Yay here it is my kittens!!! The next chappie!! And this chapter, not gonna lie, took this whole month to write! Why? Cause not only is it one of the longest, over 6000 words, but I tried jamming in about 3 episodes into this one lengthy beautiful chapter!
So this was fun yet tiring to write and also since it also introduces the ladies' favorite Dark Signer~ I still had to edit a lot and try to not put the whole duel in there while keeping to the original and adding oi vei. Also the drawing will be important to the chappie!
But most importantly, I would like to personally thank a very special reader!! !!! Told ya I would tag ya~!! Thank you so much for telling me your suggestions and ideas!! While I cant promise all of them will be written, I can promise I truly love listening to them and take them into consideration!! Thank you again so so much!
Hehe now time for the ordinary shpeel! You all know it by now!! I dont own Yugioh 5Ds, just the OCs and original cards also this story!! Italicized words are card names!! Please enjoy, comment, and vote!! Till next time then!
Last time in Yugioh 5Ds Lost Memories!! Yusei and I made it to Satellite, sticking the landing of course though nearly DYING!! But I digress. When we touched down that's where I met a face I should know, but I don't. Crow Hogan, or as I like to call him, Carrot Top! It was weird at first yet he made it clear that with memories or without I'm still me, just like how Yusei sees it! We then went to his hideout and where I met some more old friends, but it was harder telling... But after a run in with the law, we're all safe in Crow's Hideout! At least I hope so. Those Dark Signers are out there.
Sakura Hamada looked out of the window inside the hideout that belonged to Tanner and Yusei's friend Blister. Something just couldn't sit right with her as she looked up at the sky and smog of the city and the light illuminating the night clouds. Even in the rougher part of New Domino City, she could only imagine how much worst it must be in Satellite.
Where Yusei and Cathy are.
She sipped her ice tea, only making it since boiling water would disturb and wake the others, her mind couldn't help wandered to the images of the Crimson Dragon she saw at the Fortune Cup.
It was so ethereal and magnificent. Something that the stories her family would describe seemed to have gotten right. A small soft smile graced her lips holding her cup tighter and leaning her now down purple haired head against the windowsill.
"You would've loved seeing it Haru..." She whispered closing her eyes.
"Can't sleep?" Gasping in surprise, the young woman looked to see Bolt Tanner had gotten up the couch he was sleeping on and walking up to her quietly. For a tall muscular man, he sure had silent footsteps.
Smiling now with a solemn look, she shook her head bringing her eyes too watch the ice swirl in her cup. "No... I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" Sakura asked in a whisper.
Though Tanner replied with a shake of his head as well and began to inquire. "Who's Haru? If you don't mind me asking."
He could tell just by how she said the name and the gleam in her eyes that seemed to be wetting with tears, it was a touchy subject. If it made her uncomfortable to talk about he would just drop it.

A sigh left the females lips before her eyes glanced at Tanner then looking back out the window. "He was my little brother..." She mumbled subconsciously tracing the bottom rim of her cup. "He enjoyed listening to my parents' stories. Especially the story of the Crimson Dragon."
"Him and I would duel almost everyday after the chores were completed. My parents at the time were too busy caring for my littlest brother who was an infant. So they didn't mind." Tanner watched her lips curve into a soft smile till it slowly disappeared. "Then that day happened... He got severely sick one day. We took him to the hospital and...." Tears began to pool in her red eyes while a small hiccup escaped. She covered her mouth with her hand.
Tanner stepped closer to her and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder with sad eyes looking at her. "W- we dueled that day..." She stuttered out in a whisper. "It was his turn a- and before his move he asked me to n- never stop dueling... He didn't complete his turn."
Just her words, so solemn, yet she spoke them like she's said them before. Her eyes cried faster closing them and sniffling harder trying to suppress them. The taller male didn't know what to do in this situation seeing her cry, but thought of one thing that might help.
He took her skinny frame in his arms wrapping them tightly yet gentle enough not to hurt her. One hand wrapped around Sakura's shoulders and the other petted her now down long purple hair. "It's okay. He's somewhere better now."
