《How Cale Henituse Changes His Future》Chapter 182: Cale's First Visit to his Mother & Secret Revealed
Advertisement
Right after the settle everything in the Forest of Darkness, Cale asked Raon to teleport him back to his room inside the Henituse estate.
When Cale walked out of his room, many servants was surprised. But Cale ignored all their stares, and walked straight toward the place where he arranged to meet with Basen, who was tasked to lead Cale to his mother's resting place.
**********************************
Cale was nervous, to be honest. This was the first time he visited his mother since that day, the day he decided to take revenge for the family in his past life.
"We're here, Hyung-nim"
They were on a small mountain with a vibrant forest, unlike the other mountains that were used to mine marble.
Actually, it was probably more accurate to call this a hill. Cale looked at this hill that was located right behind the Henituse Estate for a moment.
"Human! This place is eerie!" Raon fluttered his wings while floating next to Cale.
And then behind Cale...
"Hyung-nim." Basen was standing there with a stiff expression on his face.
His brother seemed quite nervous about something. Did something happen during the trips outside?
Basen peeked at Raon and hesitated before he asked. "Are you going to go alone?"
He sounded extremely concerned.
Cale had a very distressed and shameful expression. "I want to... however I am ashamed to say that I didn't remember well of the location of my mother's grave. I never visit her before..."
The memories was hazy even with Record. He wasn't in the right mind at that time. He was full of anger and regrets.
Basen should know where it was located.
"Basen, please lead the way."
Basen flinched in shock while looking at Cale, who sounded very distressed and desperate.
"Please. We need to hurry."
He snapped out of it after hearing Cale's comment and started to walk. Each step felt extremely heavy.
'I really don't know anything about Hyung-nim at all. No one ever mentioned about his birth mother, and everything related to her was locked up for some reasons.'
"Our Human's little bro! Hurry. Human had waited for so long to visit his mother. But there are too many things to do."
Basen snapped out of his thought and hurried his footsteps at the comment. "O-Okay, Raon-nim. Let's go right away!"
"Good." The young black Dragon smiled as he nodded his round head.
"Basen, did father bring you here before?" Cale's face was still a little downcast.
"Yes, Hyung-nim. I-I've come with father before." Basen was determined that he should follow Raon's suggestion to hurry.
It was after all the first time seeing Cale like this.
He stepped forward and started to climb the hill. He could feel Cale walking behind him.
'I don't know why Hyung-nim suddenly wanted to come here, but I'm glad that there is something I can do for him.'
Basen had such thoughts as he walked forward when he heard Cale's voice behind him.
"...How is m-mother?"
Cale had left the Estate as soon as he arrived and met Basen along the way. He was in a hurry to visit his birth mother.
Basen could not see Cale since he was in the front, but he slowly started to smile. 'Hyung-nim has always been like this.'
He seemed disinterested at times and even cold after mother was introduced to him, but... he was actually a warm person down inside.
Basen wasn't sure why his Hyung hid that part of him, but he was glad that he started to show his true self to the family now, albeit still pretty awkward.

As Cale suddenly sought to go to his biological mother's grave when he was busy with going around the continent, which Basen presumed to save even more people.
Basen thought that it was very like Cale to cautiously ask about his other mother, Violan, along the way.
"Mother told me to apologize on her behalf for being unable to come to see you because she is busy and asked me to thoroughly observe you to make sure that you do not have any injuries."
"Well, please tell her that I'm well. How about Lily?"
"Ah." Basen gasped.
"...Lily, she says she wants to come as well..." He stopped for a moment before continuing. "She is throwing a tantrum about it right now."
"Why not bring her with you?"
".... I thought this was important for you. So I decided on my own that I shouldn't bring anyone else along, even if it's Lily."
"Ah, I guess. But how are her training right now?"
"...She is skilled enough to easily defeat most of the regular knights in the territory and is almost on par with the higher-level knights."
"...She is?"
"Yes, Hyung-nim."
"What a genius."
"She sure is."
The two siblings stopped talking for a moment, thinking about Lily, who was getting stronger by the day.
"Human! Your sister is amazing! She is really strong!"
"She is." Cale nodded his head. 'Should I just let Lily be the territory lord in the future if she wants to do it?'
He felt as if their territory would become the strongest in the Roan Kingdom if she would be the territory lord. But it didn't matter, either Basen or Lily as the lord was both fine.
"Hyung-nim. Umm, may I ask why you are heading to your mother's grave?"
Cale thought about his father, Count Deruth after hearing Basen's cautious question. 'Father asked me just as cautiously.'
Cale remembered the talk with Deruth while he was in the Empire.
