(Stevonnie attempts to parry Jasper's spin dash attack, but fails and is sent flying through a boulder into another boulder, generating a cloud of dust.)
*coughs from the dust* It can't be!
(The cloud of dust clears to reveal Stevonnie stuck to the boulder in a Stevonnie-shaped crater.)
I got stuck! *trying to get unstuck* I can't get free!
*chuckling* You're right where I want you.
Time out! I call time out!!
Time out, my ass! Now I can punch you as many punches as I want.
Wait, hold on! That's cheating!
At what point did we set rules for this fight, huh?
You... You actually have a good poin– *gets punched on the cheek by Jasper*
(Jasper repeatedly punches Stevonnie with great force to the point where it causes them to unfuse, separating back into Steven and Connie.)
*confused* What the-?! What is this?! Who are you?!
Jasper, please calm down and let's talk, okay?!
Talk to my fists, you miserable bastard! *attempts to punch Steven and Connie*
Oh boy! *summons his bubble shield to protect Connie and himself*
What the-? *begins to punch the bubble* Get out of there, you cowards!
[At the same time.]
(The Amethysts are being overwhelmed by the other Quartz Gems, as they were fewer in number.)
No way! Most of the Famethysts have already been defeated! We gotta help them!
We still can't. We just need a little more time to rest.
Come on, you clods, bring it on!
(Peridot fires several energy blasts wildly, poofing many of the enemy Gems disappear and thus preventing others from getting close to them.)
*firing* Take some of this! And this! And this too!
(A Gem pops up out of nowhere and charges at them, but Peridot poofs her by firing an energy blast at her that passes just inches from the Pearl's head.)

*covering her head with her arms* Hey, Peridot! Be more careful or you're going to kill someone!
I'm sorry! But they keep popping up from everywhere. I don't know if I can keep them away any longer.
*to Garnet* I think we've had enough rest-
*interrupts* Guys, look over there! *points to Steven and Connie* They're in trouble!
We must help them!
Okay, okay, you guys win. We haven't fully recovered, but let's fuse again!
(Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl fuse into Alexandrite.)
*roars* Everyone better calm down right now!!! *roars very loudly*
(Some of the enemy Gems are terrified to witness Alexandrite.)
What the-? *looks up at Alexandrite* Wh-what is that thing? A fusion?
You too, Jasper! Leave them alone!
Tsk! *jumps away from Steven and Connie* There's no choice. *shouts to the fellow gems* All remaining Gems, listen up...! Retreat! Well, just for now.
(All enemy Gems quickly retreat.)
Are you two okay?!
Yes. *makes his bubble disappear*
(Alexandrite collapses to her knees in exhaustion. She groans as she begins to unfuse, separating back in Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst, who breathe heavily.)
*panting* Well, I think you were right. We still need to rest some more.
Yeah, it was too much effort for us.
Then let's go to the abandoned area of Homeworld, there we can rest and maybe we'll be safer.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Nightcore Trilogy
Going to space was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but for Reece Danielson and his crew, it was only the beginning. As the fresh astronauts aboard the Zhengzhou International Space Station start their on-the-job training, Reece is shown a discovery that changes his entire worldview. It isn’t long before a tragic accident aboard the station sets off a series of events that not only puts the crew in danger but at odds with each other. The events quickly escalate into a man-made apocalyptic incident on the surface of the planet. A virulent plague is prematurely released which transforms everyone into flesh-eating undead, and that is only the beginning of the troubles. There are far worse things down there than zombies and possibly a few of them lurk on the station itself. The Nightcore Trilogy thematically begins with a heavy sci-fi feel coupled to a gritty space-based horror mystery. The story's layers are slowly peeled back, evolving into something much more supernatural, mythological, and high-fantasy-based. It's a mix of elements from survival horror, zombie apocalypses, ancient mythologies, supernatural stories, and harem anime. It contains semi-descriptive sex scenes (traditional and non-traditional), descriptions of gore, profanity, and adult situations, so I recommend it for mature and open-minded audiences only.

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!