Sakura looked surprised at first but hugged him back tightly. "Thank you."
There was a silence between the two that wasn't awkward but comfortable. It lasted for some seconds before one broke the silence. "My parents after that banned anything that reminded them of Haru's death. But I still dueled cause I wanted to cause I promised him I wouldn't stop..." Taking a deep breath but hesitant she finally said, "they know I was in the tournament.... And want me to return to the shrine and burn my cards."
Jumping a bit shocked and pulling away slightly, teal eyes looked at her red ones wide eyed. "Are you kidding me? They can't do that!" He exclaimed though his voice caused a groan and grumble from the people still asleep around them in the hideout.
Sakura took a step back keeping her head low. "They can. And I have to abide by them because I live with them. They're my parents."
"But aren't you an adult and can follow your own decisions?"
"It's not that simple Tanner."
One snort and huff from the muscular man made her chuckle lightly. "It's not right..."
Her small hand reached up slightly gently placing them on his cheeks lightly touching his marks. He looked at her again noticing the slight pink dust on her cheeks even in the darkness. They stared into each others eyes for a bit. "I'll think of something. Don't worry."
Time seemed to freeze and stop for the pair. They wouldn't be opposed to it if that happened.
A soft red glow emitting from the other side of the room broke them out of their thoughts to turn and see Luna sitting up and groaning while she gripped her right arm that was the source of the light.
Sakura walked up to her concerned, "Luna sweetie what's wrong?"
"My mark... Somethings happening." She said worried feeling the claw mark on her arm begin to burn.

"What's with the night light?" Leo grumbled getting up as well from the other couch next to Yanagi. He saw Luna's arm and gasped, "what's going on?!"
"I don't know." Luna mumbled before she looked up at Sakura scared then turned her head slightly to see suddenly the spirit of Moonlight Angel next to the couch and stare at her arm.
"The war has begun." Was all he said causing her worry to grow.
"I think Cathy and Yusei are in trouble!"
There seemed to be nothing for miles. My eyes wandered around the place walking with bare feet. Every step I took, a ripple to the ink like floor went out. The black dress I wore now nearly blended into the background.
As I continued to walk, I had know idea where I was going, but believing there was a destination at the end of this.
Suddenly stopping and looking ahead, I saw six shadows ahead of me but they were surrounded by a soft red glow. They all looked to be dueling something ahead of them and just looked so familiar.
Hearing a roar, my head looked up to see the Crimson Dragon appearing in all its bright glory! Fear, anger, and pain filled my head while staring at the creature above.
Bringing my head back down to look at the figures, for some reason I wanted to run to them and help. But my legs felt stuck in place. Looking at my feet, I heard myself gasp seeing the ink almost swallowing my legs sinking me to the floor. I was now only knee deep and thrashed around struggling to get free but it only caused me to go down faster like quicksand.
Looking back at the figures and Crimson Dragon, I reached my hand out. Though ink like webs shot from the floor wrapping around my hand arm, bringing me down faster. I could feel nothing now but fear trying to scream but not a sound would come out of my throat.
'Stay down.' A voice I think I knew said.
Still sinking faster my hand raised reaching up, now neck deep I could see my pendant wasn't sinking down with me. While I was going deeper into the floor it laid on it.
"N- no..." I could barely whisper out before my head was completely submerged.
"Cathy!! Wake up!!"
My eyes shot open as I bolted up upright in a gasp. Scanning the room I was in now I could see and remembering I was in Itsuki and Annie's room. They were both up looking at me scared and worried but I can't remember what just happened.
"Cathy! Yusei and Crow are gone!! We don't know where they are!" I heard Rally's voice say and looking to my left I saw him and felt an overwhelming emotion of panic and worry. The wave of feelings woke me right up and I got up off the bed and grabbing my bag on the ground.
"You're kidding! When did they leave?!" I asked walking as fast as I could outside seeing the others up as well grouped together worried as well.
"We have no idea. They're duel runners are gone so they could be pretty far." Blitz said looking at me when they all heard me walk out.
