuckles* Well, that's what they get for being a lower life form. *she sneered*
*angered* Grrr! I've had enough!!
(A rage-blinded Steven charges at Holly Blue, but of the bunch of Gems, one in particular lunges at him and blocks his attack on Holly.)
*shocked* What the-! It's you! Garnet!
Stay away from her! *punches Steven right in the face*
(Garnet's punch sends Steven back to the ground, leaving him lying face down.)

*in pain* Aghh! *stands up* That-that really hurt! *looks around more carefully* So... they're here too, huh? Garnet, Amethyst and Spinel. I hadn't noticed their presence.
(An enraged Steven yells at Holly Blue Agate.)
Hey! What have you done to my friends?! And where are the rest of them?!
You think I'm stupid enough to tell you that, huh?
*shouting* Oh come on, I demand that you tell me right away!!
Ugh, fine. Since you're asking so nicely, I'll tell you.
Well?
You see... After being rejuvenated, the Gems are a bit lost, confused and also empty-minded.
What?!
But after arduous training they became perfect fighting machines for our army. *shouts* That was the fate of all your Gems, Steven! They're now our property! Face it! *laughs hysterically*

Only the infighting between the savage dungeons allowed the sentient races to outlive these dark ages. Out of this struggle, adventurers were forged. By conquering weaker dungeons, adventurers discovered how to capture life energy to perform great feats of strength and create magic. Now, as adventurers pushed back dungeons, population boomed again. But with rising numbers comes new factions, greed, and war. Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic.
