《How Cale Henituse Changes His Future》Chapter 93: Getting an Ancient Power & Gaining a Mansion Along the Way

The next morning, Cale had once again gather the people who would be going into the Inner region of the Forest of Darkness with him.
He had already informed Hans about it as well as telling the Wolf children to train well while they were gone.
"Raon, do you remember the coordinates of the swamp last time? Could you and miss Rosalyn teleport us there? We could save a few days if we could teleport there."
"Of course, Human. I listened to you and remembered the coordinates of that swamp." Raon spoke confidently.
"There's no problem teleport if it's just this few people." Rosalyn confirmed. "I will help Raon-nim, since it is his first time teleport a lot of people at once."
Cale nodded his head, watching as Rosalyn and Raon prepared the magic circle.
On and Hong was carried by Choi Han, who stood on Cale's right side while Ron with Beacrox behind him, were standing on Cale's left side.
"Okay, it's ready, Human."
"Let's go."
The light surrounded everyone before the house interior turned into the Forest scenery. They appeared right next to the crater that was previously a huge swamp of dead mana.
"What happened here?" Choi Han was shocked to see such crater.
"I sense mana? Wait, it this from magic bomb?" Rosalyn shouted in surprise.
"Good Rosalyn is smart. The great Raon Miru and his Human were the one to create this masterpiece! It's from my first made magic bombs." Raon boasted proudly.
Meanwhile, Cale looked away from all the gaze he got. "What? It was a swamp full of dead mana, it's harmful to everything. It's best that it was destroyed."
After saying that, Cale started to focus on listening to his Ancient Powers. "Okay, I have the general direction now, let's go."
Choi Han put the kittens down before stepped in front of Cale to lead. "Cale-nim, I'll be the vanguard, you just have to tell us the direction."
"I'll help you, Choi Han." Raon said, then he flew to the front as well.
"Then I guess I stayed at the rear with Mr. Beacrox." Rosalyn decided.
"Let's head straight toward the center for now. I will be able to sense better there."
Cale was releasing the Dominating Aura as they walked slowly towards the center. While Choi Han and Raon fought the monsters in front.
"...Cale-nim, the monsters are weird. They wasn't like this before." Choi Han came to report to Cale.
"Yes, they do seem weird." Ron agreed.
The monsters at the edge of the forest were acting weird.
Kiiiiiii- Huff, kiiiiiiiii- A goblin who could not even breathe properly ran away toward the grass.
Boom. Boom. Boom! A group of small monsters that looked like rats were all banging their heads on the ground while shaking.
Choi Han and everyone, who was watching the monsters with confusion, accepted what was going on once Cale pointed to himself.
"I guess my training with Ancient Power bear fruit. If I focus hard enough, I could specify the target I want."
Cale tried to release the aura everywhere for a split second, so his team could feel what he talked about, before focus the aura back on the monsters.
Cale immediately picked up the shivering kittens. "Oops, sorry. Just trying to make my point."
Rosalyn sighed, while Beacrox shook his head in disbelief. Ron was standing there with a little tremble in his arm. Even Choi Han was effected slightly.
"Human, you suddenly felt as strong as my front paw!" Raon was the only one unaffected.

"Yes. Yes. Let's us continue our journey." Cale said a little leisurely, but he actually quite focused right now.
After a long walk....
Grrrrr-
Choi Han wordlessly defeated the monster and informed everyone.
"We are currently at the boundary of the outer and inner regions of the Forest of Darkness."
Grrrr-
He could see another large monster as soon as he stepped foot into the inner region.
A monster that looked like a more violent version of an ogre showed itself from between the trees.
Its fangs were the size of Cale's arms and its black skin made it look uglier than an ogre. The club in its hand seemed to be made of rock.
However, this monster's eyes were focused. It seemed to have some intelligence.
It was at that moment.
Boom. The monster dropped the club in its hand and then...
Bang, bang! It started to bang its head on the ground.
It was quiet, too quiet. Everything suddenly became quiet.
At that moment, the group could hear someone's voice.
"Oh, you have some intelligence." It was Cale. "Hey."
Grrr.