Tank gasped with wide eyes, "what if the Dark Signers got them?!"
"We don't know that!" Rally told him but the shake in his voice was noticeable.
"I think we should all split up to find them." Nervin suggested making everyone agree.
I looked at Blister who was still sitting on the ground with all the other children. "You mind watching all the kids till we get back?" I asked and he gave a nod.
"Sure. I'll be here in case they get back here."
We were about to run off, but a small tug on my arm made me freeze and look behind me to see Itsuki and Annie the biggest source of the fear and worry aura. "You're leaving again?" Itsuki asked as his younger sister hugged his arms. Oh jeez I can't just leave these guys after I came back to them...
But I knelt down to their height bringing them into a hug. "W- what if you disappear again...?" Annie's voice shook while sniffling. I felt like I should stay... But what if Yusei was in trouble?
"I promise I won't. I'll come right back here after we grab Yusei and Crow. You can help me lecture them about disappearing when we get back! Okay? Now be good for Blister."
They only nodded in response agreeing when I pulled away giving my best assuring smile. Wiping their eyes one last time I got up and ran away separately from the group to help search for Yusei and Crow.
Jeez they will seriously be the death of me!! Just disappearing like that without saying anything and making us worried sick! They know that the dark signers are out there! What if they get hurt or worst?! What if I never see them-
I stopped in my tracks freezing on the sidewalk of the Satellite street.
"Was this how they felt when I suddenly disappeared...?" I asked nobody in particular. I subconsciously gripped the pendant on my chest hard. "Please be okay Yusei..."
"Milady! Your friend is in danger!! You shouldn't be just standing here!"
Wait a minute! "Moonlight Fairy?!"
Suddenly the spirit was flying in front of my face with a big grin. "It's so good to see you milady!!! I have missed you!!" She said happily and hugged my face.
Even though she's a spirit, and I can't feel her emotions, I could somehow feel her touch on my face. "Um I've missed you too. What are you doing here?"
"Because, the war is now beginning! The first battle is starting!"
"Woah woah woah. War and battle? Are you talking about the Dark Signers and the good ones like Yusei and the others?"
She nodded her tiny head and sat on my shoulders. Then with her small hand raised up to the sky she pointed to something. I looked at where and my eyes got wider. Literally reflecting off the clouds like lights was a symbol I recognized from the vision I saw at the Fortune Cup. It was the humanoid looking one.
"No... Please don't tell me..." I couldn't and didn't even want to finish that statement... Please let it not be true...
"Yusei is there... Facing off against the first real Dark Signers."
Fairy's confirmation made me bolt down the street again faster then ever.
He's there! Facing off against another Dark Signer! But something told me it won't be as easy like the drones. This was the real deal!
I didn't even realize that my spirit friend was gone, and without even a map I seemed to know which turns to take and go to. Like I really did know this place inside and out.
"Child. You mustn't continue." I heard Artemis try to stop me but I tuned her out as fast I could.
I don't have time for this! Wether she likes it or not, I have to get to Yusei.
When I got further down the street, I could see something blocking up ahead. It looked purple and bright and getting closer I saw that they were flames! Similar to the energy ring that trapped me with the shadow clone!!
I stopped a ways away, afraid to get close to it. I don't know if I was panting cause of my running or the fact I was trying not to imagine these purple flames red and orange...
Looking around and following along the flames I tried to find any way to see it fully or at least an opening. This one was definitely bigger then the first ring...
All of a sudden I heard the sound of motors and runners. Looking now behind me through the flames, I could see that it was two duel runners racing. One I immediately recognized by its red look and another I couldn't that was blue and yellow.
Each one of their sides had a monster on their field. I can only assume the duel just started right now.
Just as they were about to drive past me I stopped and watched them before yelling as loud as I could, "Yusei!!"
He seemed to be mid sentence when my voice called out to him. Right as he became parallel to me, our eyes locked, even if for a brief moment. I didn't need to hear him to know he said my name and was shocked at seeing me.
But they drove past me. I continued my run to find anything then I saw Crow on top of a hill looking over the whole thing.
