Cale placed the box carefully on the nightstand, and plopped on his soft bed. He made a quick scan of the novel inside his head.
'I need to get the Indestructible Shield first. I need to at least be able to protect myself. Also a quick grasp of Vitality of Heart on the way to the capital. If I make use of the time well, maybe I could save the black Dragon as well. He is pitiful enough to get tortured as soon as he hatched and he even got killed by Choi Han at the age of four. Dragon or not, kids shouldn't be mistreated or starved. There are many things to think about. I only have a rough plan in my head. So, I should focus on Choi Han first. He needs help and I don't want to be beaten up.'
Cale closed his eyes to wait for time to past, and then he finally hear a knocking sound.
"The study is ready, young master" Hans's voice was heard from behind the door.
"Finally!" Cale got up.

After ordering Hans not to let anyone disturbed him, Cale checked the cheque he got from Hans.
He face-palmed himself as soon as he saw the numbers on the cheque. "I remember I have large allowance, but I'm sure it's not this much. 10 million gallons. Did father misunderstand something? Hmm. Not that I'm complaining, I need a lot of money for my preparation to capital."
Cale put the cheque safely into his pocket and turned to the Enchanted box his mother left behind.
"Father said that only I could open the box..." Cale inspected the box. "Blood? Maybe."
Cale looked around and stared at the sharp letter opener. "I hate pain."

He quickly cut the tip of his finger and dropped a few drops of blood on the magic circle on top of the box.
Ooong~ There was a small vibration from the box and it opened without any issues.
Inside the box was Jur's diary, a red book, as red as his and his mother's hair.
Cale forgot about his bleeding for a moment. He picked up the book and touched it tenderly. "Mom."
He took a deep breath before opening the book.
Hello, my dear Cale. If you're reading this diary, it means that the God has kept their promise. But I hope that you, my child, wouldn't focus just on the pain you have experienced. I sincerely wish that you would find the happiness you've been waiting for all this time. >
Anyway there are something I need you to know. I was the wielder of an Ancient Power called The Annual Ring of Life. It allows me to see a living being's time. That is how I could do everything I've done as soon as I saw how your time twisted. >
Cale, I have left half of my Ancient Power in Harris Village, while I keep at other half with me, so it's likely to be at the place I am buried. You'll need the Ancient power one day, but I hope that you'll think carefully before you go and get it. I never want to see you hurt yourself. >
Cale paused his reading. "Is that why Arm massacre everyone in Harris village for seemingly no reason? So that's also mean that bast*rd has her Ancient Power."
Cale clenched his fist when he reached that conclusion. The wound at his finger which has already stopped bleeding, started to bleed again.
A few drops of blood fell on the table Cale was sitting at. Cale came to his sense when another drop of blood nearly dropped on the book.

"Can't let the blood stain mom's book." Cale mumbled and wiped the blood on his hand clean with his clothes.
Cale dear, another thing you need to know is what the Thames family had been researched on [Time and Life]. >
The cycle of life is the cycle of reincarnation. It means to be born with new body and new memories. But there are always exceptions to everything. In this case, there are two exceptions. >
Single-lifer who cannot reincarnate and Immortal who lives forever. Though there are variables to these two exceptions as well. Reincarnator and Transmigrator. >
There is also Regressor who returns to the past. This is known to be impossible, but you who read this diary has already been a prime example of Regressor. >
The reason we divide them as Exceptions and Variables is because Reincarnator and Transmigrator, as Variables, always have a soul that is impacted by them. >
Transmigrator could cause significant chaos to the soul that has its body taken. >
Cale, your soul has been impacted by a Reincarnator. For unknown reason, your soul didn't drift to other dimension as it should be. >
Cale's tears fell down his cheeks when he read to this point. "I'm glad I was born as your son, too. I'll make sure your sacrifice for me won't be in vain."
Cale let himself cried for a few moments. He wiped his tears as he remembered that he hadn't finished the content of the book yet.
You should also learnt about Single-Lifer and Immortal. Sometimes, when the world was in danger, Gods who couldn't intervene themselves will choose to call upon Single-Lifer or Immortal. It is because those people do not impact other souls even if they move to other dimension. >
Choi Han. He was the only one Cale could think of after reading this part.
The novel [the Birth of a Hero] contained information that he didn't know even from his past life. It was mentioned that Choi Han was called to this world from Korea. And he had been stuck in the Forest of Darkness for tens of years.
Cale shook his head. 'Let's think about it after I'm done reading.'
Cale, when I was at Harris Village, I have sensed two more ancient powers inside the Forest of Darkness. One is located inside a cave; the other is located inside the swamp of dead mana. >
I hope that all these information could help you even a little. I hope you would take care of yourself, my son. >
"I guess the shield is a must get now than ever. I should try asking father for a spatial bag." Cale put the book back into the box and look at the time.
"It seems I skipped lunch. Now I feel hungry. Let's go steal some of Beacrox's food."
******
Tsuki: Do you think Cale could escape unharmed while trying to steal food? He couldn't help it, Beacrox's food is a masterpiece that couldn't be replaced.
Hope you enjoy my version of Cale's story. Enjoy!

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