"Lead us to the center."
Grr. The monster quickly got up.
Everyone felt like he had seen the speed of a knight in the monster's movement.
Bang! The monster grabbed its club once again and slammed it toward a short tree next to it.
Crack, boom. The tree fell over.
On and Hong gasped at the strength of the monster, but the monster's next few actions were even more surprising.
The monster was guiding them while destroying any obstacle in their way.
Trees, small boulders, tall weeds, nothing survived the monster's desire to create a straight path for Cale.
"Let's go."
After walking for a few moment. Suddenly, Cale put On and Hong down to the ground.
"...Young master?" Ron asked after seeing Cale in trance.
However, Cale could not hear Ron's question.
Boom. Boom. His heart had been beating wildly ever since they entered the inner region.
Cale lowered his head to look at the ground. Something, an unknown aura, was rising up from the ground. That aura made the his Ancient Powers appeared on their own.
A small shield appear on his left hand. It was the Indestructible Shield
• Cale, it's near, it's near. I can feel Super Rock!
Said Glutton
Boom. Boom. The aura made the Vitality of the Heart run wild.
• We'll guide you to him. So glad we'll meet again. *sob*
Said Crybaby
"...Huh?" Cale sounded confused.
Swiiiiiiiish- Wind started to gather down at his feet. The Sound of the Wind was creating a small whirlwind by his feet.
• You're definitely something, to find another one of our friends. Haha, you're so fucking lucky!
Said Thief
'...This is weird. This is very weird.'
"Hey, why are you doing that?" Raon was looking at Cale with confusion. "Why are you suddenly using your Ancient Powers together?! You cannot faint!"
The other people also got closer to Cale, while Raon shouted with anxiety.
"Human, what is going on? What's wrong? Did your ancient powers break?"
Cale slowly started to speak. "...I'm getting a feel for where it is."
It was an Eureka moment!
Cale quickly started to walk. He told the monster to leave before he looked toward everyone. "Let's go."
"I will take the lead again." Said Choi Han.
Ron, who had been observing Cale with a worried expression, started to walk beside Cale.
Cale was telling Choi Han where to go. "Let's turn to the left."

Boom. Boom. The ancient powers in his body, as well as the ground under his feet, were telling him where to go. It was impossible to explain this with words.
"To the Northwest."
"Now to the Northeast."
Cale finally stopped after a while.
They were near the Northern boundary of the inner region. Cale could see a boulder at this location.
It was just a large boulder that was about three times as tall as Cale. It looked just like your average boulder that could be found anywhere in the Henituse territory.
"Is it here?" Choi Han who was at the vanguard position, looked toward Cale and asked. However, he did not need to hear Cale's answer. "I guess it is."
Cale was smiling. 'They're running wild.'
The three ancient powers inside Cale's body were running wild. '...I guess they want a reunion with a long lost friend?'
Cale slowly started to smile again.
It was at that moment.
Swiiish- The wind that was gathered below Cale's feet started to surround the boulder.
The boulder and the wind made contact with each other.
Ruuuuumble. The boulder started to shake as soon as the two made contact. Cale could feel the rumbling underneath his feet. The boulder started to crack on its own.
At that moment, a foreign voice started to speak in Cale's mind. It was a profound voice that seemed to belong to a righteous person.
'I came to the right spot.' Cale was feeling extremely giddy.
• My friend of wind, you have finally arrived. My dear friend, I- mm?
The profound voice became nervous.
• Huh?
The voice seemed extremely confused as well.
• ...What is going on?
The profound voice, the owner of the Super Rock he heard so much about, started to speak in a nervous voice.
• Why is Thief with Crybaby and even Glutton—? Who are you?
Cale started to speak. "My name is Cale Henituse."
Ron, Beacrox and Choi Han looked at Cale, who was suddenly introducing himself, with confusion. However, there was someone grabbing their shoulder and hands then pulling them back.
(Rosalyn holds Choi Han's shoulder, On holds Ron's hand, while Hong holds Beacrox's hand)
"We can't bother him." Rosalyn said. "I've read somewhere once that people who receiving the trial to gain Ancient Power need to face it alone. You can't help him."