"Father. I apol—"
"Cale. Why have you become so thin again? I know you're busy but you have to take care of yourself."
"Father... I know. I'll take better care of myself."
"Mn, that's good enough. Now, is there anything you need my help on?"
"I'm planning to move a castle to the Forest of Darkness. So I think I need to inform you about it, in case there would be a shocking surprise." Cale had his expression soften.
"Son, do whatever you want. It's perfectly fine. I told you, I'll support you on everything, as long as you stay safe." Deruth looked at Cale with a very supportive expression. "But show yourself once in a while, please. I miss you, son."
"Yes, I will go see you after the moving was done. But father..." Cale hesitated. "It looks like I will need to head to mother's resting place for a moment."
Deruth was silent for a bit before he asked just as cautiously as Basen had just done.
"Mother left something else there."
"Okay. Just do whatever you have to do."
"Father, after this, I will tell you everything. So please wait for me to go back."
"Ok. I will wait. You can take your time, if it's difficult for you. I can wait." Deruth said patiently.
"Cale, I just wanted to let you know that your mother loved you very much. There's probably still nobody in this world who loves you as much as she loved you. Even I couldn't compared to her."

Deruth didn't know the exact reason for everything that happened around Cale when he was younger, but he could definitely be sure that Jur had gone somewhere and returned with critical condition for their son's sake.
Even though Cale had learnt to slowly hide his real feelings. Deruth was aware that sometimes he would stared at the door that stored away everything related to his childhood and Jur before turning away and locked himself in his room.
'He wanted to go in, but he was scared of something.' That was his thought at that time.
"I know, father, I know too well." Cale smiled sadly.
Deruth, who snapped back from his thought, assured Cale gently. "I don't know why you are going there, but I'm sure you have your reasons. Take your time. Don't worry about anything."
He then smiled. "I'm truly relieved to see that you are okay. That is all that matters to me."
Cale calmly responded to Basen, who asked as cautiously as Deruth had done. "I came to get something mother left behind."
"I-I see!" Basen responded before stopping and moving a few steps to the side.
Cale could see a headstone.
[Jur Thames]
Cale kneeled down and touch the name gently. "Mother, I've finally could come to see you."
From the time he regressed until now, because of his mother's diary, he could only focused on things he needed to handle in the present and for the future.
'It's clean. It should have been my duty, but I couldn't even do that.'
The grave was extremely well-maintained. The graves of the other ancestors were clean as well, but his mother's gave off the feeling that it was very clean and that someone had recently maintained it.
'Did father come recently? Maybe he was telling you about my change these two years...'
Regardless of whom it was, Cale made up his mind that he would be the one to maintain this grave in the future. He thought that this was his duty in the first place and he planned to fulfill it no matter what.
"Basen. Will you head down first?" Cale said softly without turning back.
Basen noticed the sorrow in Cale's eyes as he looked at the headstone and urgently nodded his head. "Yes, Hyung-nim! I will head down first! I will wait for you at the bottom of the hill! Please take your time."
Basen hesitated before adding on. "A-And please, please call me if you ever, really, if you ever need me for anything!"
"Okay. Thank you, Basen."
Basen felt slightly relieved seeing the smile on Cale's face and started to walk down.
Cale walked toward the headstone once he could not see Basen any longer.
"Mum...."
Cale started to recount everything that happened to him since regression, even if what he got back was silence.
Raon just stood next to Cale and listened silently as well.
"So I've come to take your ancient power now, but I don't feel anything. How should I get it, mum?" Cale mumbled.
Every other ancient power Cale had gotten until now had a peculiar and unique feel around them.
The Sound of the Wind had caused whirlpools in the ocean.
The Fire of Destruction had been at the center of lava.
The Indestructible Shield had been looking for food from underneath a tree.
But unlike those other ancient powers, it was just quiet here.
Cale thought carefully, then took out the Enchanted box that had been with him all the time. Cale took a dagger out and gently stabbed his finger and put the small drop of blood on the magic circle to open the box containing the diary.
Raon was shocked at the sudden action and couldn't speak for a moment.
Cale started to reread the diary carefully for any clues, and then he found the hidden message using the game he used to play with his mother.
(Tsuki: I've tried.... Just read and ignore it after... I mean, Cale loves to read books... so Jur comes up with a game, that game help with hidden messages... something like that.)
"... Part... Diary... Buried...?" Cale looked confused for a moment. "Did father not know about this? Did mum have another helper to bury the diary?"
"Human! Should I help you dig?" Raon asked cautiously.
"No. This is something I should do." He shook his head at Raon's question and took out a small trowel from his spatial pocket bag.