My feet hurt from how fast I tried to climb the hill but finally made it to see Carrot Top on his runner. "Crow!"
He immediately turned his head also surprised to see me. "Cathy? What are you doing here?!"
"You're the one who left without a word." I said upset cause yeah! I am!
Though I bit my tounge from snapping more when I knew he was seriously worried. I walked up to him and stood next to him now getting a full view of the symbol that the purple flames created.
"It's begun hasn't it?" I don't know if I was asking Crow, myself, or someone else. But the wind began to blow harshly while a loud noise was heard above us. I looked up to see a helicopter and hanging out of it was, Jack?! What the?!
"Ahahaha I thought I recognized that voice calling out to you like always!! Looks like your little cheerleader made it!!" A totally new voice said in the speakers of Crow's runner. I dropped my bag and looked at the screen seeing who this Dark Signer was that Yusei was facing.
This guy had black and yellowish green eyes with light blue hair. But like Yusei's security mark, he had a red one on the other side along his face. His face looked a little familiar...
"I can't wait to destroy you Yusei so I can get to her next!" This psycho guy said and I won't lie, his threat did make me kind of scared...
"Kalin leave her alone, she's not apart of this! And has nothing to do with-" I heard Yusei say next.
Wait. Kalin?! As in the friend we all had that was a part of our duel gang, Kalin?! But didn't he say that we "lost" him before my sudden disappearance?
"Shut up!!! You both betrayed me and I'm going to look forward taking you both out!! You hear that Cathy?!"
I looked to where they both were riding and I saw Kalin looking at me. My body shook a bit grabbing my pendant gulping. His eyes were to far away to lock onto but I didn't need an empathic ability to know he was mad and probably hated me... I could hear his dark laugh from where I stood and it did not sound funny!
"You're gonna regret what you did!! It'll be so enjoyable when I beat you down the hardest~!"
"Okay... So I'm gonna assume he knows me... I know we were all a part of a duel gang and fought in Satellite." I mumbled to Crow a bit nervously. We both made eye contact and Oranges sighed.
He was sad yet also felt guilty. "Kalin was like our leader. We'd protect and fight for those who couldn't... I wish you remembered it Cathy. We all were called the The Enforcers or Team Satisfaction."
A flash of a vision suddenly came into view in Crow's eyes. It was in his point of view and I saw Yusei, Jack, a normal looking Kalin who no longer had the black and crazy look in his eyes, and... Me! The younger me I saw before. With her hair up and shorter and the familiar dark vest.
We all were grinning, then I watched my mouth move yet no sound came out of the vision like when I saw one in Jack's eyes. Probably cause I wasn't trying to focus. It I didn't watch the younger me sling her arms over Kalin's and Yusei's shoulders my grin brightening. We all looked... So happy.
The vision was about to change to a new one, but something in me told me to look away. Just as a splitting headache hit and I turned my head back to watch the duel. Why though then does Kalin have a grudge against us?
Please be careful Yusei.
They both were at 4000 life points. Yusei had Speed Warrior on his side of the field as Kalin had two monsters now on his field. Infernity Beast and Infernity Archfiend. I watched as Infernity Beast attacked Speed Warrior causing Yusei's life points to go to 3300!
Looking down at the track still I could see the red duel runner spin a bit before it leaned a ways to the side where it looked like he was going against that energy field! "Yusei!" I cried out worried and covering my mouth.
"Hang in there buddy!" Crow called out too behind me a bit.
Hearing Kalin's laughter so psychotic made me sick to my stomach a bit. "And that's not all old friend! Hey Cathy, ready to watch your 'bestie' be destroyed?! Now my Archfiend attack his life points directly!!"
No!! If that hits then that's some serious damage!! Come on!
"Not this time Kalin! I'm activating my trap card, Scrap Iron Scarecrow." The attack was stopped and blocked and I think I could breathe again.
I walked back to Crow's runner looking over at the monitor. "That was a close one." I mumbled to him.
"Too close if you ask me. I know Kalin won't and already isn't holding back. It's just gonna get worst."