"Yes, I think that time was when he got the shield, he was alone at that time."
"Yes, alone."
Said the siblings.
"Human did told that to me once, when he was getting the Aura Ancient power at the swamp." Raon cautiously didn't mentioned the Puzzle city at all.
Raon was then holding his head up with his short paws as he observed Cale. 'Our human is in a weird state.'
The wood and the wind powers of nature were surrounding Cale right now while the power of earth was coming out from between the cracks in the boulder.
"We'll guard him." Said Raon decisively. He had been watching Cale for so long, it wasn't for nothing. He learnt a lot.
The boulder continued to crack as they did that.
Crrraaaaaack-
The boulder that was cracking on its own looked odd. A shocked voice was speaking to Cale inside his head while that was going on outside.
• ...There's a human who earned all three of their powers.
The voice was full of shock and disbelief, however, Cale could only focus on the cracking boulder. 'This was an entrance.'
He could see darkness through the cracks in the boulder. The darkness was headed downward and leading to an underground area.
Although it could have been difficult to take a step into that pitch black darkness, Cale did not hesitate to walk inside.
• Take the belonging of my friends. You have earned the right to do that.
"Thank you in advanced then, Super Rock."
• You know me? I guess you do... nice to meet you, Cale.
There was no reason to hesitate when the home-owner gave him permission. Cale disappeared into the darkness.
"Shouldn't we follow him, Raon-nim?" Ask Ron who tried to be calm.
Raon shook his head. "I also want to, but we have to believe in Human. Let's wait, grandpa."
"Yes, Mr. Ron, if there's anyone who can do all these amazing thing, it's definitely young master Cale." Comforted Rosalyn.
Raon flew to the ground and calmly observed the cave that appeared once the boulder cracked. Cale had disappeared into the darkness and was no longer visible.
However, Cale was not having any issues with going in the right direction while inside the darkness. 'The earth is showing me the way.'
It was an interesting experience. An unknown language showed Cale the way every time he took a step forward. This allowed him to have no fear as he continued to walk.
Clack. Clack. He continued to walk farther into the darkness.
'I wonder what they left behind. He said belongings of his friends.'
These were things left behind since ancient times. Cale's feet felt as light as a feather. At that moment, he heard the voice of the Super Rock.
• I lived a very difficult life. I became an orphan at a young age and had to survive on my own.
"Sigh, why are all your friends have such a pitiful life?"
• Yes, I did wonder that as well. I have found out later that I have a power. Though the only thing I could control was the earth beneath me and the earth gave me strength as well.
Cale nodded as he continued to walk forward.
• Ah, I remember how my dream was to be able to eat three hearty meals a day and sleep without any worries.
Cale stopped walking.
• However, I realized that I was given a power by Heaven and thought that I needed to use the power for good. That was why I always looked for ways to help people. I wanted to be someone who could protect the weak people who reminded me of my past.
Cale crossed his arms and quietly listened to the voice.
• And I do not regret the life that I chose.
Cale's lips started to twist.
• However, if there is something I do regret, it is the fact that I stuck too tightly to my beliefs. I chose to stay and protect the weak, even when I knew that my friends were in danger.
Cale closed his eyes, remembering the life that Glutton, Crybaby and Thief had told him so far.
• I protected the weak, however, all of my friends ended up dying. That is why the only thing I could do was find their belongings once they were gone.
'What's the point? They had each ended up dying a miserable death.' Cale grumbled internally. 'A glutton died eating dirt, the free wind ended up trap in the ocean, the one who could lived a long life lived his in regret.'
• In the end, I ended up leaving this world before I could pass their belongings onto the people who had earned their powers. But I am happy that I was able to protect this land.
Cale started to walk once again. There was no reason to pay any more attention to what the voice was saying.
Even though his friends still spoke fondly about him, the owner of the voice was different. He was very different compared to Cale.
Cale considered himself and his people to be more important than others. As for dying while protecting someone else? He didn't have any inclinations toward something like that.
'There's no reason for us to be similar.'
• I was happy. However, I was also sad that I could not see my friends before they died. I was sad that I could not pass their belongings on to their successors. I was sad that I too could not pass my power onto anyone before I died.