"Why would you do something like this? I have to disturb your resting place even though I couldn't even come to clean it before. Silly mother." Cale grumbled.
He looked at the headstone and the grave behind it with a pale face and bowed his head. He then started to dig.
Chh, chh. Cale dug as careful as possible, afraid to damage anything by accident.
"...My goodness." Raon gasped while looking at the crouching Cale. "...Our Human...is sweating so much after barely even digging. His stamina...is worse than a piece of paper...I really need to imprison him at home for a while......"
Cale ignored Raon's shocked mumblings and continued to dig.
Tap! The trowel hit something hard at that moment and Cale started to dig with his hands.
"It's another Enchanted box." Cale made another wound and put the blood on the magic circle.
Ooooooooong- There was a small vibration, and the box opened without any issues.
"Human, potion, potion."
"The bleeding has already stopped."
It was a small prick, so the Vitality of the Heart easily stopped the bleeding.
Cale looked at the box.
The box was the same as the one before, full of magic circles on the inside. It was a preservation spell for the diary.
"Huuuuuu." He took a deep breath before picking up the diary. 'I think that mum had already expected many of the things that happened.'
The wood attribute ancient power. The person with the power to see the annual rings of all living beings.
Cale slowly opening the diary. His face stiffened up as soon as he read the first page of the diary.
"It was hard without you, but I managed. I found the happiness you talked about, mum. But I couldn't fully enjoy it yet. Don't worry, I planned to settle everything and enjoy it to the fullest."
"Yes! We will live joyfully with every one of our family! I will be by your side all the time, Human!" Raon chimed in.
"Yes, thank you, Raon." Cale patted Raon before he continued reading.
'...White Star ended up taking that though. That is the essence of her power? It's a relief that White Star doesn't have the information about it and can only tell that a person's time has been warped?'
Cale's eyes clouded for a moment. '...But I always thought that mum seemed to know everything in advance and prepared for it? Is it related to the half of the power that is here?'
He then noticed some other statements.
"Right, because that stupid idiot Choi Jungsoo rejected the offer from God of Death, so I'm the final choice. Because I'm both the Variable as a Regressor and one of the souls that were impacted by the Reincarnator, White Star."
Cale was about to look at the diary when he heard a voice that made him turn his head.
"Human! What does that mean?" Raon, who could not see the diary, puffed up his cheeks as if was upset about what he had just heard. "Human, you are not someone who would be affected by that white thing!"
It was based on what Cale had just mumbled.
"...Because I'm both the Variable as a Regressor and one of the souls that were impacted by the Reincarnator, White Star."
Raon waved both paws around as if to object to that statement.
Pfft. Cale let out a quiet chuckle.
"I'll explain to our smart Raon later, okay?"
"Okay, Human, I'll wait."
Cale turned back to the diary.
"..." Cale closed his eyes. 'It helped a lot, but I wish you were with me instead. Even if I couldn't meet everyone on earth, I'd rather choose for you not to sacrifice yourself for me.'
"...Human, are you okay?" Raon cautiously observed Cale's face before peeking at the diary.
"Huh?!" His eyes then opened wide. "Human, this!"
The corners of Cale's lips curled up sadly.
"Human, can we finally find a way to defeat that white thing? Is that why you told gramps to leave it to you?"
Flip. Cale turned the page, and both Cale and Raon could see the contents written in there.
He read one of the statements written there, almost as an addendum, out loud. "A Reincarnator's soul will not lose its memories because you kill its present body. A Reincarnator is someone who can record the memories of many lives within their soul."
A reincarnator was said to be someone who got a new body but maintained their old memories instead of getting a new body with new memories like everybody else.
"That is why a Reincarnator will have one large annual ring with numerous smaller annual rings mixed in there."
Cale slowly read the next statements out loud as if he was savoring them. "That is why a Reincarnator will not face complete death because you attack their body. There are probably many ways to completely kill a Reincarnator, but I, and my family, only know of one method."
Jur had recorded this one method as the last gift for her beloved son.
That record was now in her son's hands. He slowly ran his fingers over that record.
The method to kill a Reincarnator.
The center and foundation for the numerous smaller annual rings. That border that encompassed all of the smaller rings...
This was the method to completely get rid of White Star... This was the method to stop him from reincarnating again.
"Human, even if you can see the annual ring, how do you attack it?"
"Down."
"Down?" Raon's gaze followed Cale's hand and looked down.
Raon's pupils started shaking. "Human! Does that mean ancient powers will work?!"
"Keep reading, Raon."
"...Ah." Raon sulked.
However, Cale's eyes were clouding over the more he read, so Raon continued to read as well.

