there are plenty of ditches in this living game called life. all of us deal with them, on our own. most of the times we try and avoid them, however at some point you can find yourself falling in one. and if it's a deadly ditch you are doomed.

so when you fall in one like those you feel like there's no way to be saved. even if you scream, cry for help– there will be no one to help.

They'll just look at you, pitying you.

and right now I'm facing that situation. deep in this ditch, screaming for help by the look on my face, by my body language, by the tears I tried to hold on. but, no one cared. nobody even noticed.

I wasn't in fault, but again I was. does this make sense? I bet not. that's why I wanna give up.

Yoongi suspects me, what can get worse than this?

I looked at him with tearful eyes even though I wanted to stay strong. It was hard, no matter how hard I try not to cry... I always end up showing this pathetic side of me.

He really thinks I did something like this?

yes I did it in a way– by not telling anyone. I did a mistake I admit, but do I really deserve this? maybe... maybe god is punishing me. after all, if I told everyone I smelled something odd in the kitchen, perhaps Yoongi would be celebrating his birthday, not lay down severely injured on that bed after fighting for his life.

"so Ms.Y/N, have you done this?" Jin asked the first thing after sitting opposite of you.

After yoongi told he suspects you, he refused to talk and the doctor told them to not question him any further. It was indeed strange. What was the most strange thing is as he looked at you eye to eye while announcing he suspects you he broke the eye contact harshly like he didn't want to say your name.

but that's what only Jungkook thought. the man sees everything in a different perspective after all.

right now you were inside Jin's office room. taehyung was waiting outside for you. it warms your heart seeing how he always stays by your side when everyone else back faces you.

"I didn't" you spoke in instant.

"when you went inside the kitchen, you smelled nothing?"

"I did but it wasn't that strong. I didn't even think it was gas, I thought it was coming from outside"

"Did you see the window open?"

"No it was closed."

"So how did you assume it was coming from outside? When the window is closed I suppose something's smell can't come inside. Specially after our team analyzed the kitchen properly it seemed impossible. Isn't it strange?" Jin's explanation did make you silent.

Now if you think, it is actually ridiculous for you to assume something like that.

"I-I didn't realize" you stuttered and that made Jin to arch a brow.

"Y/N... We are still working on your case and you getting involve with another one is really..." He didn't know how to finish his sentence.

"is really suspicious" you finished his words while looking at him blankly.

"I don't want to assume things on you. I personally think you're innocent but as a police officer I have to suspect even the innocent ones"

"I know officer. I'm not stopping you. But what I can say is... I didn't do this. I thought yoongi... No no I think yoongi as a good friend. And one can't do this with their friend without no valid reason" You said with a smile knowing maybe yoongi don't think you as a friend.

"thank you for cooperating y/n. since nothing is proved against you, I'm not taking you under arrest. but I would request you to not leave the city for a while"

"We found the culprit's car." Jin's response made you stood up with a smile.

Maybe finally they got them. maybe.

"You found him??!"

"unfortunately no" hearing him you slowly sat down with your smile fading. "the car was found below one of the cliffs deep in the forest that's located at the city end. and it's sure that someone deliberately did this. plus the car was burnt to crisp, leaving nothing more than a few burned metals so we couldn't even get the fingerprint on the steering wheel or any other part" you clenched your fists hearing him.

How was everything becoming more and more difficult? Who was this guy anyway?

was he the one who did all this with yoongi? the thought went away as soon as it came. Why would that murderer do something like this?

"I deeply apologize. We will do further investigation on it as well. He will be caught one day. Trust us"

"I do" you really did. because Jungkook was back in the case again. when you heard from him that Jin finally allowed him to work in the case, you were relieved.

"You can leave now. Oh by the way we have to talk with Mr.Kim as well." Hearing this you hesitated at first but nodded with a slight smile.

you didn't want to drag taehyung in this mess, however he was already involved so what to do?

after walking out of the office you saw taehyung sitting there on a couch, a worried look imprinted on his face.

just when you saw his face, all worry and anxiety went away in a moment. you ask yourself everyday, just what you did to deserve him? He was the only one that brought colours in your life painting it in a way you always imagined it to be.

after he noticed your presence he promptly stood up and walked to you with that same concerned look.

"You okay? Did he go harsh on you? He didn't ask anything uncomfortable right?"

"Woah woah calm down tae. He didn't. I'm fine. But he called you in now for asking few questions" you said the last phrase with a guilty tone.

"Oh okay, wait for me then, will you?" He said with a smile before walking to the office. But he stopped when he felt two hands around his waist from back.

"I'm sorry tae" he turned around to face you with a smile. That boxy smile.

"Why would you be sorry? We promised each other we will face all the problems together, didn't we?" He said kissing your forehead.

Tears formed in your eyes but you smiled which made them to fall.

"I love you tae... More than anything" his eyes sparkles hearing you.

"I love you too Y/N... You're my everything" he said wiping your tears with his thumb before walking away.

You stood there clenching your hand on your chest. Sniffing and looking at his back you just wished internally, For Taehyung to always stay in your life.

"Hello Mr.Kim. nice to meet you. take a seat" Jin said with a smile which Taehyung returned with a small one.

His bright and boxy smile only belonged to you.

"The pleasure would have been all mine but under the circumstances I can't probably say that" Jin chuckled hearing Taehyung but he maintained his straight face.

"I acknowledge that very well. We are just doing our work"

"Of course. What do you want to ask me about?"

"Do you think Y/N can do this?"

"I'm surprised you don't know the answer already" Taehyung chuckled with an amused look.

"Well Do you think Yoongi is lying then?" Taehyung arched his brow hearing him.

"I'm not in the place to say this but that man is really traumatized with the sudden incident. But that doesn't change the fact he suspected his friend without any valid reason. Anyway are you now suspecting Yoongi?"

"Jungkook told me there's something fishy about Yoongi. And I think the same. Anyway that's all for you. you can leave now" Jin said with a polite smile but Taehyung was in deep thought before smiling at the man.

"Okay. Good luck on this case as well"

As Taehyung was leaving, Jungkook entered the room. Both of them looked straight at each other.

None of them smiled. Jungkook pierced his eyes with hatred towards taehyung so did he.

They looked like rivals.

Taehyung bumped his shoulder with Jungkook's arm and without an apology he smirked and walked away.

Jungkook glared at him and clenched his fist. He really didn't like this man. Something was too off about him.

Taehyung came out and saw Y/N looking at the sky from the window with a soft smile on her face.

She was trying so hard to stay strong. And Taehyung felt guilty in some way. Was he on the right path?

he shook his head when the sudden question popped in his mind before he happily walked to his love of life,
