Steven, I think it's time you told us what the heck happened in our little... absence.
Hmm okay, I'll tell you...
(Later. Steven has already told the Diamonds everything that happened.)
*dramatically* I can't believe it, that's so terrible. Our little Gems rejuvenated!
Please stop overdramatize the situation, don't be a drama queen.
Sorry, it's just... I like it.
*grimace of disgust* Uh, okay?
Steven, I just hope you realize that giving everyone free will and having no rules was very detrimental to everyone.
Yeah. We got too soft on Gems from the moment we started helping them
We even got to a point where we just turned our backs and someone took the opportunity to attack us.
Nobody has respect for us now.
*dramatically* And we, who had the best intention in the universe to help the little gems. But a cruel gem came and controlled us without mercy against our will just to do her bad deeds. Just thinking about it makes me feel so... bad!
Don't play the victim either, White. You know we've done worse things.
This is nothing compared to what we did in the past, I think to some extent we deserved what happened to us, didn't we?
That doesn't matter now. I've been thinking about what you told me a while ago and I must admit you guys were right.
What's that, Steven?
Could you repeat it please?
*grumble* I said... you guys were right.
Just one more time, I have no ears so I can't hear you very well.
No Gem has ears, and yet they all hear very well!
Anyway, forget it. I knew that one day you would give us the reason.
I think I came to the conclusion that we need some rules.
As before?
Of course not!! There will only be a few rules, fair, egalitarian and not at all harsh!

And what was the reason that made you change your mind?
True. You have always been so obsessed with the freedom.
Well, freedom is good and necessary for everyone, but now I know that there will always be people who will use it in a bad way to harm others. So now I think there should be certain restrictions that serve to help and protect, but above all, to avoid all kinds of bad deeds.
Very well. We will handle that, we create the rules you say. After all we are experts on the subject, apart from that we love helping others, right?
Yeah. Leave it to us, let's get started right now.
B And then when we have them done, we will discuss them with you so you can tell us what you think, Steven.
Okay. But now the main thing is to help the Gems on Homeworld and other planets.

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.

Updates Sunday - Tuesday - Thursday![successful participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Rating: This should align pretty closely with your typical MCU movie, so PG-13 for scenes of fantasy violence. There'll be gore and some swearing but not much beyond that. If that changes, I'll warn you. MC: Shaya is analytical, but begins the story emotional and impulsive. She leans towards rationality and uses this to control her demonic impulses to the best of her abilities. She begins the story as a somewhat capable protagonist, but grows in power steadily through hard work and diligence. Fights: ...I like fight scenes. They’re going to be detailed, but I won’t drown you in description of individual hand movements or footwork. I like fights that can be solved like puzzles by the audience, where creative thinking wins the day using tools you know the protagonist has at their disposal.