Godfather Of Champions
This is a story about the pursuit of victory.— «I subscribe only to the theory of victory. I only pursue victory. As long as I am able to obtain victory, I don’t care if it’s total football or counterattack. What is the ultimate goal of professional soccer? In my opinion, it is victory, and the pinnacle of victory is to become the champions. I am a manager. If I don’t wish to lose my job or be forgotten by the people, there’s only one path for me to take, and that is to lead the team in obtaining victories, in obtaining championship titles!»The main character was not well-liked by people.— «⋯We conducted a survey which had been deemed by Manager Tony Twain as extremely meaningless. In a random street survey conducted, ninety-three percent of those surveyed chose the option ‘I hate Tony Twain’, while only seven percent chose the option ‘This person is rather decent, I like him’. It is worth noting that nobody chose the option ‘Who is Tony Twain? I don’t know him’. Mark, do you know why Manager Twain felt that our survey was very meaningless?» Parker, a reporter from laughed loudly and said when he was being interviewed by BBC.But there were also people who were madly in love with him.— When Tony Twain was forced to talk about the survey conducted by during an interview, his reply was : «I am happy, because Nottingham Forest’s fans make up seven percent of England’s population.»And he did not seem to care about how the others saw him.— «What are you all trying to make me say? Admit that I am not popular, and everywhere I go will be filled with jeers and middle fingers. You all think I will be afraid? Wrong! Because I am able to bring victory to my team and its supporters. I don’t care how many people hate me and can’t wait to kill me, and I also won’t change myself to accommodate the mood of these losers. You want to improve your mood? Very simple, come and defeat me.»His love story had garnered widespread attention.— «Our reporters took these pictures at Manager Tony Twain’s doorsteps. It clearly shows that Shania entered his house at 8.34pm and she did not leave the house throughout the night at all. But Manager Tony Twain firmly denies, and insists that that was merely the newest-model inflatable doll which he had ordered. He was the number one star of the team.— «⋯ Became the spokesperson of world-wide famous clothing brands, shot advertisements, frequented the fashion industry’s award ceremonies, endorsed electronic games, has a supermodel girlfriend. His earnings from advertisements exceed his club salary by seventeen times, owns a special column in various print medias, publishing his autobiography (in progress), and is even said that he is planning to shoot an inspirational film based off his own person experiences! Who can tell me which part of his life experiences is worthy of being called ‘inspirational’? Hold on⋯. Are you all thinking that I’m referring to David Beckham? You’re sorely mistaken! I’m talking about Manager Tony Twain⋯.»He was very knowledgeable about Chinese soccer.— «⋯ I’ve heard about it, that Bora gifted four books to his manager Mr. Zhu before your country’s national team’s warm up match. After which, the team lost 1:3 to a nameless American team from Major League Soccer. The new excuse that Mr. Zhu gave for losing the match, was that Bora gifted «books» (‘books’ and ‘lose’ are homophones in the Chinese language). Here, I recommend that you guys find out what that one specific book is. Which book? Of course the one that caused you all to score a goal. After that, tell me the title of the book. Before every match, I will gift ten copies of that same book to you. In that case, won’t you all be able to get a triumphant 10:0 win over your opponents every time?» An excerpt taken from Tony Twain’s special column in a certain famous Chinese sports newspaper. He was loved and hated by the press.— «He has a special column in at least four renowned print media, and he is able to get a considerable amount of remuneration just by scolding people or writing a few hundred words of nonsense weekly. While we have to contemplate hard about our drafts for three days before our boss is pleased with it. In an article inside his special column, he scolded and called all of the media ‘son of a bitch’, announcing that he hated the media the most. But every time he publishes an article, we flock towards him like flies which had spotted butter. Why? Because the readers like to read his news and see him scold people. I dare to bet with you, and Manager Tony Twain knows clearly in his heart as well, that even though he says that he hates us, he knows that the present him cannot do without us. Similarly, we also cannot do without him. Is this ultimately considered a good or a bad thing?» Bruce Pearce, a reporter from said with a face of helplessness when talking about Tony Twain. But no matter the case, his players were his most loyal believers.— Gareth Bale, «No no, we never had any pressure when playing on our home grounds. Because the pressure is all on the manager. As long as we see him standing by the side of the field, all of us will feel that we will be able to win that match. Even the football hooligans are like meek lambs in front of him!» (After saying this, he began to laugh out loudly)The reply from George Wood, the team captain of Nottingham Forest, was the most straightforward. «We follow him because he can bring us victory.»The legendary experience of Tony Twain, the richest, most successful, most controversial manager with the most unique personality!Debuting this summer.Thank you for reading.