Cale could see a faint light at the end of the darkness. He started to walk faster. The light soon seemed to be right in front of him.
Flash. He could see once again. At that moment, the profound voice of Super Rock started to speak once again.
• This is what I have left behind.
A wide area appeared with orbs on the ceiling lighting up the entire area.
Cale was shocked. "...What the——"
It looked amazing.
• Ahem, I was not materialistic, but I paid attention to this place because I couldn't let my friends' successors come to a shabby place.
"Are you seriously saying that you're not materialistic!?"
He could see a five-story grand villa made with marble pillars.
The walls, pillars, and roof were simple, but they were placed in a way to make it look cool. The window frames, doors, and doorknobs all looked like an expert had spent numerous nights carefully carving them.
It was fancier than the Henituse Estate, no, even the crown prince's palace.
There was a garden in front of the villa as well. Although there were no trees, there were many eye-catching sculptures. There was also a fountain made of marble, even though there was no water flowing through it.
"Wow. I'm speechless."
• My house is a little nice. Ahem.
'Little? This is extremely nice. This person was surprisingly materialistic.'
Cale started to smile. Even though I don't like this person's past action of leaving his friends behind, everything else about this Super Rock is good.
However, the smile disappeared as soon as he saw something to the side of the villa.
"...What is that?" He saw something that gave him an ominous feeling.
There was a large stone pillar surrounded by metal chains. Furthermore, there were papers that looked like talismans all around the pillar.
Not only that, but there was also a magic circle surrounding the stone pillar in the middle and glowing dark red.
It was easy to think this was a stone pillar that sealed a Demon, a ghost, or even a Demon Lord.
Cale slowly walked away from the pillar.
At that moment, the profound voice started to speak again.
• There is a sad truth about this place.
Cale did not want to know about this now! However, as usual, Cale found out that the owner of the ancient power was one that didn't really listen to his words at all.
• When I was still alive, I saw that there were monsters here that I could not see anywhere else in the continent. They were monsters from the Eastern continent.
That was the same for the Forest of Darkness that Cale knew about. There were monsters from the Eastern continent, as well as many mutant monsters.
• I figured out the secrets behind that once I entered this cave.
'Maybe?' Cale's gaze turned toward the ugly stone pillar.
• There was a mysterious path in this cave that connected to the Eastern continent. The monsters that accidentally entered into that path ended up crossing over to this Western continent. They mutated and became stronger and more violent along the way.
Cale brushed his face with his hands. He still use his ability to Record everything
• But the path would not let humans, Elves, nor even Dwarves through it. Only monsters were able to go through this path.
'You said you entered the cave though before,... what are you, Super Rock!?'
• My friends and I were unable to decipher the mysteries of this path. All we could do was barricade the entrance on both sides to in order prevent the stronger mutated monsters from crossing over. I protected the Western entrance.
He had learned about something I don't know the usage of once again.
• It is a strong seal that should last at least 100,000 years. Only someone in possession of my power is able to remove the seal prior to the scheduled deadline.
Cale's frown lessened a bit. The ancient times were only 10,000 years ago.
"Hmm." Cale looked around the area. There was a lot of space in here next to the villa and the garden.
He had a thick smile on his face as he headed toward the villa. He had no choice but to do so.
The Sound of the Wind had been pointing toward the villa ever since he arrived. It was the same for the Indestructible Shield, and the Vitality of the Heart.
• Enter.
The home-owner was telling him to enter as well.
Screeeech- The door that was at least 10,000 years old was still functioning properly.
How was this possible? That was the thought on Cale's mind as he entered.
Clack. Clack. The floor was made of marble.
Cale walked past an elegant lamp and all sorts of sculptures before looking around the empty first-floor hall and looking up. He could see a staircase that led up to the fifth floor.
• It is on the third floor.
Cale stepped onto the stairs. There was a lot of dust on them, but the beauty could not be hidden. There were empty rooms and a beautiful terrace on the second floor.
Cale hurried up to the third floor. There were multiple rooms on the third floor as well.
• It is the inner four rooms.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
