Peridot, Connie, can you hold these Gems for me? *freezes the water chains* I'll catch Spinel.

(Connie & Peridot hold tight to the ice chains, and Lapis flies around looking for Spinel.)

Where could she be?

*shouts* Lapis, look out, behind you!

Huh?!

(Spinel had come out of nowhere, attacking Lapis from behind with the rejuvenator.)

Dang it!

(With a maneuver, Lapis dodges Spinel's attack with difficulty. But even so, Spinel managed to cut off Lapis' water wings.)

*worried* Lapis!!

I'm fine! *lands on her feet* It was just my wings!

Tsk, I almost made it. *stretching herself to gain momentum*

: *cheering her on* You can, Spinel!

Yeah! You're my last hope. C'mon, rejuvenate her!

Here I go! *propels towards Lapis spinning with the rejuvenator*

(Lapis protects herself just in time with an ice wall in front of her, which was initially water that she made gush out of the ground and then instantly froze it.)

Okay, looks like it won't be as easy as I thought.

(Spinel swiftly stretches her body around the ice wall and attacks Lapis with the rejuvenator, but she manages to dodge her attack by flying upwards.)

Flying again, huh?

Tch! This Gem and that weapon are a real pain in the butt. *raises a giant water hand from the ground* I will have to get creative to beat her.

(Spinel grabs the rejuvenator with her mouth and, using her legs as springs jumps into the air with great force. Then Spinel begins to turn quickly emulating the shape of a drill with her arms, she manages to drill right through the water hand, reaching the same height at which Lapis flies.)

*surprised* What?!!

(Spinel enlarges her hands and performs a double axe handle on Lapis, sending her crashing down to the ground.)

*groans in pain* H-hell, that hurt!

(In midair, Spinel makes her hands return to their original size and then lunges at Lapis trying to slash her with the rejuvenator, but Lapis rolls on the ground dodging her just in time and then gets to her feet performing a kip-up.)

Not so fast! *bounces herself like a spring, lunging at Lapis with the rejuvenating*

*dodges out of the way with difficulty* That was very close!

(Using the boulders, Spinel constantly bounces herself to keep attacking Lapis faster.)

*summons her water wings, forming fists from them* Take this!

(Lapis punches Spinel, sending her flying back into a rock. The punch stunned Spinel a bit, so Lapis took the opportunity to hide in the rubble.)

Geez! *already recovered* She got away from me.

Tch! *thinking to herself* How do I make her stop moving? She doesn't even give me time to focus on accumulating water... *looking around* That's it! Now I know what to do...

*looking for Lapis* Come out, come out, wherever you are!

This way! *she shouted hidden behind a rock to Spinel's right*

You idiot, now you're mine!

(Without thinking, Spinel stretches herself taking momentum and jumps towards the rock in which Lapis is hiding. Spinel quickly surrounds the rock and slashes Lapis with the rejuvenator, cutting off her head.)

*chuckles mockingly* She was so stupid to... *notices something strange* What the-?!

(Actually, Spinel only cut off the head of a Lapis-shaped water clone.)

*comes out of her real hiding place* I got you right where I want you!

(Lapis immediately uses that same water, wrapping Spinel's hands, shackling her and causing her to drop the rejuvenator.)

No way! *makes her legs like springs and attempts to jump*

(But the ground breaks open and two water chains emerge, shackling Spinel's legs and instantly pulling her down hard until her body is buried up to her neck.)

It's over. *walks over to Spinel* This way you won't be able to move anymore.

Yikes! *struggling to break free* Why is it so tight here?

Right below where you were there was some standing water, so it occurred to me to bury you with it and then freeze it to stop your movements.

Tch! *shapeshifts her body to a smaller one, but she can't come out of the ice* What?!

You're literally up to your neck in solid ice, so I don't think your Gem can come out of there just shapeshifting.

Grrr! *grumbles* Let me go!

Not a chance. *turns to the rejuvenetor* On the other hand. *picks it up*

*in fear* Wait! What are you going to do?!

This thing is such a hassle. *breaks the rejuvenator in two over her knee*

(Connie and Peridot approach Lapis.)

*sarcastically* Hey guys, I just want you to know I'd have never made it without your help. *gives a thumbs-up*

We thought you had it! You took down Alexandrite and the new Malachite single-handedly.

I'm not very good at hand-to-hand fighting, no Lapis Lazuli really is. And believe it or not, it's easier to catch a giant than an elusive little rat.

That makes no sense.

Well, a giant can't move very freely and they have more blind spots.

As they say out there - the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
